I bought this to use on a weekend trip on my road bike. My bike doesn't have a rack (nor did I want one) and I didn't want to take a rucksack as that tires you out more and gives you sweaty back. This bag worked really well and I was very pleased.I got a pair of canvas shoes, some clothes to wear off the bike for the evening, a couple of innertubes, tire levers, small lock, basic tolietries, few snacks all in the bag relatively easily. It rained constantly for 5 hours on the first day but all my stuff was bone dry so I can vouch for the waterproofness of the drybag.When you get out the saddle, the bag dose swing from side to side a bit but I didn't actually feel it too much and so it didn't really effect the handling.

I recently used a borrowed outpost bag that looks a bit different from the one listed here. I managed to pack the following:Two inner tubesTyre leversPuncture repair kitGear and brake inner cablesSpoke keyElectrical adhesive tapeBase layerLightweight running shoesShortsPolo shirtSpare bib shortsBasic toiletriesPhone and Garmin leads and plugsI also slipped in a cafe lock between the holster and dry bag as well as using an old toe strap to fasten a folding Gatorskin tyre to one of the handy loops at the back of the Outpost bag.I appreciated doing without the weight of my rack and rack bag as well as doing without the slightly off putting bar bag - especially when out of the saddle on steep hill climbs - that I’ve used in the past.

Bought this in preparation for cycling Lands End to John O'Groats. Couldn't be happier with it, it's been used in all weather, and kept everything dry perfectly.Easy to attach, and adjust, I'd recommend tightening the straps after riding 10km or so to make sure if anything specific shifted with road buzz it still stays tight.Daisy chains on the back of the holster are good for attaching lights or strapping extra small bits of kit, such as a travel mug.Fit my sleeping pad, tent and majority of my clothes so good size.Wore the paint away on the back of my aluminium seat post a littlw, but I stuck on some off cuts of bar tape between the two and that solved the problem

...a really good seat pack, which has enabled me to cycle tour with my mountain bike, as well as 'bike-pack' on single-track. However, those with 'XS' or unusual bike dimensions might need to make a few adjustments. I have an XS Whyte MTB and the pack did not fit well under the saddle due to the bike's small proportions. However, with the use of an extra strap I adjusted the seat pack to work with the bike; take note if you use a small bike as set-up may not be 100% straightforward.... Saying that, this pack now serves me well!

Rode from Bristol to Weymouth and used this bag. Managed to fit a pair of trainers, sorts t shirt, toiletries and other bits and bobs in. Didn't even know it was on the bike even when climbing out of the saddle.Highly recommend as you can fit as much in it as you can in a pannier bag.
