► BLACK DIAMOND 'Raven' ice ax (90cm) ◄ • Finally, I managed to find a 90cm ice ax to replace my old ice ax, a CHARLET MOSER (80cm) which is 30 years old. • Unfortunately, in Europe, sellers do not know how to advise cane axes. Suddenly, there are only 75cm maximum, which is much too small as soon as you measure more than 1.80m. • I am very attached to the use of the ice ax on slopes of +/- 45 ° in grass or stones. Excellent piolet with unique design of part of black diamond, the shovel in the hand is one of the most comfortable that has been for its amplitude, the beak has a bit of edge, so you only have to be careful in that aspect, Edges of the blade. Neither very heavy nor very light, is a medium term in terms of crossing piolets.

Great ice axe. Even though it is on the heavier side for ice axes, it really felt solid in my hands compared to using other light weight axes. If I were to buy it again, I would size up to the 60cm because in slushier snow it sunk all the way down to the pick/adze.

For the price, it isn't bad. But, I kind of wish I bought the K2 Rescue Plus Ice Axe Shovel since it has multi use.So to fit my needs for a rescue shove, I've purchased the Grivel Steel Blade Shovel. It's light and does the same job I would've wanted with the K2.

Bought 90 cm. Not sold in Japan. Use it as a cane and as a weapon to protect yourself from bears. I think it's good to be easy to grasp. It will be useful when the bear spray is exhausted. I do not mind the weight.

Good self arresting bite. Lightweight. Adze is adequate for cutting steps in hard alpine ice. Overall very good for general mountaineering and for the cost.

I have used these ice axes in Colorado and they work great and are a great price. If you are an occasional mountaineer like myself, these are for you.!

So this is a great product for the price. It does the job and is light weight. No grip or straps though. Overall this was a good purchase.

Great mountaineering ax. I added some plumbers. Works great, and it's great to have an ax long enough for us tall mountaineers.

Haven't used any other ice axes from other brands, but this axe has served me well on every glacier climb I've been on.

Exactly what I was looking for. It will come in handy for snow shoeing this winter! A great tool for winter hikes.

This is really good ice axe for hiking and mountaineering. Very well made, sharp enough and comfortable to use.

Classic ice ax! For hiking, a very good choice! If you think every gram, I recommend choosing the Pro version!

Just as expected. Pretty strong and does note weigh to much. Have used as anchor and just as a walking stick.
