RHM is short for 'rapid hand movement' and is intended to facilitate the movement of hands from the tops to the drops of the bars. This is achieved thanks to the compact geometry of the bars, meaning there is a shorter distance from the rear to the front of the bars, and also a slightly lesser distance from top to bottom, and a marked shortening of the drop area length compared to some standard bars.I find these comfortable thanks to the compact design which enables the brake levers to be more easily reached, and also the shorter drop which makes the movement from the hoods to the drops a little quicker. The difference is subtle but definitely noticeable.This is the DEDA 01 version,there is also an 02 model which has an aero shaped top to the bars - the straight section from stem to brake position - which results in a flattened and wider surface area for the hands which leads to a very comfortable feel when riding with the hands on top of the bars. I find the 02 aero design Deda Elementi Rhm 02 Black Cycle Road Bike Bars a little more comfortable and recommend them over the 01 version.The bars are available in several widths, and it's important to note that Deda quote the width as measured from the OUTSIDES of the bars rather than centre to centre.These are comfortable, fast and look great with the DEDA logo visible even after the bar tape has been applied.
