This has been a very successful buy.Because of a handful of negative reviews I was in two minds whether to go ahead and buy, even though it looked like what I needed. I am very glad that I did. I have to say that I cannot agree with the reviews saying that the finish is poor, or that the build is flimsy. The finish certainly has a casual simplicity, but I am certain that it is intended, and not the result of poor manufacturing. I think it looks excellent. Construction was straightforward and the finished piece is very solid, showing very good fit and even clearances around the doors and other moving parts. I am delighted with it and highly recommend it.

Think this is a really stylish piece of furniture which is not that difficult to assemble if you follow the instruction carefully and are a bit patient. I hate having wires and ITboxes showing so this is a perfect solution as the remote works through the slats without having to open anything. I love how low the unit is. One of the hinges on the door was not attached properly and there was absolutely no quibble about having a replacement door sent out and the faulty one taken away. Excellent delivery men on both occasions. Would definitely recommend unit.

bought 2 large units to partially span a long wall space.arrived when scheduled, after short wait. simple to construct and am pleased with the quality. look great in place. very happy with the product. only disappointment was I was unable to order an additional unit in the smaller size due to being out of stock/no longer available. did locate one from alternative source so now have a brilliant bank of units spanning the room. I'm really pleased with it all .

We bought this Max TV unit about 3 weeks ago- the delivery guy was very helpful and professional. The TV unit was well packaged and my husband put it together in a few hours and the unit has been great, really solid- I love the push/release mechanism for the doors. The oak is solid and to be hones it looks even better in real life. Totally recommend this TV unit, contemporary design, functionally really useful and looks ace.

Bought both large and small Max AV units to go across the width of a room. They are good looking units and go well with our oak floor, though I imagine they would work well with any style of decor. Well made, easy to construct, with instructions that are clear and concise. Allow remote controls to be used with audio equipment in the cabinet. Can't see the cables unless you stand right over the unit. Very pleased.

I bought this a few weeks ago after having my eye on it for a very long time. Its not a cheap piece of furniture but I did get it in the sale which I think made it very good value. Its very solid and visitors always admire it.My only criticism is that the top back corner has a bit of an imperfection where the veneer is starting to lift. Nobody else would notice but my partner and I know its there.

Have lived with this for a few months now and I absolutely love it! Excellent quality and fairly easy to assemble (I managed on my own) though it would have been even easier with two as some of the pieces are quite long to manoeuvre on your own. There's room on top for a 42" TV, table lamp and a few ornaments and plenty of space for the router, DVD player and other paraphernalia underneath. Love it!

Took about an hour to assemble, relatively easy to put together with clear instructions. You can tell as it is going together that it is a quality piece with perfectly veneered panels. Overall size and scale is spot on and the slatted front panels nicely hide electronics without affecting wireless/IR signals from remote controls

Well made, looks amazing . Easy to assemble (even for me) . Others I have looked at look flimsy but not this one. Habitat for me is a blast from the past back in 1969 in Bromley . Another order just placed , a chair this time. Well done Habitat . Lovely your on line site

We bought this to go with another max product we already had. Very smart and you would not know it was flat packed. Easy to put together and hides away all those unattractive cables. Well though out design and functionality.

This unit is almost exactly the same as one in Heals but is a fraction of the price. There was quite a bit of work putting it together but the instructions were clear and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Looks fabulous.

Absolutely love this TV, cabinet. From ordering through to delivery was easy. Assembly wasn’t too taxing. Looks the part in the living room, especially like that the front closes and hides gadgets behind. Really happy.

This took my husband 2 hour to put together alone but it’s lovely. Solid,heavy and great quality. You can tell that the wood looks raw so it does - as suggested - need some furniture oil but it really is recommended.

Lovely solid wood TV unit. The salt effect at the front allows for venting of consoles underneath and I don’t even have to have it open to operate the virgin box. Hides all the mess that accumulates under the TV.

The two units arrived yesterday and are now sitting in what will soon be a contemporary new den. Stylish, good quality, easy to put together...everything we've come to expect from Habitat. Delighted!
