This is definitely a straight fit trouser and therefore comes up looser on the thighs and legs, it is not a slim fit. The size of this style is on the smallish size so if you are between sizes I would certainly suggest to size up. The material is beautiful, super soft and very classy and I assume it would wash and wear very well. Unfortunately for me I had to return them as they were too tight and I wanted more of a slim fitting style of jeans. They could be dressed up or down and I could imagine getting many uses from them as they are very well made.
