The tape is quite stretchy, so if you tension it as you wind, it really easily conforms to the bends in the bars and gives a thin edge because it's stretched. the "knurled" texture is superb and combined with the slightly rubbery feel gives very secure grip. The gel centre provides just the right cushioning without being too bulky and gives a tackiness as you apply without sticking so much you can't get it off again.

we used this for a running pram rather than on bike bars but its a great tape and easily applied. For the price its a really good option.
