Blackburn outpost medium fit almost perfectly inside my giant defy advanced 52 (small) triangle, with some space down at the bottom corner. Before I installed the bag I got some 3m clear bra film and wrapped my tubes up so the straps wont rub and destroy the paint. I put the film at every contact point the bag touches on the frame. For those looking to find a way to get rid of a backpack style hydration system while riding your bicycle Blackburn outpost + platypus hoser fits the bill. The 2 liter bladder fits in the upper part pre extended just fine with room in the bottom extended part for roadside tools, tube, 2x co2 cartridges, co2 inflator, multitool barely takes up 1/3 of the bottom space. This still leaves space on the left side zipper and right side mesh slip pockets for other items. With this bag I can carry 2liter bladder full, tube, 2x co2 cart, co2 inflator, multi tool, click stand (portable kickstand), garage opener, wallet, phone, vape mod, and still have empty space equivalaent to an extra large underseat saddle bag like the amazon basics one.The playtpus hoser 2liter was perfect as the small opening and longer hose compared to my high sierra big lip was making it difficult to fill up 2liters and stuff inside the bag. Hoser fits barely but fits without causing the bag to get too wide. no rub issues with my legs, it gave me plenty of clearance. The bad - the bag has a wire or hose outlet inside so you can route it outside and keep all the zippers closed. The only problem is the hole is barely wide enough for a bladder hose making it a pain to route unless you use a bladder with quick disconnect. also it makes the hose do a uturn in a small area which can pinch softer hoses. Since I dont ride this bike in the rain I just run the hose outside through the zipper by keeping it open about 1inch. No issues with the zipper opening up in its own. I just wrapped duct tape on the hose touching the zipper to keep it from rubbing and weakening it. With this setup i can ride on the hoods and dip down a bit to get water without hassle. Also I put an ID badge retractible chain on my stem to hold on to the tube near the bite vavle and keep the hose away from my legs.

I've only just installed this on my Specialized Crosstrail (XL frame), but the Large size is great, and fits the frame very well when opened all the way.The bag is of a higher quality than I expected, as are the zippers. Zippers seem weatherproofed/rubber-seamed. Nice long side access pocket on the left, large compartment opening on the right. Right side also has small stretchy outer stash pockets, might fit some small snacks. Inner compartment has a Velcro divider flap to loosely section/divide items top/bottom.I have a 3L water bladder, my bike lock, pump, and plenty of room for some other items like a battery pack, lights, etc. if needed. I primarily bought this to get the backpack (and water bladder)off my back, and it does the trick. See my photo showing the top-down view — no issues with the bag being too wide while riding, even with all that stuff crammed in there. The opening to allow cables or a drinking tube to exit the bag is nice, but it's angled in such a way (facing towards the rear) that the tube has to wind back and forth to exit. It works, but opening facing forward would work better I think. A very small complaint. I needed to buy an extension for my water bladder hose so it reached to a comfortable length to drink from while riding.Plenty of attachment loops on the bag, to use with reposition-able Velcro loops to attach to your frame as needed. Worked great for me.I had been unimpressed with any of the other reasonably-priced, non-custom frame bags available. I even looked into a custom frame bag. But for the price I paid for this, I am very happy with the bag and will definitely consider this Blackburn product line for future bag purchases if it holds up over time as I put it into actual use.

At first I was looking for a hard-shell frame bags, so that it doesn't look "soggy" when empty. I found a few, but they all turned out to be too small, I barely could fit my chain lock in there. I gave up and decided to try this bag. For me it ticks all the boxes - decent size, holds the shape very well (eventhough it's not a completely hard-shell) and I was also able to hook the portable Schwinn pump under it (which I couldn't do with hard-shell bags I've tried)! It also comes with a separator in the main compartment, which "velcroes" to the sidewalls at any location. I removed it almost immediately - I think it's an afterthought, as it prevents the bag to be fully opened - you have to always undo one of the sides, otherwise this separtor just pulls the walls together and you have very small opening. It does not seem to affect the sturdiness anyhow, so not a big deal.It is worth mentioning that this bag is exact copy of Roswheel Attack frame bag, except that Roswheel sells for $20 less. The reason why I decided to spend extra is purely because of style - I don't want blue expandable compartment on my black frame. If you don't care - consider Roswheel as a viable and cheaper alternative.

I've had this bag for a little over a year now. It fits my 2015 Specialized FatBoy great. I have left it in the frame during numerous 100+ mile trips at 70+ mph on top of my car and have seen zero wind damage or frayed stiches. Recently I even used it for an impromptu ice chest, I put our lunch in it with a freezer pack and it worked great on our 5 hour ride in 90 degree weather. A word of caution, I did remove it from the frame on my last trip down to Oregon, there was a warning of higher than normal winds along the Columbia River and the bag can act as a sail with side winds which adds unnecessary strain to the bike racks. Would I buy it again, YES. But realistically,I don't foresee needing to replace it any time soon.

I got very lucky, The bag fit perfect. Sometimes when mail ordering, You're taking a gamble purchasing items that need to be measured. The bag handles a lot of stuff. I can only get the medium size due to my small frame bike. Very surprised how much stuff it handles. My first ride was a down pour for about 40 minutes. On the ride back to the car while pouring, I thought about my expensive camera sitting in water inside the bag. However, It was dried as a bone. Not one drop of water got in. I tested it by accident & I can tell you that its waterproof. Great bag...

Very high quality bag. Seems very rugged, so not surprised that it has a lifetime warranty. Just very impressed with the quality. I find the Velcro straps to be nice and thick and it really holds the bag well. I could fit a fat bike tube in here, allen keys, tire lever, and a water bladder in there just fine with the bag fully extended. Then there is a smaller pocket on the other side for something else, like wallet, keys, tire pump, or whatever you want. Plenty of space and love the bag. Always impressed by amazon's quick shipping as well.

I ran into this bag after searching for a frame bag that I would be happy with, I am amazed with the quality of the bag. I read a lot of the reviews and they spoke highly of the bag, so what the heck I ordered it. The bag construction is exceptional meaning that the stiching, the zipper and the material is of a product such as a TUMI bag. I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for a frame bag. The specs posted for this bag are correct so don't order the Large if the Medium is a closer fit.

I've been lucky in that with both of these that I have (the Med and Large), they fit my frames perfectly. Just as good as if it were a custom made bag. But aside from the fit, these are just solid and handy bags. Not the lightest, not the biggest, not the most feature rich, and certainly not "the best", but they are 100% solid and reliable, and super handy. I use mine on multi day/wee bike tours, all day rides, and even just running around town. Can't go wrong with these frame bags.

This bag works perfectly on my 58cm Specialized Roubaix. I knew in advance that I would have to remove one of the bottle mounts(rear), and to go to a SidePull mount on the down tube. A hint that may help someone in a smaller frame::move the cage down, only using one mounting bolt in the top hole. By the way, this bag will probably NOT work on a suspension bike, or at least mine. But overall this is a great bag. I understand that Blackburn is redesigning it and increasing the price

Really like this frame bag, it fits perfectly on my pugs.Perect for my upcoming trip. With tons of space than other frame bags i've gotten used to, also unzips near the bottom to accommodate larger frames.I can't speak much about it's waterproofness since i've yet to be caught in the rain with it on.I've also got rid of that long strap that's attached to the back :s and fit my own velcro on it, it's solid.Own a few Blackburn items this is my favorite purchase so far.

I'm not a cross-country bikepacker but for day long rides this frame bag is more than enough. The largest size fits my 62 cm gravel bike very nicely. (Might also fit a 60 seamlessly as well.) Room for a windbreaker and even an extra filled water bottle. My two bottle cages could still hold a bottle although it was difficult to reposition them mid ride with the cramped quarters. Not a problem unless you are in a race. No issue with movement or leg rub. Great product.

Overall, worked great on a mountain frame for a 4-day bike trip. Didn't shift or unclip / unvelcro. One strap near the gears did get caught in the chainring, however. Do be certain if using the pack fully extended that the excess of lower strap is secure. Only other minor issue is that the side pocket - which is great for a map - isn't wide enough for most standard fold maps, meaning you have to potentially refold a map to make it fit and be quickly accessible.

Everything about this bag is awesome! I've tried a another brand that was twice the price (which I wont mention) and this bag tops it. Probably should have gone Blackburn for my other bags but the frame bag was my last purchase. Dont make the same mistake as I did. Top quality at half the price! Zippers and stitches are tough and without issues. Would definitely buy this again yet I have a feeling I'll have this bag forever.

Immediately impressed with the quality of this frame bag. Exceeded my expectations. This is not an inexpensive bag yet represents a real value for the money. I congratulate myself on this purchase decision. Thanks to the manufacturer on a quality product at a reasonable price. I assume this is a six star product but I am reserving the last star for after I have owned it for 6 months or more.

This bag looks really sleek and I love the pouches on the side for quick access of things like a phone or keys. The expandable volume option is great for when you want to pack minimally or load it up. And the fact that you can move the velcro loops to wherever you need them is great. Once fitted it's very sturdy with no swaying and I had plenty of room for my thighs to ride without rubbing.
