Any1 saying this reel is a waste of time isnt a fisherman and better off with sum string , its all down to the brake and the speed and distance ya can cast , 1st tighten the brake and cast out making sure ya stop the reel spinning as it hits the water , bring it in its self winding let a bit brake off and repeat , do this till you are casting your limit then leave the brake alone and the reel is set for you and dont let others cast it as they have a different set up and probably get ya a birds nest for ya trouble , someone experienced using a multiplier can set 1 up in a couple of casts while fishing and dont forget if ya have summit on ya line never reel it in with ya reel ,

1 of the best reels around for quality and price , I've had mine over 10 years now and apart from a bit paint scraped off from lying my rod down to take a fish off , its still in great condition with only a wipe down when putting it away after fishing ...It's cheap enough to buy as a 2nd reel to learn with while using a fixed spool and get the money you paid for it back if its looked after..

I've got 2 ABU Seven Multipliers which I use for boat and uptide fishing. They are ideal and I completely recommend them, I'm so pleased with them that I've ordered another two for my wife to replace her ageing Mitchell's. ABU engineering at it's best.

Good bit of kit this ideal for almost all types of boat angling I put 20lb braid on it got over400 yards on it and a 50lb leader can be used for beach casting as well with the 20lb braid on it 10/10 .

This is very nice reel to buy.. I just got it yesterday and it is very smooth winding and there is some different features..I recommend this reel.Good quality reel.Value of money.

I've used these reels for over twenty year, can't fault them ideal for rough & mixed ground.
