Purchased these to update to a set of Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes. I had some very old Magura Julies that required a lot of maintenance so I decided to go mechanical plus I really liked the on brake adjustability of the BB7 discs. Very much like the fact that these are ambidirectional L/R use so they can be used on either side. The lever action is what you would expect from a mechanical brake handle and the ergonomics works for me because the brake handles are small and don't get in the way. I ride MTN bikes and wear gloves so that is important for me so I don't get caught up in the space between handle and lever. Mechanism was intuitive and the installation was also simple and quick.

Shipping was fast and the product wasn't damaged. When I first opened the package, I panicked because I thought the brake lever was too small for my mountain bike. It actually fits pretty well.I'm also not really experienced in bike maintenance, but the brake lever was pretty easy to install with the right tools.It's been almost 2 months since I've installed it, and I haven't had any problems with it so far.

Added to the Mountain bike handle bars. Good solid breaking levers. Make sure you replace you cabling when you add these so you get clean smooth operations. I found our local bike shop had best price for smaller items like bike tubes, cables, and the small wire seal at the end of the cable so the wire didn't fray.

I was looking for a left handed brake lever for a fixie conversion. Majority of the single levers on the market are for right-handed people, lucky for me this one was designed to go both ways. The price and the quality are right on the mark. I will be purchasing this lever on my next fixie build.

I recently bought a 2004 GT Timberline off the local classifieds. It had one Avid, and one OEM brake lever. I thought the quality and looks of the Avid was superior to the OEM equipment, so I bought a matching Avid. Nothing special, but better than what came on a $350 (msrp) bike.

I was actually looking for another name brand lever to match the rest of the brakes on my son's (kink) bmx ...but its in back order.I was just going to buy this to hold him over. But the quality seems better than I had expected and the colors match. Worth it.

Will it survive the next time my son pushes over my bike IDK but boy was it cheaper than the promax levers that came on my Fuji. Both of which have not survived the little man. I fear not much will.Install was so easy I think my wife could have done it.

I dumped my cheapy mountain bike and snapped the handle off my rear brake. Replaced it with this and, while this item was cheap, I think it may be better built than the ones that came on my bike. No issues, worked with my existing setup. No complaints.

I have these brake levers on my Dahon Speed 8 folding bike. I accidentally broke one. Instead of searching the bike shops I checked Amazon. Sure enough Amazon had them and with Amazon Prime it was delivered to my doorstep in two days. Too easy !

Straight swap for a broken lever , only criticism is that the one sent wasn't exactly like the photo of ttthe one I'd ordered , therefore is now slightly diffetent to the other brake lever , small detail I know and the actual lever works fine

Worked well, but I like my levers to be bent out aggressively. Bent too far with a wrench, and it snapped. No ones fault but my own. That said, it was really cheap and I will buy another one when my stock lever craps out.

WELL MADE! a SRAM product. well known for quality products. sturdy aluminum product not that cheap pot metal stuff. well finished and fits most standard bike handle bars. very pleased with these, Will buy again..

Meant to buy the amazon Two Avid FR-5 Brake levers but accidentally chose this one...so I had to but another one! Doh.Anyways, its you're typical brake lever for cheap. It works well for a replacement.

Works great! Easy to install. Getting the old broken brake handle off was a pain because getting off the grip wasn't possible until I stuck a screwdriver up in it and sprayed WD40 in to get it off.

I like having my back breaks on the left and this makes it possible for a good price. I ride BMX and this is a good solid lever it has good leverage and curves nicely.
