This case is well padded to protect the GPS device, yet is still small enough to put in a cargo pocket, a purse or hang on a belt loop. A GPS device is too expensive to leave unprotected and this case does the job. We use our Garmin for both traveling and geocaching, so it is handled a lot. Highly recommend this item.

This hard shelled case has a little Garmin logo tag sticking out one side. The zipper has a loop that is covered in a plastic/rubber strap cover. The Nuvi 500 Garmin GPS fits perfectly under the elastic strap inside the one cover and the outside texture is a rubbery cloth that prevents sliding around on the seat.

This was perfectly created for our Nuvi 500. It's a hard case with a soft feel and its great for protection when its in a bag or backpack. Makes traveling with our GPS even more comfortable!

The Garmin carrying case is really well made and cheap insurance against damage to this wonderful device (the GPS). They should really include it with the GPS. Recommended.

One of the best cases to protect and carry expensive electronic equipment that I have ever owned. A must addition for 500 or 550 owners.

I love this carrying case. I'm so glad I got it... its tough exterior is good for someone who tends to drop things!

The case fits the GPS perfectly, covers it nicely. I keep it in my car all the time so it protects it

If you have the older Garmin Nuvi 500 GPS this works great. It's a nice snug fit and is very durable.
