This is a good enough tool. It has a nice ergonomic handle; the steel is reasonably hard; and it comes with a spare pin. It's also a good price. That puts it way ahead of he cheapo garbage out there - of which there is a metric ton.I criticise the tool for having a bit too much slack in the threads, but that is not a show stopper, it just makes it slightly less easy to use than it would otherwise be.However, you have to understand one very important thing about how to use this tool (and indeed all chain extractors of this type). When you push out the pin from the chain *do not push it right out* - take it just to the point where you can get the link apart.

Good low cost chain tool worked well and as yet it hasnt fallen to bits , or bent. Nice smooth action . Used it 2 times so far albeit on low cost chains which may not be as strongly constructed as some can be. Better than the last one, a cheapo silver 'common' type design which the extractor pin bent,loosened and fell out. Comes with a spare replacebale centre pin. Easy to use - insert chain into rack , turn thumb screw stopper opposite to lever side which pushes and secures chain against rack which stops the chain link bending under pressure, align screw pin to chain pin and turn lever until pin drops into stopper. Size Approx 2&3/4" x 3&1/2"

Easy to use and excellent build quality. I used this to break my SRAM 870 chain and it worked like a charm without any hassle. Previously I had a cheap £5 chain breaker with a plastic turn handle, and it broke within 2 uses. This looks like it will last me for years. You get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

Well...i thought it was small and had no wire included but it works well and is made the same ,,well,,, , wire nicely stored in handle ,made in Holland and they have a lot of bikes,! my Chinese one from the German supermarket chain,, no pun ,, failed first time so yep very happy here.

I just got this little Chain Tool and I love it. Not only is it made from sturdy material but there is actually an extra "pin" in case you will break the installed one. It also has an adjustable bottom, so that you can adjust the thickness of the chain you need to "break"!

I bought this at the same time as a chain for a project bike as I don't have an 11 speed chain tool.I used it three times while I sized the chain up and it worked flawlessly. It's a lovely little tool.Highly recommended.

What a amazing tool I did see a few negative reviews but you get that with every product i have changed over 15 chains with this tool and haven't had any issues at all, very easy to use I absolutlt love it.

Good quality tool for a home bike mechanic. I was having difficulty splitting a single link BMX chain. The cheaper tool I had was not up to it and broke. This tool pushed the pins out with east.

Neat tool for chain-link removal and pin removal replacement with a handy loose chain end coupler when checking the chain length. still light enough to carry around in a mobile toolkit as well.

Spot on. Works perfectly. The bad reviews for this product are hokum. Don’t blame the tool for not knowing how to use it.

Excellent little tool - 4 stars instead of five as I've only used it a couple of times. So far works very well.

Only used once, but so far, so good. Small tool, but easy to use, and had no problems splitting my track chain.

Only used the once but pushed out the rivet in my old chain didn't even mark the pin and you get a spare

Used it to adjust 2 chains now, does the job, feels a tad bit plasticky but can't complain at this price

Smaller than I thought but works well. Just need for back up chain tool as I generally use quick links
