Let me preface this review by stating that I've only been riding for about 8 months now. I have no experience with clipless. I was previously just using the stock plastic pedals, so in reality any pedals would have delivered a significant improvement in my riding. That being said, here's my rundown. Specs included for reference.Pedal: Stamp 7, LargeSince purchase: 87.2 miles over 13 rides.Bike: Roscoe 8 (Hardtail)Shoe in Photo: US Men's Nike Metcon 2, Size 10.1. Grip - The adjustable pins took 2-3 rides to get used to. At first, I felt like they were too grippy. I couldn't adjust my foot position through corners, etc. as easily, but after adapting to the grip, it's far superior. The pedals do not lose traction through water/mud/climbing.2. Durability - I've had a few pedal strikes, the most recent creating sparks. There are no bends/dents in the structure. Some of the paint has scratched/nicked, but that's understandable in my opinion.3. Flush Mount - This factors into the size consideration when purchasing. The pedals are flush mounted to the crank arm, so there is no .75-1 inch pedal spindle arm gap between the inner edge of the pedal and the crank arm. Perhaps this wouldn't matter to a more experienced rider but I noticed that I initially was scrubbing the crank arm with my shoes. Why is this important? I think buying the LARGE gave my the extra room needed to adjust to the gap and find stable footing without scrubbing.4. SIZE - This was the biggest hangup for me when purchasing. I'm a 10-10.5 depending on the shoe, so I'm right on the line for the small vs large. I opted for the large and could not be happier. If you're on the line between the small and large, I would highly recommend the LARGE.Since purchasing these, I have seen major improvements in overall riding performance and confidence trying new stuff, like jumps etc.Hope that helps,Cheers.

Honestly, I have only used these pedals for a few months- not nearly enough for a solid review. Coming from Straitline Jeff Lenosky sigs and Shimano Saint, the Large Stamp 7 offers tons of real estate to find grip. Yet, they are thin enough to where pedal strikes are not as common. These are a bit wide so that's something to keep in mind if you ride very tightly wooded singletrack or frequently squeeze between taller rocks. The bearings are different that what I have used in the past. At first, I was concerned because they do not spin as freely by hand. One being pedaled, they feel silky smooth and never cross my mind. One point that I had to adjust to is the concave platform is very subtle. There is less of a feeling of finding a sweet spot than I have experienced with other pedals, but this is made up for with the expansive real estate. With 510s there is plenty of grip to get you through whatever you need.

I have size 11 feet so I went with the large, which isn't obnoxiously large at all and only slightly larger in area than my previous Spank Oozy pedals. Having bushings instead of fancy bearings mean they don't spin freely (even less freely than the already sticky Spank bushings) but that's preferred for me as this is on my park bike. The grip is awesome tho (with my Five Ten Freeride shoes) so much so that it is a little difficult to reposition your feet. That said, I learned not to worry so much if my foot was centered as even partial contact with the pedal provides good enough grip in a pinch. The low profile and simple design is good at clearing mud too.I've only had them on the bike a week so I can't speak on durability but the grease ports and easy serviceability is a nice touch.Keep an eye on the pins for wear however, as they may prove difficult to remove if they get ground down.

Anyone looking at these should know they're a very nice pedal. However, there's a pedal out there called the Harrier by VP and those pedals are very similar, somewhat cheaper and also slightly bigger of a platform. And the VP Harrier is the pedal to beat when it comes to these large platform pedals with a thin and light profile that is durable. Price aside, I still think the VP wins every time. The only pedal to beat it is the VP harrier made with a titanium spindle for an extra Benjamin.P.S. Amazon sent me a pair of race face pedals that looked like these but are clearly not these. My review comes from previous experience/ownership of these pedals.Make sure you're getting the right thing if buying from Amazon warehouse!

Put these on and instantly found new life in my hybrid bike. Even without biking shoes, these things stick like crazy. Immediately ordered a second pair for my mountain bike. Can't beat the price too.Update 3/16/2020Purchased my 3rd set of Stamp 7's. This time a small set for the hybrid. I wear a size 10 and the larges work great for XC and trail with lots of room to plant your foot, but with the hybrid my feet don't move nearly as much, so the small made more sense. My first set of Stamp 7's I bought over a year ago did get a little wobble to them. They have been in use for XC, lots of creek crossings and few contacts with rocks. However pulling them apart (which was easy),cleaning and greasing eliminated that problem.

I am 67 now and have been using clipless pedal for several years but felt that i was too slow in unclipping so wanted to switch to a flat pedal. These pedals are working great for me, I have found foot placement is easy especially with the large size (I wear size 12 shoes). I have put several hundred miles on the pedals and have not had any issue with them. My feet stay in position and it actually feels as secure as the clipless pedals felt to me. It is a personal decision to switch to flat pedals and if you want a great flat pedal you should consider the Crank Brothers Stamp pedals.

I put these on my canyon spectral. I have a 14w foot and they feel great, they are the biggest pedals I have had and they are awesome so far after a couple rides. I noticed today I actually reposition my feet a bit while riding especially my right foot. These actually have so much grip it was impeding that slightly. I haven't adjusted the pins yet but I may screw them in a bit to adjust it. I'm sure that is not a typical problem and most people want maximum grip. I would guess when I adjust them a little they will be perfect.

The packaging is great- just what I would expect from a company like Crank Brothers.I bought these to replace my nylon composite RaceFace Chesters. They have quite a smaller footprint and less pronounced pins, but the grip is comparable. These installed as easily as any pedals. They are extremely comfortable for me (I wear men’s size 9 shoes), but could be an issue for riders with bigger feet. They are also lighter and thinner than Chesters, which really makes a difference if you have a bike with a lower bottom bracket.

Great pedal. I was debating getting new pedals or some FiveTen shoes for my hardtail to help with grip. I was using chesters, but found that the platform was a little small (I wear size 10.5 shoes) and grip was pretty good, but I wanted better. The Stamp 7s are amazing. The grip is incredible and they have withstood some really hard pedal strikes. I’ll eventually buy some FiveTens, but wearing an old pair of Nike Metcons works great. They are also thin and lite. I recommend these.

I first bought the Stamp 1 pedals and read a few reviews about the “bump” in the middle. As I rode I felt secure on the pedal with a pair of 5/10 shoes but something kept telling me to try the stamp 7’s. Boy I’m glad I did. With the concaved dip in the middle of the 7’s made a tremendous difference. If you’re on the fence with the 1’s vs 7’s....know that the 7s are rebuildable, stronger and come with extra pins to fine tune your grip. In my opinion pay the extra and get the 7’s.

These pedals look awesome on my white and red Specializes Fuse. The grip is almost mind blowing, but I did go from some pretty lame plastic pedals to these, so no wonder it was such a drastic difference. I wear an 11 shoe and the large pedal has plenty of room to fine tune my position. I haven't tried adjusting the grip pegs, was happy with the stock height. The pedals are pretty firm when mounted, I haven't had them flip over or anything on me but they also don't spin freely.

I always like well made things. And this pedal is very well made indeed. It's beautiful and matches my absolute black chainring. The pedals are super super grippy and very comfrotable. The pedals are closer to the cranks than before and over all have a sleaker look. These are great pedals period. You can't really say anything bad about them. I wouldn't spend 150$ or something on them but they were on sale for 100$ so I bought them in a heart beat and it was worth it

I can't imagine using anything other than flat pedals for mountain biking. That said the OE pedals were slipping, and considering how much we stand on our pedals, losing a foot can be ugly, and these are WAY better for that.It also has to be said that the thinner profile helps a lot. I haven't smacked a pedal on a rock in a long time, of course skill helps there, but sometimes you don't have a lot of time to adjust your pedal stroke on technical climbs :)

I purchased the Stamp 7 pedals for my carbon hybrid bike based on previous Crankbrothers pedal reviews. The quality and finish was excellent. I usually ride 3-4 times a week and after one month of use I have found the grip to be outstanding with my athletic training shoes. Lastly, very happy with the option for XL size pedals as they provide plenty of contact surface for my size 14 shoes. Highly recommended!

My favorite pedals yet. I had the older CrankBros 3 flat pedal and loved them but I somehow love these more. Slightly larger frame for my size 13 feet might be the difference maker over my previous pedal. Not really a thinner pedal (maybe a hair thinner? literally a hair) but I have noticed I don't strike the pedals as much. I keep the pins all the way down and they are still super sticky on my 510 shoes.
