I want to praise this light’s utility for more than just running. This light evenly illuminates the area near and in front of you. So it’s great for doing handy-person type work at night — which for me often includes using hand tools, digging, fixing things immediately in front of me, and/or working in dark spaces/room. I find this light preferable for most of my tasks, over and above other lamps I’ve tried, the main function of which usually is serve as a spot light (including My wife’s spot 350). Those lights cast their beam further but tend not to as brightly & evenly illuminate what is near. This enables me to see well enough while working, and is small and lightweight enough,

Great headlamp for running. Stays in place, lightweight. The weight distribution between the battery pack in the back and lamp in the front is good. I got this one to replace the previous model that I used for six years. Be sure to remove the tab from the battery pack before first use, otherwise it only works when plugged in to the USB charger.

Before use, be sure to open up the battery case and pull the little clear plastic tab off. If not, it wont turn on or charge.This is my second black diamond sprinter lamp. the first one lasted years before it finally kicked the bucket.

Don't forget to pull the tab inside the battery compartment when you get it. It won't charge or turn on if you don't.
