Excellent high quality can opener, probably the best I have ever owned. If you haven't seen this style before it cuts through the side of the can, splitting the ridge around the top edge of the can in half. This has several advantages: You never get any metal shavings in the food, the method of cutting the ridge is very clean as the cutting mechanism never touches the food, and finally to makes the top of the can into a snug fitting lid for the can (very ,useful for storing half a can of tomato paste in the fridge for a day or two)
