That's a question a US Navy SEAL never wants to face. A SEAL is a professional, I'm just a Boy Scout at heart.This compass is finally one that actually works. Durable enough to be on my everyday watch, bought one to put on every watch I own and wear and bought spares in case discontinued or hard to find, price is very reasonable.The real value is peace of mind, you can go anywhere with confidence knowing you can know where you are going, reliably.It does draw attention to my watch, but I dont care:Better to have it and not need it, instead of needing it and not having it.

I have only used the compass once so far for a half day navigation exercise but it was in sub zero temperatures on snow shoes through the woods. It works pretty well for what it is and for the price. I would never try to use it as a primary navigation tool but as a backup device and for quickly checking confirming the general direction it actually works pretty well. I wouldn't pay much for this wrist compass. It has a filmsy and horribly cheap wrist band and it is not designed for longevity or hard use but for what it is and under $10 it serves a purpose. 4 stars.

A lot more expensive than buying one from China on eBay (but I read they are more often than not demagnetized by the time they arrive), but had this a few months now and it's good. On my wrist every day (I removed the Velcro and attached it to my G-Shock) and it's still points to North (I check it off my phone and a large compass). It may be ever so slightly out, but it will still take you in the right direction. I figure this is more down to the size than a magnetization issue.

The very small, simple compass works and comes as described. The Velcro strap is practical. Overall, however, the product does not look very valuable, which should not really surprise considering the price.

The compass is quick to respond & free moving so giving you confidence in its direction unlike a lot of other button compasses that can be a little slow and sticky in giving there direction. A good buy.

A great little piece of kit - although the N is not as prominent as on other brands. The Velcro wristband means it can be worn separate to watch/altimeter, so the polarity shouldn't be compromised.

Not the cheapest nor the most expensive BUT this compass is definately the very best of its kind ive owned, no bubbles and perfect to see rough direction.

Simple to read, and comfortable on the wrist. Probably wouldn't go diving with it on, but for everyday ramblingit does the job perfectly, at a good price

The compass fits the bracelet of my altimeter watch. It works and I hope it stays that way (which you can not know before with these little devices).
