Zyliss have been making kitchenware for 60 years and know exactly what they are doing and what the customer wants. This quality omelette pan seems fairly weighty (to me) due to the sturdy construction, but it is well balanced and so doesn't feel heavy when you are holding it. The handle is a nice shape too, and is soft touch--a pleasure to hold and it doesn't get hot.The pan coating comprises 3 layers : a primer, a ceramic reinforced layer and a sealing coat and the aluminium base is blasted to improve strength and performance. The pan heats up quickly and food cooks evenly on any type of hob and you can pop it into an oven under 180C.NOTHING sticks in these wonderful pans, even if you dry-fry.I prefer the taste of frying in oil but if you are calorie counting, you never need to use oil/butter and the pan is still guaranteed not to stick for 10 years! The guarantee is not voided by putting the pan in a dishwasher but as it is so easy to hand wash I'm sure it will keep its good looks longer with just a swish in mild detergent and that is what Zyliss recommend.Abrasive cleaners/powders/scourers are not advised as they will damage the coating and invalidate the guarantee. Surprisingly, you can safely use metal utensils when cooking in them--no need to use non-stick.

Ideal pan because it is light and comfortable to hold, cleans in a matter of seconds. No oil or butter required but I always like to coat my pans with a skim of oil to help protect the non stick surfaces. So far mine has been used for pancakes, cheese omelette and spag bol. Cooking was quick and easy due to the even heat right across the pan, nothing was hard to remove and better still no food smells were retained after use, I find that can happen with my Circulon pans. This size is very useful if you are cooking for a smaller family or as an extra pan to complement a larger one. I already own one with the same non stick coating and it is performing well despite regular use for the past year or so.Can be used safely inside the oven up to 180 degrees and can be used on all types of stove top.Topped with a ten year guarantee I think this is a great buy. If you have someone leaving home for university and don`t want to spend too much this is the ideal pan.

Aside from eggs and occasionally bacon, I fry very little nowadays.  This solid and well made 20cm pan is ideal for fried eggs and ommlettes.  You can fry a couple of eggs together or, if finished off under the grill, a 3-4 egg omlette.  Regarding the no oil needed claim in the promotional blurb, just use a bit of common sense.  If you're frying something like bacon, it will cook in its own fat.  When I tried frying an egg without oil, some of it understandably stuck to the bottom of the pan.  It's very easy to clean in warm soapy water and unlike any other non-stick pan I've used before, it has a slightly textured surface and you can use metal utensils with it.  Zyliss is an established brandand this pan has a 10 year guarantee (misuse condtions apply).  Recommended.

Just so you're all aware, I'm reviewing the 20cm version and I use gas hobs for cooking...It's got a sturdy flat base, and the handle is comfortable to use. The coating literally prevents anything sticking to it, so you can easily wash it by hand, quickly. You are able to put it in the dishwasher, although the instructions state hand-washing preferred. (It doesn't state that dishwashing has a negative effect on the surface coating, and nor does it state that this affects the 10-year warranty). The only issue with the this is it's size... 20cm will only cook you a couple of sausages or a few eggs... you might be able to cook a one-person stir fry if you're lucky, but I'd recommend buying a larger model.

Bought this after seeing recommendations from BBC Food, Good Housekeeping etc.It came in retail packaging, i.e. a plastic bag and a hanging card with washing and care instructions. Those instructions include a warning not to use metal scourers.Very good build quality, weighs about 630g which is solid for a small 20cm pan. Handle is wide and easy to grip. The non stick finish seems extremely tough and is rough textured, which is odd at first if you're used to smooth teflon type pans. But it works extremely well. As well as being very easy to clean, you can slide simply foods like fried eggs out of the pan when cooked, they really don't stick at all.Very good for the money.

Non-Stick, that actually is non stick, well so far anyway. But you can fry with very little oil and still nothing sticks. I haven't been brave enough to try it with no oil at all. Nice to use with a handle that doesn't get hot. Easy to clean because nothing sticks. It's worth noting that this pan cooks really well due to the excellent heat dispersion across the whole base, everything cooks much better with these pans. I have bought a second large one, I was so impressed with this one. You are not limited to using "non-stick safe" cooking utensils either, although at present I don't have any metal ones, so haven't tried this out.

For the price, this is a great buy. It’s a small pan, although big enough for the average person. There is no lid but you may have a suitable saucepan lid if you need one. I was sceptical about the “no oil” claim and, to some extent I was right. If you cook very slowly, eg onions, you can get away with no, or a very light spray of, oil. At one stage I thought I’d damaged the pan as I did burn something, however it washed straight out without any scrubbing - pretty impressive! It’s fairly heavy (not cast iron heavy, just heavy enough) and sits well on my induction hob.Good, non heat conducting handle.

I love this! It's just the right side to cook a big portion for one person, or smaller portions for two people. It's really easy to store and easy to take out and use when you need it -- it doesn't need oil and seems to cook things beautifully. I really love the size! It's unusual and seems somewhat non-standard -- my other frying pans are all larger -- but just right for me. It has fairly deep sides, which helps to prevent oil spatters. This frying pan works on induction hobs as well as normal gas/electric ones, in case you are wondering...

I love this small, sturdy pan. It is guaranteed for 10 years so should give good service for ages.It has a slightly rough finish which appears very hard, so not easy to scratch or chip. I have tried it with stir fries (perfect), fried eggs (did not stick at all), chicken curry (distributed the heat evenly) and am looking forward to lots more. It is an ideal size for the two of us as the sides are quite deep and I am very satisfied with it. It is fairly heavy but sits well on my gas burner as the base is very stable.

Easily the best frying pan I've ever used- comparably priced alternatives pale in comparison. This one is 100% genuinely non-stick, unlike so many others that claim to be, which is a godsend from a cooking perspective and a washing-up perspective. Zero residual food is left in the pan and it's goes in the dishwasher no probs. Construction is sound, there's no loose screws. The handle doesn't suffer from heat transfer. The shape is also perfect with just enough depth and a tall enough lip. It's perfect.

This is a small but heavy and altogether perfect non-stick frying pan. Literally nothing sticks to it - it's amazing. You can fry without using butter or oil! You need to be careful to not scratch the pan with cooking utensils or knives, but it is labelled as dishwasher safe (although I don't take the risk. It's very quick and easy to handwash anyway.)Great little pan and with a 10 year non-stick guarantee I'm looking forward to having it for many years to come!

This is a really nice weighted pan. Its not to heavy but its heavy enough to know that its made for the job! Smaller than expected but large enough for a couple of eggs to fry nicely together. It is indeed non stick, a little oil and nothing stuck at all and was easy to clean afterwards. I washed up by hand and it was easy peasy. I would definitely recommend this pan for anyone looking for a small reasonably priced and non stick frying pan.

Very impressed with this Zyliss Non-Stick Frying Pan. I have seen these pans and thought about investing in one, and now that I have, I may well get more in the range. It is versatile - being oven-proof up to 180 degrees, and its construction spreads heat evenly and efficiently. Great for eggs, omlettes, great for dry frying streaky bacon - an excellent frying pan. It's also dishwasher safe, too. All in all, an excellent product.

This is a small frying pan, probably not big enough for cooking 2 steaks at once, although 4 sausages fitted OK. Construction is very solid and it seems to behave properly, being very responsive to the heat beneath it. The non-stick coating feels rough to the touch but is very effective. I was able to fry an egg and lift it off so easily this morning that it was almost as if it had been poached. A pleasure to use.

An amazing frying pan - worth paying the extra for as it will last a lifetime and it is so easy to clean!ive cook sausages, bacon, fried eggs and had to use little or no oil and it never sticks or burns....a quick rinse in warm soapy water and it comes up like new!It is heavy and durable and it cooks evenly! i absolutely love it!
