We put this shelter up at the weekend and were very impressed by the quality of the materials, and the ease that the pieces went together.The inside of the pack said that you are best to layout a square on the ground before assembly, and this did make life much easier. However, they said that the diagonal on the square should be 6.6 m and I could not for the life of me get this to work, so I got out the calculator. "Coleman" instruction assemblers, repeat after me - in a right angled triangle, the square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the two opposing sides, so square root of 4.5*4.5*2 = 6.36. If you lay out the square with a 4.5 metre side and a 6.36 metre diagonal (NOT 6.6 metre),you will finish up with a perfect square and thus a lovely shelter that looks excellent.The other thing I did wrong was to attach the canvases anchoring hooks onto the legs before the canvas was in place - either slacken the hooks off a lot before you do this (or if it's a still day, put the canvas in place before securing any hooks, otherwise you'll finish up shouting at the shelter and having your wife call you a ******* idiot...).Overall, very pleased with the shelter, and the Amazon service for delivery.

We bought this after putting up a 20x10ft pop up gazebo. Well the gazebo was up for about half an hour, then with a slight gust of wind, the metal frame buckled...such a waste of money.....so I read the reviews about his one and....it was so amazing, that we ordered another one. We had 25 mile an hour winds...it didn't even flicker. It was completely waterproof and although we have bought sides for protection, it's so big you are completely sheltered from the elements. We put the 2 of them side by side on our lawn and filled it with lights and bunting, it looked amazing, I cannot praise this item enough. My husband has now asked me to the slightly smaller one for our patio.I also bought the other pegs with the green ends and I think that made a lot of difference. One piece of advice....throw the instructions away. Set up the middle cross piece and click in each side, then attaché the feet, they slide in easily. Once the frame is together, just slide your canvas over it and tie down as instructed, should take no longer than 20 mins tops, taking it down took 8 minutes. You"ll never by a gazebo again.

The Coleman event shelter is superb, easy to erect and resists wind and rain, although the centre vent does let in a few drops in quite heavy rain We bought it for a barbeque birthday party and set it up on the morning of the party in less than 20 minutes. It started to rain and we moved food and drinks into the shelter, served 32 people a 4 course meal - some sat outside under 3 metere umbrellas. However it took all the guests in a queue dry and happy - would recommend this product - used the sidewall to protect against the prevailing wind, fitted securely in less than a minute. Stood up for 4 days until it had stopped raining and dried out. Even fits back into the bag provided.The sidewall is a must to ensure total protection from sun, rain and wind

Used two of these at a playday - one for an outside performance space for an acoustic group and another for a baby and children's activities space. Was really nice having shade and a defined area without sides on the shelter - have bought sides but not used them yet. There is a definite art to putting the shelter up in a square - I was shown how to use the long tape that comes with it to space out two sides, then take the tape from the middle pole across to the opposing side to mark out where the final leg should go. There were instructions in the bag, but they hadn't made sense until I was shown how to do it by someone using a shelter as a pottery stall at an arts event.Would recommend the shelter for a wide variety of uses.

The Coleman event tent is ideal for providing shelter for parties and outdoor exhibitions. It would be even more useful if Amazon had despatched the goods they took my order for. The saying 'if something sounds too good to be true it probably is' certainly seems to apply to Amazon. They decided not to supply the event tent door at the price advertised and took quite a time (about 2 weeks) to tell me and being 'faceless' it is difficult to hold someone to account. The moral of the story is ' If you don't care if the item is not delivered then think about buying it off Amazon - otherwise go and find a reputable , local retailler'.

The side panels were attached to the erected Event Shelter and fitted well, as you would expect. However, the conditions had become windy and we noticed that the side panels tended to lift and allow gusts into the shelter. We (Our Classic Vehicle Club) felt that provision for metal skewer type pegs would have been an advantage using either eyelets or reinforced tape loops.With that one observation, we felt that the side panels were good quality and good value for money, serving their intended purpose very well.

I bought 2 of these. They were green rather than the silver shelter itself. Although there was a warning to this effect I was surprised they could not match to original. However the side walls are secured by sturdy plastic clips that are easy to use. However the side walls are a little skimpy at ground level and the wind catches the bottom edge because there is no way of securing it to the ground. At the end of the season I will probably add loops so that the bottom edges can be secured to the ground.

Just used this at the weekend for a football tournament - 20 children & parents used this as a shelter between matches. Just used one side wall as slight breeze. Big enough to accommodate our group using picnic blankets (didn't get ground sheet tho this might be useful if ground wet). Easy to erect and disassemble. More stable than square shaped gazebo - would be happy to use in fairly windy conditions with guy ropes. Good value - would recommend.

The shelter is fantastic, it is huge but feels really cosy when underneath it. It is very easy to errect taking 2 people about 10 mins. I particularly like the design it is more modern than a regular gazeebo, the only thing letting it down is the manufactures recommendation that you take it down after a few days apart from this I would recommend this shelter to anyone wanting to enjoy their back garden in the summer.

This something that you will never regret buying. A absolute brilliant piece of kit. Probably one of the best and well made shelters. It goes up well and would recommend buying the biggest one you can get and the accessories, such as sides and doors.I use it a lot in the summer and this unit can with stand 20mph winds, believe me I live in North Devon.

I bought two just in case we were caught out with the rain.They clip onto the frame very easily. I have not yet had an opportunity to test these out, but I feel sure that on a wet and breezy day this would improve the conditions within the shelter.We felt that it was a 'must have' just in case the weather changed at the last minute.

These are easy to fit and are great to protect from the elements. However two minor problems firstly the clips watch your fingers as can catch you and gives a hard nip secondly they need hoops as with the door to anchor to ground as they can flap in wind and a bit more security as they are easy to gain access underneath.

Bought the Event shelter and 3 side walls as a meeting place on rallies - unfortunately one of the walls had some faulty stitching near one of the clips BUT I logged a complaint and it was replaced with 72 hours so good sturdy product with stacks of room ( we had 17 people seated in there !!) and excellent back up

We have the 15ft version of the Coleman Event Shelter. We purchased two plain sidewalls and two with door/window. This gives us plenty of choice3 to suit the weather conditions. Really pleased with the Event Shelter. far more stable than gazebos we have oewned previously. Very roomy and airy.
