Really handy torch this that everybody should have about the house/garage/shed. It is as bright as you'll ever need & stays on your head through normal use. It is quite heavy though so not suitable for night joggers/runners, It eats batterys as well so make sure you have some rechargeables.EDITI've come back to say that this torch is actually really good on batterys, It was my mistake before as I use a few sets of chargeable batterys & must have put a set in that were not fully charged. Doh!!!I've since been back & bought 2 more of these so that I can keep one in my shed & have a spare just in case.Must have item for me now & gets the full 5 stars.EDIT x 2Back for another one of these as All my others have broken in one way or tuther over time so they don't last long if you're anything like me. They are so handy though I just have to have at least 1 around teh house & they are cheap so I'll just try to be more gentle this time & see whether it's me or the torch that's the issue Lol

This delivers a very bright light, even at the lowest setting, It has four settings, lighting 6, 14 then all 32 LEDs, and finally flashing the 32 LEDs. The switch cycles round these settings. The body seems very solid. The back unclips to get the batteries in. The clips seem quite robust. I had a problem getting the batteries in - they were very tight, but went in with some persuasion.A good head band, with a top strap as well as the round the head strap, holds the light firmly. The only issue is the mechanism to tilt the light vertically doesn't seem very robust, and is loose at the highest position, allowing the head to sag, so it won't point straight forwards.I'm going to stick a velcro pad on the back so I can lock it at the top setting when needed. For the price, a great buy.

I bought this to replace a smaller type with less LEDs. It is quite large but very comfortable when strapped to the skull. Temping though it is to use all lights, the ability to use 1/4 and half power is invaluable. At full pelt this is like a headlight! This is certainly everything I expected and more. With this kind of power there are all kinds of additional uses for this including photography and video lighting; it really is that bright. I think I'm going to order another one or two. At this price you should never be far from one of these. Keep one in the car and a few around the house for emergency lighting.AA batteries are much higher capacity than AAA so a fresh set should last a while.

I think this is a good quality torch with very wide beam, however the mechanism for keeping the torch at the correct angle is not fit for purpose. My solution is: drill two 3mm holes in rear of torch (top left corner and top right corner). Using a single rubber band or multiple connected rubber bands - push rubber band through one hole and out the other hole. Connect the ends of the rubber band to the piece of plastic which contacts the forehead (push down the elastic headband to expose the gap). If maximum brightness / range is required (eg for cycling, emergency or security). A 300 lm cree led torch is I think vastly preferable, albeit with much shorter battery life.

I bought one of these at TK Max several years ago and as my work requires me to go into lofts it has never let me down.I had never seen it on sale elsewhere but I tracked it down to Amazon so I have just received another two that I ordered. However, I seem to have the reverse problem of your main reviewer. Both of the torches, and one in particular, are an absolute nightmare to fit the batteries into. One of them has two of its batteries in at a slight angle as they won't go in straight. The torch works OK but I was only just able to get the cover for the battery compartment back on and could have broken the clamps in the process. So, only 4 stars this time.

Had disassembled my aerial in the attic (with loads of fibre insulation). Suffered the heat, lack of air and most of all my torch starting to function on and off. So had to leave the tidying up later when I have some reliable lighting. This head light is bright, and also leaves me hands free to reposition all the fibre insulation that I had to move the aerial cable. No instructions given but none required. Only need to tighten up a screw so that the lamp does not drop on the hinge. Fitting is great. Plasticky but this minimises the weight and it is very wearable. Inexpensive but robust enough. Good deal. Will repurchase.

I was looking for a headlight while boarding out our loft and possibly for night fishing. Most of the lights available were much lower light output than this and more expensive. The product arrived quickly and was soon put into use. The three light levels + flashing are easy to select and gave excellent illumination in a dark loft. The high setting should be good for uses outside as well. It is a bit heavy at first due to the extra LEDs and batteries but I soon forgot it was there. It once fell out of the loft onto the landing and survived without a mark, so seems robust as well. At the price I am very impressed.

Well after a couple of years of quite regular use and having to put an elastic band around it to stop it falling forward all the time and being banged around a lot it has finally given up the ghost. Don't get me wrong it was well worth what I paid for and the use I had from it although it was a bit awkward in having to keep pressing it to close it down. It would have been better with an on/off switch and a dial to set it at what level of light you want then just switch on/off. It was still good value although has now been taken over by the flood of the new thousands of lumens torches from china

Bought 2 of this model. First one was sent back for cutting out. As I loved the product, I persevered with the 2nd. The problem was battery movement. If you introduce a piece of sponge or cotton wool between batteries and cover, the light works beautifully. I do recommend the light and will buy it again if and when this one gives up the ghost. I own and have used five other different models, including the early £30 ones! So, I should know. Can't believe the price and quickness of dispatch.

A brilliant head torch. Larger than normal, but much much brighter. Invaluable particularly when doing close work, and also when walking around at night.I've had it a couple of years, but sadly the ratchet device that holds the strap on has broken, and there is no easy way of mending it. Really, structural plastic is not going to last too long, and it should be made of sturdier stuff. I can still use it as a hand torch though.Considering how much it cost though, I cannot complain.

I'm pleased with this headlamp overall as it means I can keep my hands free. The 3 stage light is very good, but the 3 position hinge isn't strong enough and doesn't stay in position once set. Is it necessary? The head straps could be slightly longer and, for baldies like me, maybe a chin strap would be better as the straps gradually slide up and off my head! It was great value and the battery life is good. I'd recommend it.

Superb headtorch. I ordered it as I was climbing Snowdon by night. it didn't necessarily need but I did use the more poweful Li batteries and it proved itself to be super bright, long lasting and pretty lighweight (for me anway). very nice design, just like all other LED headtorches. It had a variety of illuminations - including flashing so could be put to a variety of uses. Therefore it was good value for money.

Bought this head light for her goodself so that she could walking a night with a local walking group. She is absolutely delighted with it. Good light on the lowest setting with extremely good light on the highest. There is also an intermittent (flashing) setting on it also. I assume that this is for an indistress situation. So if you are looking for a very keenly priced, very bright light, then look no further.

i work in a big yard area and have to pick out loads of barrels for use in a factory , this time of year its very dark out there for most of the time and this light is very very good , nice and bright and a crisp light to work withand for the money i cannot fault it i have had a few of the smaller type of light and this is the best by a long shot

HFantastic light I have been so impressed by its brightness. It is larger than most head lights but in my view it isn’t particularly heavy.Surprisingly, I use it all the time around the house handy for looking into dark corners.I am going to buy another pair as they are reasonably priced and in my opinion worth the money.
