These end-caps have solved a big problem for me! As I ride my bike, especially in hot weather, I tend to push the rubber handlebar grips outwards off the end of the bar. Ordinary push-fit plastic bungs aren't strong enough to hold the grips in place, and they just get pushed out by the grips. I tried gluing the bungs in with Evo-Stik, which was fine until I needed to remove one of the Grip-Shifts for servicing, and I had a hell of a job to remove the glued-in end cap! These are the perfect solution to my problem, as they hold fast when tightened, but can be easily removed for servicing by loosening the bolt.Luckily, they fitted perfectly in my own handlebars, but here are some measurements in case your bars are a different size... The diameter of the unexpanded part which slides into the end of the bar is 18mm. The length of the insert is 25mm (minus the expander). The width of the end cap is 25.5mm (wide enough to stop my grips sliding off). The Allen bolt is operated by a 3mm key.A few weeks on, and I've knocked a star off my rating- this is because through normal wear & tear, the ends of the caps have got slightly abraded. Unfortunately, this has revealed that the end caps are actually made of white plastic painted black, and this is showing through now- not a pretty sight! It wouldn't have been noticeable at all if they were made of solid black plastic.

These look good and are more secure than plastic push-in type end caps. However, they were an extremely tight fit and required the application of a file, some grease and a rubber mallet to fit while still being removable. Watch out if you have skinny bars, worth checking before you buy (mine was a Boardman Hybrid Team 2012 model).

I've had a couple of these and they are perfectly fine. They look good and they fit well. But the plastic doesn't look overly tough so just take it easy when you do them up! Mine have been fine.

If your handles used to slip, this is the ultimate solution. Once fitted - hard to remove. All I needed.

Screw-tight end caps are not easily found, so I am pleased with these.
