I need ultralightweight poles and these are a good alternative. They are not great however because they feel slightly clumsy. I prefer the feel of my heavier cork handle poles and carbon. However these seem sturdy so far and well made and I've used them over rocky terrain putting my weight on them. The length easily adjusts too for uneven terrain. So these are practical for petite adults and those who need very lightweight poles but are on a budget.

If you have wee ones, and you use trekking poles, get them a pair as well that are fitted for them. Both our 2 & 4 year old have a pair. Well built, sturdy and sized for their smaller hands, compacted they fit on the side of their packs.PS: For petite women, these poles will work well for you - at a lower price, weight and hand fit.

Product arrived as advised and updates on status was very helpful. Perfect for my grandson, aged six, and have the benefit of use with both hiking and skiing. Excellent quality and a great value as the poles can be adjusted as he grows. The will be useful for many years. And he loves them!

Use it for a tedious muddy hike and this trekking pole functioning well! Lightweight. This is a size for kid but serve well for me too (my height 160cm) Bought it for my 3 years old toddler cos the handle part is smaller for little hand.

Great poles for my 8 year old. Only wish Black Diamond made the tip covers like the adult versions have.

not 100 percent sure how strong the clips hold the height, but they are great for my sons 75 lbs.
