**UPDATE, 5 Stars, 07/08/2013**I thought I should update this as I've now had the bag for over a year, and it's still going very strong (albeit with reasonable wear and tear). I carry absolutely everything in it wherever I go, it's probably the most useful thing I've bought this decade, and I'm thrilled with it.It's probably worth clarifying (in accordance with other reviews) that this bag is not genuine Italian leather from prize bulls, hand-woven by the most discerning fashion designers in the history of the world, every stitch carefully inspected by a Swiss watch-maker. It's mass produced from cheap plastic leather and other cheap materials, that's why it costs £40.If you're expecting this to measure up to the £1849.99 briefcases you find on Bond Street, you'll be sorely disappointed.However, IT IS DURABLE, it is VERY PRACTICAL and IT WILL LAST.**ORIG. REVIEW, 4 Stars, 20/07/2012**Was bought to replace a berghaus rucksack as I needed something a bit smarter and business-like, so this bag had high standards of practicality and ruggedness to meet.The overall look and feel is quite rugged but at the same time sleek and smart (without being too poncy).There are (from front working towards the back:2 front pockets with a buckle each. The buckles are difficult to close when you fill the bag (bit of a design flaw) but it's quite easy to get the hang of how to do it quickly. They are quite secure so the bag won't fling open if you close them properly. The pockets can hold a fair bit, but are quite thin so difficult to get small items from the bottom.Next is a main pocket, big enough to fit documents, chargers etc. but also with the business card pockets, pen pockets and 'phone holder'. All not bad, not amazing but do the job.The next pocket is a similar size and has a padded insert that is only big enough for small (i.e. 13-15in) laptops / tablets. The bag overall is big enough for most laptops, but you'd need a separate sleeve to properly protect it (unless just a strip of leather is enough protection).Finally, there is the largest compartment, which I have managed to fit a change of clothes in, so really not bad at all. There is a zip compartment in here, and again on the back of the bag (useful for quick-access items like passport). Only complaint with the zip compartments is that they are too small for a human hand - so digging stuff out of them is painful and awkward.All in all, I'm quite happy with it. It's never going to match up with a proper hiking daysack in terms of durability and practicality, and there are one or two flaws, but it does the job, looks like it will do so for a long time, so I'm a happy businessman.

Have only ever used brief cases and was therefore looking for a slight change.This bag is absolutely awesome. It's classy and functional. It's gots lots and lots of pockets on the inside. I get my heavy Teacher's diary in there as well as my iPad. The latter is kept in a soft spongy pocket that is secured by Velcro. There are pockets for pens and for cheque books. Additionally, the handle of the bag feels good in the hand. It came with a shoulder strap but I don't use it.In summary then..... a truly excellent purchase. You will be really pleased with this product. I absolutely love it!!!!

I have just bought this briefcase and I just love it. There is kind of a "special" room for my MacBook Pro 13" and also for bigger computers. I can have my IPad and computer and some books at the same time, it is a very compact briefcase and I recommend to every one :)

Has lot of compartments to put documents, pens, stationery etc. but the locks are a bit pathetic, can open it easily without the keys.
