We don't save this toy just for bath time; it's just as popular in the sink or the paddling pool. The boat is chunky and well-made (good quality plastic, if that makes sense) and the design means it's easy to clean. The wheel doubles up as a lifebelt and the fishing rods are masts for the boat. The yellow hatch is big enough to store either the lifeboat or the fish and the hull of the boat will easily store the fishing rods and whatever loose bits aren't in the hatch on deck. We rescue the fisherman when he falls into the water and we play the fishing game, sometimes without cheating! What is refreshing about this toy is that we haven't found any design problems that lead to frustration and a loss of interest. The strings on the rods are the right length, there are plenty of fish (9, I think) but not too many that boredom sets in. The blue cab tilts slightly so the wheel can be removed and replaced easily. Catching the fish is challenging, but not impossible, and the game is good for counting and colour sorting.I have been disappointed with bath toys in the past (bulky, expensive, limited ways to play with them) but this has been one of our best purchases. The retro primary colours are fab and even appeal to my very girly daughter who couldn't wait to get in the bath when she saw this toy. A super present for a child 3+.

Love this boat. We've had a variety of bath toys, and it always seems to be the simple ones that go the distance and are more than a "one minute wonder". Don't get me wrong, they loved the robo fish - until the tail came off and water got in so it stopped working (plus, what is there to do other than watch it? maybe that's why the tail came off...), and we've had dolls for the bath - hair got too tangly. Anyway, this boat is quite simple, but excellently designed. Not only is it a great toy for pretend play - my 5 yr old son enjoys pretending he's a sea monster sinking the boat so the man jumps off and needs to be rescued by the life ring - but both him and his 3 yr old sister enjoy playingfishing the fish out of the bath water with the rods (fab there are 2 - great for avoiding sibling fights!) and dropping them into the boat's hold. It's made of sturdy, good quality plastic too. For anyone considering it as a present, it arrived in a lovely "posh-looking", quality box too. Would definitely buy again.

This is a lovely versatile little bath toy with so many ways to play. The construction is nice and durable and the bright colours really appealing. My two children (4 and 2) are able to share it quite nicely - they're not yet up to the idea of the fishing game but love rescuing the fisherman with his lifebelt. The base of the boat comes apart quite easily - I'm not sure whether this is supposed to happen but it makes it good for scooping up water, which never seems to lose its appeal.Easy to keep clean too as everything comes apart - a real plus compared to those squirty bath toys! This was quite expensive compared to some bath toys but the quality and (what I hope will be)long-term appeal definitely make it worthwhile.

I bought this after watching my son (4) play with it at nursery. He dislikes going in the bath but the morning the boat arrived he wanted in the bath to play with it. No more trying to coax him in the bath and its a fun challenge for my older children too (8 & 6) and mummy! We have competitions to see who can catch the most fish which makes bathtime pass with no fuss. Would highly recommend, its the only boat I found that you actually have to hook the fish which is a bit more challenging than the other boats which use magnetic fish and rods which are probably better suited to babies/toddlers.

Simple, but classic. Not very detailed, but my two love it. (One just turned 1 and the other is nearly 4.) We picked this one because unlike other boats, this one had TWO fishing rods and more fish to catch, hence less squabbling. That said, the holes in the fish are small and they are tricky to catch on the hooks, even for me. The 4-y-o can just about manage it sometimes, the baby doesn't stand a chance, but she still likes to play with it because her sister is. (Naturally)The plastic heavy grade and feels very durable. If none of the bits get lost, it will last for years.

I bought this for my 4 year old as he still loves toys n the bath, but beyond squeezy squirters...He actually plays with this and has to really concentrate on fishing the fish out - it is tricky for adults so even harder for kids! He can do it but has to really concentrate - which is good as he is impatient at everything! He and his 5 and a half year old sister love playing make believe games about the fishing boat so over all a very good bath toy. I would definitely recommend!

Really like this, we have managed to move away from using the squirters to hit the ceiling and play some more imaginative games. The fish hide nicely in our bubbly bath, it great that there are two fishing rods, my son has also decided that its a pirate ship so he makes the driver have lots of adventures.I was worried it might be a bit babyish but he thinks its great. I also think it'll wash well (maybe in the dishwasher) to avoid the mildew problem associated with bath toys.

This toy is as described, well made, sturdy and floats very well. It has proven very popular with my 2 year old daughter: she loves catching the fish (although at the moment this involves grabbing the fish and hooking it on to the line out of the water!). I can see this boat still being fun in a year's time as she learns to 'fish' properly and move the boat by creating waves, etc. Excellent bath toy overall!

My grand daughter loves this little boat. She makes up all sorts of stories and plays with it in the bath and on dry land as well. The fish inside the hold are a great idea as she spends ages trying to catch the fish with the rods. Great little toy and very worth the money. Strongly recommended.

I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday and it as been a huge hit with both her and my 4 year old. The toy is well made and durable and has provided a lot of bath time entertainment, definitely a good buy and I have just bought another as a present for a friends little boy.

My three year old son loves to play with this in the bath. However its very difficult to catch any of the fish. Even mummy and daddy struggle. This doesn't appear to have put him off though and he still enjoys playing with the fishing rods and fish in his own way.

Really great toy, enjoyed by both our 3 1/2 year old (the intended owner) and also his 6 1/2 year old sister! Good quality, so worth the money. The boat properly floats and the hooks 'sink' enough so that the fish can be hooked in the water.

I haven't actually seen this toy. I sent it to my 2 year old granddaughter and the report back is from my son who told me it is a great favourite. It is played with everyday. It is colourful and offers great entertainment value.

I bought this boat based on previous reviews and everyone in the house happy with this product. Comes apart easily when sharing with 2 kids in a bath as loads of pieces to entertain. Very good value and durable.

It simple and very absorbing toy for my little ones. I can recommend it to everyone who is looking for something simple but not silly. I bought it last year and my baby still plays with it.
