Back a couple of generations ago, my family had a tradition of a Sunday morning cooked breakfast prepared all together in a huge cast iron pan. The pan itself was indestructible and was in fact well into it's third decade before it showed signs of wear. Thanks to the Zyliss non stick grill pan, healthy cooked breakfasts are back!Upon using the Zyliss square pan, I have high hopes that the 10 year guarantee is a good endorsement of a quality and functional grill pan. It works with all types of hob (even solid fuel!!) and can also be slipped under the grill to complete a little browning about halfway remembering that it has a plastic handle.The pan is heavy (weighing similar to a 1kg bag of sugar)so anyone who prefers a lighter pan may struggle. Having said that, the pan heats up quickly and retains a lot of heat due to it's thickness. It's also square which can be interesting on a round hob, but for it's sheer brilliance I still give it 5 stars.In use, a quick spray of oil isn't needed but maybe used for taste. The fat from food itself is often enough to avoid sticking due to the non stick coating. It's also a very stylish design with white glitter effect on the black surface!This pan is also dishwasher safe - a major plus as many non stick pans don't last too well unless handwashed. Not only that but you can use metal serving spoons etc due to the multi layer solid rock-pearl components.Overall a real family essential in the kitchen. A true winner in it's technical field and a good price especially when the guarantee is factored in.;

What a great piece of Pan technology - looks good (although will not match any other pans you may have; unless they are also in this Zyliss range) - I'd go along with most other reviewers and agree that it's a pretty heavy pan - I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who has issues with dexterity or weight-bearing (arthritis or general loss of strength due to ageing ) It looks pretty 'Snazzy' with it's paint splatter effect (white on black) and the handle's very comfortable - at first glance I thought it wouldn't fit on any of the rings on our ceramic hob - Square Pan vs round rings - but the underside of the pan is in fact round! Phew!I almost used it without reading the instructions and started to heat up the pan - then I spotted the caution not to over heat? OK? I turned it down - but that's a pretty vague warning especially for a Pan?Anyway I didn't have anything I could test it with (bacon or sausage etc) except eggs - non-stick, no oil? So in went an egg - no oil - (I was expecting the worst) but the egg cooked fine - it wouldn't 'slide' around the pan - but it didn't stick either! I was very impressed - can't wait to try bacon or sausage! Again, as per instructions, I cleaned the pan with water and a little detergent and it appeared clean - but this was a 'mainly' white egg and later I spotted bits I'd missed - not because they'd stuck - more because I hadn't seen them because of the paint splatter effect (white on black) - but that's just a very minor niggle about a Majorly Great Pan!

How exactly do you test the validity of a 10 year non- stick warranty?You can't really. All I can tell you is at the moment the pan is really excellent. It's crazy light (When the box arrived I had no idea the pan was inside it was so light) So there's no chance of you getting an aching arm hoofing around something like Mauviel (Stainless steel and copper ... fantastic but you need arms like a gorilla)Weight aside the packaging says don't use oil or butter ... fair enough .. I dumped a load of chicken in it and sure enough ... initially I thought it was sticking but it didn't... through some sauce in there as well and that was fine. So the non-stick claim seems to be holding up ...will it in 10 years or even a year from now? Who knows. However at this price even if it lasts just a year that will still be a good performance. The other thing was it's dishwasher safe ... so we have a non-stick coating that stands up to a dishwasher as well? YES it really does. After using the pan half a dozen times for all sorts of things it still stands up really well to it's claims. Other than it being a little odd looking (lots of white pain splashes on it) it does seem to be doing really well. If I find something that sticks OR causes it to have issues I'll update this review ... but for now this is really good.

The 'Zyliss Cook Non-Stick Square Grill Pan, Aluminium, Black, 45.1 x 26.9 x 5.7 cm' is a square-shaped (but with circular area underneath, so suitable for use with induction hobs) grill/frying pan, with a lightly ridged frying surface to both drain oil away from the food and also to enable frying with minimal or even no oil. The pan is specially coated with a triple layer system which is exceptionally non-stick - even I haven't managed to make anything stick on it, which is worth calling the Vatican to report.... As befits its status as a premium quality pan, it is fairly hefty but not excessively so, although anyone frail may struggle with it.The pan washes brilliantly,and while it says it can go in a dishwasher I strongly suspect that it will have a longer lifespan if handwashed, which is less of a trauma than general pan-washing anyway as it is so non-stick. Excellent pan.

Zyliss is a reputable brand. I do have some of their kitchen equipment and have found them of great quality. This pan is no different. Well made - it oozes quality. Comes with a 10 year warranty which speaks volume. I like the fact that you do not require oil or butter to use this pan. It’s a great non stick pan and also very easy to clean. It isn’t light (which I would expect for a pan of this quality) but isn’t too heavy to handle. A little chunky but that isn’t an issue as far as I am concerned. Price wise, for what you are getting I think it is more than right considering how much you’d pay for a heavier cast iron pan. Definitely recommend this product.Note - you can definitely stick this in a dishwasher.Would take some space though. It is also suitable for all hobs.

I like this, it has griddle bottom and is higher quality pan than manyIt's a cool square shape and a good size, not small, it is for all hob types and can go in grill or oven to 180%.(awkward with handle length )It can have metal tools used with it but not sharp, it has warranty for 10 years but this is not for overheating or coating I think so like many warranties I see what it covers is not what's likely to happen...it's more for if it fell apart. It can go in dishwasher but it says better to handwash and it's says you don't need butter or oil. It seems higher quality than most fry pans.

For the price, this is a great buy. It’s a useful sized griddle pan, although big enough for the average person. I was sceptical about the “no oil” claim and, to some extent I was right. If you cook very slowly, eg onions, you can get away with no, or a very light spray of, oil. At one stage I thought I’d damaged the pan as I did burn something, however it washed straight out without any scrubbing - pretty impressive!It’s fairly heavy (not cast iron heavy, just heavy enough) and sits well on my induction hob.Good, non heat conducting handle.

We’ve already got three of these pans and were so impressed with them that when it was time to buy a griddle there was only one make to go for as far as we were concerned.They really are non-stick and SO easy to clean. They are so much more substantial than other (more expensive) pans we’ve had in the past.Apparently they are dishwasher safe, but I don’t chance it; hot water, fairy liquid and fingertips (wearing rubber gloves) are all that is needed.Please take my word for it; you’ll never find better non-stick pans.

This is a fantastic frying/grill pan. As the description suggests, you really can fry cook food such as bacon, sausages and other meats and vegetables with either no minimal or no oil. With the raised ridges, the oil drains away from fatty foods, such as sausage, so you end up with a healthier fried product. It’s easy to clean, works well with my ceramic hob and is big enough to fit plenty of food for a couple of people. It’s a terrific addition to my pan cupboard and something I now use to cook often.

This is a really impressive non-stick pan that lives up to its claims that you don't need oil to fry things (we've found that you can throw raw chicken into it and it does not stick in the slightest). The non-stick quality also means that it cleans very easily, cooking residue almost completely rinses off under the tap. The pan is nicely designed with a very flat underside for stability and effective spreading of heat with a comfortable handle.Highly recommended.

Amazing grill pan. Very attractive stone effect, highly effective non-stick surface. Surprisingly light for the size, with a very good, ergonomic handle.Been using for a month now, and cooks everything very effectively. Bacon, steaks, and surprisingly cooks eggs perfectly. You'd think the ridges would make it cook unevenly but they work perfectly.Also cleans very easily, and sits comfortable on the hob. Would recommend.

This is a high quality item, it really is non stick and hard wearing (this you can feel by the weight of it in your hand) I tested it on Salmon which is quite delicate but tricky to cook evenly. I'm happy to say it passed with flying colours. I particularly like the white flecks on the inside of the pan, don’t know why but I'm sure there's some technical reason for it.

What an excellent, well made, pan.The handle is very comfortable and while the pan is heavy, the handle gives a very positive feel.What I like best is that you can dry fry on it, ie you don't need oil or butter, however the flavour s better with the lightest of coatings.A quick wipe is all that is needed to clean this excellent, excellent pan.

This has become the pan I reach for most since buying it some weeks ago. It is the best quality pan I have ever used. The non stick is very good, I have even managed to cook delicate fish without it sticking or falling apart. I bought it primarily for cooking steak and it is perfect for that. It cleans very easily too. I highly recommend it.

This is perfect if you want a good quality non stick pan. It requires only a small amount of oil and cooks pretty fast. Made a keto cheese wrap the other day and it came out perfectly, did not stick to the pan at all. I have given the product 4 stars as I've only used it for a few weeks so not sure about the long term use of the product.
