Mine are slight seconds, but still so beautiful that everyone who sees them admires them. The size is perfect for a whole can of chunky soup or similar. I am using mine for a complete dinner every day. The bottom is big and flat enough to be able to cut things if needed, but the bowl shape also means nothing spills over, and the rim is an excellent just-in-case for extra safety of your surface underneath. The glaze is so lovely with a subtle speckle in the colour. I had been looking for pasta dishes that took a main course easily rather than the smaller ones that are more for a side dish or people on diets, and these fit the bill perfectly. They have been in the dishwasher over and over since I got them and are still like new.
