The best thing about this wrap is how easy it is to apply. I actually used one set to wrap a chin up bar and another to do a handlebar. The wrap is reasonably stretchy (so it curves around corners easily) and has a tacky central strip down the backside. The strip isn't 'sticky' per say, but is extremely grippy and holds in place as you wrap. I much prefer this to an adhesive strip as it allows you to very easily re-position or tighten the wrap if you make a slight mistake. The supplied adhesive tape used to bind the ends of the wrap is a *little* short for my liking. In addition to using the provided strip I used a fair amount of black electrical tape to finish the job.The finished wrap isrelatively thin and doesn't add to much bulk to the original bar but it strikes the right balance by providing just the right amount of cushioning. Finally, after some heavy duty use none of the wraps have moved or come undone or show signs of wear. This is one wrap I'd definitely recommended.

Great looking tape once you wrap it around your bars successfully. This was my second time wrapping my own bars. I think this time I'll be far more successful. The "splash" cork underneath the perforated top layer lends to a subtle hint of color on your bars that just pops when you pair it with a colorful bike.Pair this with the Planet Cycling bar gel for a comfy ride. I only have one complaint: on each end of the tape, the perforation stops. I think you're supposed to cut off this solid end of the tape and use it as the strip you wrap around the underside of your brifters. There's plenty of tape to get the job done, but including some pre-cut "brifter liners" would be a huge help to those of us who aren't bike mechanics.

It's a caleido tape. It's Cinelli. There's not much to actually say about the handlebar tape since it looks amazing, wraps evenly and easily, and it has the appropriate amount of feel for a Cinelli cork tape. It looks amazing on my bike (black and grey color way) and I feels fantastic. The finishing tape isn't great (I have yet to find a brand that includes any that are actually worth anything) and peels off easily in the heat, but tape itself is fantastic.Great enough to help dull the pain of my divorce and keep me on my bike.Minus one star for the garbage finishing tape though. Be sure to have electrical tape handy.

It is the right thickness for me, not to thin, not too thick. They wrap well. The adhesive on the back of the tape is not strong but it does hold the tape in place. I would suggest that you don't use the end tape that the product comes up. But this is true with all the tapes that I have used. Electrical tape (1") works well. Start the tape on the underside of the handlebars and wrap the electrical tape at least 3 times around stretching it tightly and then twice more wrapping loosely. This will prevent wrinkles while not allowing the electrical tape to creep back at the end.

I really like the feel and vibration isolation of this tape. I've always had trouble with tape sliding once installed. I tried Liquid Nails under tape, that's worked just for couple weeks. I guess I should pull more while applying? Anyway my last attempt was to wrap the bars with double sided tape first, then the cork tape. I first used 3M removable tape, that also wasn't a solution. I then used 3M permanent double side tape. That is working great over the last month or so.

I found it a little hard to install, but that's because I'm new to all of this bike-mechanics stuff. It feels amazing, you really feel the improvement from a stock leather-like bar tape, mostly on the vibration field.Update: Last friday, the tape loosen up to the point I needed to reinstall it. Glad I did! Now, with a little bit more experience, I managed to install it properly and now looks and feels amazing, I'm not getting any other bar tape for my bike anymore.

literally, this is the bar tape you get because you need bar tape. It's not amazing, but it's priced well. It has an Italian name so you feel like a bike racer for a hot second even though you're putting this on your decades-old panasonic that you're certain you'll ride a lot more this season, it just needs bar tape, right? Anyway, fun range of colors, sticks reasonably well, takes dings and tears without totally ripping. Solid bar tape!

This tape is only minimally thicker than the standard cork tape but provides noticeable comfort improvements. It's soft enough to provide cushioning though not fat enough to create an awkwardly thick bar. Additionally the tacky but non-stick surface is about a million times better than the tape which is an absolute nightmare to get off and provides for easy re wrapping. Highly recommended compared to the standard cork

Super high quality bar tape. This version has great grip and didn’t slip during install. Keep in mind that this is 3mm thick so it has a more cushioned feel than the 2mm tape. While for some people this is a non starter, I commute on bumpy rides so this really helps reduce vibrations and discomfort. The two- toned matte/gloss look is unique and didn’t match my other bike but looks awesome on the bike pictured.

Very tough bar tape, less chance of ripping when you install it. Very long too, no worries about wrapping a tight pattern and running out of tape. I've used quite a few models to tape my track bikes I ride everyday in San Francisco. I needed a durable and consistent performing product and I found this one a few years back. For the money this is the best, coming from an ex-SF messenger who rides everyday.

...whilst it is cycle handlebar tape, the foam outer handle on my petrol mower had fallen apart just leaving metal to hold. Bought the tape, followed the instructions and now have a comfortable mower to push again. Approx 12 mows and about 18 hours mowing later and tape still looks like new and hasn't moved.I assume it works just as well on bikes, but it has worked a treat on my petrol mower.

I change my bar tape frequently to give the bike a new look. Having tried most brands / styles I can say this is probably the best balance of comfort, durability, looks and ease of installation. The gel adhesive lets you rewrap it as many times as you like (within reason) to get it just right. It's also reasonably light, for those gram counters out there. I measured 49g installed.

Cinelli Cork Gel is simply the best of two worlds: the enduring nature of cork-like materials combined with a gel-like quality feel of the tape. Even though it is a synthetic material, this tape is top quality. The thickness of the tape helps to reduce pressure on the ulnar nerve. I really don't see a need to look any further since Cinelli's Cork Gel is pure perfection.

I have tried many different tapes over the years and not really liked any of them too much, and then I found this stuff and love it. I have it on the five bikes I ride now. It wraps well and I just like the feel of it.Unfortunately this is only my opinion and everyone likes different bar tapes for different reasons so all of them are pretty much a try and see thing.

I really like this bar tape. It is very comfortable and seems to be wearing well too. My only issue is that it seems to require a fair amount of tension to stay in place. I had to redo the tape on each side after a week or two of riding. Probably my own fault, but you worry about putting too much tension on cork tape and tearing it.
