This is almost perfect. A brilliant idea that pops (quite literally, the first time I got smacked in the shoulder!) straight into position, a quick poke with the pegs (in their own handy Velcro safe pocket in the bag) and you have a shelter against the sun for your children complete with mesh doors to protect against bugs too. Both my 4 year old and 15 month old have enough room to play and sit in this, in fact they had their barbecue dinner in there this weekend under our apple trees which shows that there is enough room to spread out and I reckon another toddler/preschooler could easily fit in too.Only an under 2 could comfortably stand up though but it's not for running about in!Plus as discovered it is easy to wipe down with a damp cloth.A bonus point for the fact that I can fit inside it comfortably sitting cross legged (and I'm a plus size woman) so I can get inside and breastfeed in relative privacy if in a crowded park/beach or I can change a nappy/get the girls dressed/dried/changed inside without having to hold a towel up around them! The downside. It's a female dog to repack until you get the hang of it.Another point is it limits its own usefulness as In the instructions it warns there is no heat diffusion in the design meaning heat builds up over time rather than released so you must limit a child's time inside the tent to a maximum of 45 minutes, so no napping in the tent on the beach/at a picnic or even leaving them in it with toys whilst gardening without setting an alarm. Whilst this is ok for my 4 year old who will be running around, my 15 month old is still clingy and would certainly be happy to nap in there, plus all the warnings about limiting exposure to the sun, my 15 month old could spend longer in her pram or in a travel cot under her Snoozeshade than in this.We don't tend to be out in full sun a lot anyway, so this would be pitched in the shade but to know the heat builds up inside even in the shade is a disappointment.I do love this and can forgive a fiddly packing away but I think a little more focus on the materials for creating shelter and shade as much as UV protection may have taken this to a MUST HAVE, buy for every parent to be type present. As it stands it's a fab thing to have as a break from the sun, but if a better version that reduces the heat too comes out I'd go for the heat reducing one.

This is essentially a little pop-up tent for infants. The tent is all-in-one, so there’s no need to slot together poles and fabric. The tent is carried in a circular bag, something like a bicycle wheel bag but much less robust. To erect the tent, pull it from the bag and let it go. It will spring up instantly into the finished tent. When I say instant, I mean instant! The tent can be secured to the ground by using four pegs provided in a pocket in the bag. That’s all there is to it.The tent is a dome type design, with a simple two-flap entrance on one side, complete with mosquito net. The tent is big enough for an adult to squeeze into, so a couple of toddlers will have no trouble. It makes an excellent shelter for small children, and for storing toys, when playing outdoors. It’s great on a garden lawn or on a sandy beach. It’s not quite so great on hard surfaces, such as concrete and pebbles unless you put a blanket or cushions inside to sit on, and of course you can’t peg it down on a hard surface. My only complaint about it is how on earth you get it back into the bag. The trick is to grab the base and pull the sides up together to make a soft of bag, and then twist them so the rods make loops that then lie flat. It’s impossible to describe in words, and the pictures in the instructions leave a lot to be desired. I went online in hopes of finding a video of the procedure, but found none. You might think that unfolding it slowly, you’d see how it folds up again, but it bursts out like a mad thing so fast you can’t see it or control it. Once you’ve figured it out, it’s easy to pack, but if you don’t succeed, you be trying to cram an erected tent into the car! It’s an excellent gismo for days out or for just playing in the garden, and the grandchildren had great fur with it. But Aargh! If only the folding instructions were better!

This is incredibly easy to set up and it does immediately pop up and into shape. The carry bag has a small inside pocket which contains the four blue pegs and these are just popped through the loops on the corners to hold the tent down. The tent like any pop-up tent we have ever used is a nightmare to try to pack away the first couple of times you use it but it does get easier and other than following the instructions for the very first part of the folding process I find it easier to just not think too much and try to fold it myself which surprisingly works.I have measured the tent and it measures 90cm deep by 98cm wide by 90cm high. The carry bag measures 58cm across not including the handles. Both of my little ones fit easily inside the tent together and so it is perfect for little stints outside in the garden or for taking on a picnic etc and obviously the fact that it has UV protection is the main feature for the tent but I would still advise to put suitable suncream on you child too.The tent is great and I really like the design and gender neutral colours but the reason that I haven't give it the full five stars (other than it being a nightmare at first to try to re-pack away as all pop-up tents are the same) is the fly net at the front gapes a little at the top. The net has two velcro tabs to keep it closed but I think it really needed three to make it close better and so I will be buying and sewing a tab at the top of ours which ideally I would like to not have to do. There are two sets of ties to hold back the net when not in use and a ventilation net window at the back.I have bought and used a lot of Babymoov products over the years and this is another great item of theirs. A really good sized UV tent and very easy to set up but the net did need three velcro tabs I think.

The 'Babymoov Anti UV Tent Tropical' is a pop-up ventilated tent designed to block uv from babies and small children. It comes in a handy round carry case, and pops out very easily (the reverse process is not so easy, but I shall get to that!). It is lightweight to carry to where you wish to use it, and comes with little tent pegs to secure it in place, although these would not hold it in a stronger wind. The tent is roomy - I am five feet five and can sit comfortably inside it, and the children enjoyed playing in it. Unfortunately although it blocks harmful uv rays, the tent doesn't block heat, and actually seems to concentrate it somewhat, so it is necessary to limit the amount of time that young children spend in it.It would have been more useful if it had kept the heat out too. Also, while the tent pops up very readily, getting it to collapse down again in a way which fits inside the case is very challenging until you get the knack (the instructions aren't overly illuminating on this process).Useful for blocking uv and makes a good play tent/den, but just a shame that it doesn't reduce heat also.

We used this yesterday for my 6 month year olds first trip to the beach. I really like the design and colours. Love it has a vent and mosquito net. My little one was very content in it and didn't get burnt and I felt the vent added a real bonus to let air circulate. You have to face it the right was for the sun not to enter like with most tents. Baba had enough room to lie on his stomach. It also shaded my picnic blanket so baba could sit out of it with me. I took babes to the sea to watch my eldest child and found it very handy to hide my handbag in. My babes has severe reflux disease and it got sicked in many a time as well as dribble and it was easy to wipe down.It opened lovely and self assembled but haha I have no idea how to get it back in the carrying bag,it comes with instructions but i still couldnt do it after about ten tries ? after a long day, I didn't care how I got it home so I folded it enough to be able to carry it easily enough without being in the carrying bag and will try again to master the art of folding it. Would definitely reccomend!

The tent protects the little ones from UV rays and if zipped up protects against the intrusion of gnats and mites in hot weather via a mesh material at the front and back of the unit. This ensures the space remains breathable inside. The colour is a light blue, but pretty gender neutral. You can fit two little ones in here and the tent doesn't get blown away if you use the pegs provided, or ensure you secure the loops to something weighted in windy weather.Upon opening it pops open and pretty much assembles itself to the point you're unsure how something "that" shape will go back into the carrying bag it was originally squeezed into. I feel a few video tutorials will need to be watched here.UV protection is great, obviously not including the mesh sections that will allow the sun and UV rays through. A great buy for the family or even as a baby shower gift as this isn't something new parents will immediately be thinking to get.

Keeping your lo safe in the sun is essential and there are more and more products being designed to help us do that. This offering from Babymoov us just one of many but it is rather good. It us very easy to put up as it just pops up. All you need to do is secure the supports into ready made pockets and you're done. It is big enough for 2-3 children (depending on their age and size) to shelter out of the sun's harmful rays but is does build up heat over time - hence the 1 star deduction as there isn't any real ventilation. It is also a bit of a nightmare to pack up again and get back in its bag! I would advise lots of practice at home before going anywhere with it so you get the knack before potentially embarrassing yourself in public. All in all a great idea,a good size, well made and good quality - just beware ventilation and packing up!

First things first - the instructions are woeful. They have been translated poorly and still make no sense. There is a Babymoov video on YouTube showing how to collapse and fold up the tent - it is terrible but I found a different video from a "real" parent/user and it is fantastic. Makes sense, easy to follow. The tent itself is unisex and much bigger than I was expecting it to be. My 9 year old and my 6 year old fit in it comfortably with room to spare. The carry bag is very useful and I initially missed the little pocket with the pegs in - fantastic idea.I have a small soft carry cot that fits inside and this will be a great use for visiting relatives with pets - keeping the cats away from baby.(obviously not leaving baby unattended but able to have a cuppa beside the tent).Definitely well worth the money.

Small and lightweight when folded in a handy carry bag measuring around 53cm diameter, this is a good baby and toddler protector for the park, garden or beach.Bonus is the very high UV protection which some other sun tents don't offer so high if at all. Given this is see through with a little window too means parents won't have to clamber to the front to peer in to see what's happening.Only issue is learning the trick to putting thing up and down as it involves a little bit of contortion and bending in the right way otherwise left wondering how on earth it got to that bag size before...Overall a worthy buy for the holiday, just as shame it's probably just a little too big for the suitcase if travelling to truly warm climes.

Bought to take on hols to Caribbean. Lightweight and Pops up easily enough but everyone is right about how difficult it is to pack away again! After several YouTube videos and a marital dispute we concluded the best advice was simply to ignore all instructions and try to do it instinctively. It hasn't gone back to the original shape, but close enough to get it back in the carrier. It is quite big so wouldnt fit in a regular suitcase. It's a good size when up and does shade baby- we managed to get the activity mat in it so she was happy lying there. But we ended up not using it much on our holiday as preferred staying out of sun altogether.Hopefully it will get more use on the garden and uk summer.

With all this abnormal sun we’re having recently I thought prudent to find a solution for the little one.He loves it in there, allows him to be outside with us, enjoying the breeze and fresh air but doesn’t require the constant worry of sunburn.Instructions for folding aren’t great so you just have to fumble your way to success. Not really offputting though.Really perfect with the insect net for our up and coming holiday to Mexico.

Such a great product - perfect for our holiday and was a life saver. Kept baby out of the sun and plenty of space inside to allow for toys and I could also sit in there with him to keep him occupied at times or feed etc. A bit of a pain to fold down sometimes even when you think you've finally got the hang of it haha! The bottom is not padded at all so need to use towels or play mat if going on hard floor.

8.5.2018

Love it....we used it in the garden so far and put a blanket on the bottom to make it comfortable for our twins. With gew toys they are happy to spend time in it and we get some sunshine too. I agree with others that folding the tent back down is a struggle. Instructions included are useless and videos on you tube make is looks soooooo easy. We manage to fold it back but not in the original shape.

Bought this for my new little one on these nice sunny days. The tent itself is lovely and easy to just pop up and it is good enough quality for its use but where I have a hard time is folding it back up. I've had several other people try folding it as well with no success so it is being stored tucked in against the wall instead of in its bag..

Bought for a holiday - worth the money kept our baby protected from the sun. Has pegs so we were able to plug into the sand on the beach. Made it easy to pitch up anywhere. Found it hard to fold initially, but found a video on YouTube and from then on it was plain sailing. Will continue to use back at home in the garden.
