Crisp clear image. Easy to use. Exude build quality. 12 x magnification gives you just that little extra power and makes these binoculars well suited to long-distance viewing e.g. coastal use. However, my own view is that they are also good for nature watching, especially if you have a steady surface to rest your elbows on. The 56 mm objective lenses give you that little extra light (compared to the usual standard 50 mm lenses) and mean that these binoculars have the edge in dull or overcast light conditions. There are, it has to be said, other 12 x magnification binoculars available on the market (e.g. Leica) that will perform even better BUT the increase in quality of the image is relatively marginal and you will pay (literally)

I have owned these for nearly a year now and for the money you won't get better they are awesome optics build quality everything I own a pair of Swarovski 8x42 el but always find myself taking my Hawkes when I go out for the field of view the optics are not a million miles away from the swaros shocked they really are that good everyone thats looked through em says the same

I'm very happy to own a pair of Hawke binocular.The clearity is amazing although it came without the ocular cover, case strap and the neck strap were also missing as it was mentioned in the description.So that's why 4 stars all because of its performance.
