My son and I have previously used these in his swimming lesson and he's enjoyed using them. I think they are best used with younger children who are starting to learn to swim. Although they are designed to help with breathing - the idea being that you swim towards them and try to blow/flip them over when you get close - they are also good for encouraging your child to reach out if you have them a little way in front. These are available in a pack of three or a pack of five. I wouldn't choose the pack of five as I think if you take five to a swimming pool you are bound to lose a couple. When my older daughter saw what was in the parcel she was not impressed and threw herself on the floor (dramatic much?)and said she needed something that sinks! not something that floats. (On that evidence I'd say they're best suited to beginners and younger children).I think the current price of 6.08 for three is good value. They are well made, colourful and fun to use in the pool. Though once your child has mastered the breathing technique they'll probably want to move on to other swim aids / toys.Overall - good.

Zoggs Seal Flips are an educational toy to encourage non-swimmers to breathe correctly in water. They are designed for use in swimming pools, and wouldn't work well in the sea. The general idea is to put the Seal Flip on the water surface and encourage the non-swimmer to blow which should cause the seal to flip over. This is a game better suited for young children as it is not such an exciting thing for more mature young people or adults. However, it does help to teach the correct breathing technique, and helps getting used to the face being in proximity with the water and so getting more confidence.Swimming teachers use them, but its the sort of toy that is fun in a teaching session but not so enjoyable when with family. However, we have have used them successfully with our children and you can create other games with them if you use your imagination.

Product arrived very promptly and in good time. Described as a swimming game I ordered it for my 8 year old grandaughter's birthday (together with seal dive sticks which she had requested). On arrival it was marked suitable from 3 months, being a toy which you blow from water level to make it flip over. I decided it was a bit juvenile for the 8 year old and gave it to the 7 month old sibling. She will spend a few minutes investigating it, then it will be put away until she is able to "blow". I don't know of any 3 month old children able to blow sufficiently strongly, indeed they can't usually manage to blow out the candle on their first birthday cake. Should be fun later on though.

A great water toy for all ages. My son age 3 has just started swimming lessions and had these at a lession. He had so much fun that I bought some and took them along the following week when all the family went. He can learn the colours and blow them along in the water which teaches him in a fun way to put his face in the water and see how far he can blow the seal with his blowing out of air.You can also throw them for him to swim to, and them bring back to you. Gaining confidence in the water as they swim off on there own or can include the whole family and swim as a race. Its also a fab baby toy for my 9 mouth old daughter to hold and bite when swimming with us.

I bought these for my 2 year old Son and my 8 year old nephew when they saw another child playing with something similar on the las day of our holiday in Wales during the April Bank holidays. The holiday site we were at had sold out but as we had another trip booked in June I decided to look online doe all the Zoggs toys. These were a great price compared to other sites. There were great... All the kids loved them... My nephew played with them, as did my 14 year old niece. Even my 2 year old Son had a turn in the toddler pool. Now we are home my son and my Husbands nephews (age 15 months and 3 yrs) play with tem in the paddling pool. They were a great buy!

These are OK and I understand the principal of using these as pool toys to help get used to managing breathing/taking in water when swimming and I think they;re fairly good for this - it's simple but effective, but the only issue is that the fun/interest is quite short lived really and only really extendable but having two youngsters doing this at the same time and racing them across the pool etc. None the less, there's not a lot to them really, though they;re fairly cheap so definitely worth investing in if you're teaching them to get more confident with safe and fear-free breathing control in the water, even if they lose interest after a while.

These are simply fantastic. I go swimming every week with my son who is now nearly two and have done everyweek since he was a couple months old. We have many other swimming toys and he enjoys them as much as he enjoys the water. These are a class above however. There was a swimming instructor in the pool last week and she gave my son a pair of these to play with and he went crazy for them! They are very light so they float, but since they are so light, if you don't get quite a perfect grip on it, it just flips around and floats away - so perfect for toddlers to work on their coordination.I honestly couldn't recommend them highly enough

Egg flips have been used as a teaching aid for a number of years. The concept of blowing these flips to make them change colour is so very simple and yet it never fails to keep children asking to have another go. The new "seal-flips" by zoggs have been loved even more by the children I teach purely because of a simple, but brilliant modification: the addition of a little face on either side, complete with goggled eyes that are also a different colour depending on which way up they are. A definite must have for any swimming teacher or parent hoping to encourage confidence in the water.

I bought these for my boy's 2nd birthday. He's now nearly 4 and still using them. Great for taking in the pool, he was putting his face in the water anyway but this gave me an excuse to keep him doing it. Now he stands on the side, throws them half way across the pool to jump in and swim after. Great for encouraging him to go further - and teaching him to throw safely! Loves having his own toys to play with as the older kids we go with have diving sticks which he hasn't quite got the hang of yet! Brilliant little toys, highly recommend them.

I firstly bought these for the bath as just little floating fun things but then used them in the pool with our 19 month granddaughter. She really was able to blow them and make them flip over to the other colourful fun side. They took her mind off being wary of her water armbands and she loved the fun of them flipping over and the claps she received when she did so. I definitely see the benefits of these simple little floating saucers and they add confidence to new and young swimmers for sure.

These toys are great fun to take to the swimming pool for my 6month old babyThey are light and float welleasy for my son to grab and he enjoyed watching them flip overwould probably entertain a toddlergreat for developing child's motor skills and also helps with breathing techniques when you get your child to blow them along and also helps build confidence in the waterpack contained 3 toysgreat quality, smooth with no rough edgesgreat valuewould recommend

My kids started using these in swimming lessons as they teach children to blow when their mouths are near the surface of the water. Apart from being a teaching aid they're also fun, so I ordered them for the kids to play with. The trick (for grown-ups to do it properly and not get embarrassed) is to blow from the side rather than from above. A good first stage water toy before children move on to the Zoggs Rescue Seals.

I bought these from my grandchildren who are just starting to swim and it encourages them to get into the swimming pool and concentrate on flipping these over rather than being scared of the water. It's a jolly good idea that works well and gives me as a very able swimmer and grandparent pleasure to see this work so well. A quick delivery and a good price I would recommend this to anybody

These are really cute toys especially for bath timeThey are same In both sides just different colours .Is fun playing with them as you rotate them and they just keep spinning itself thenThey are 3 piece for the price of £7I would say they are expensive as are small and just 3 they are almost £2 each and for that price you can find better

A good price for what they are, the toys float in the water and can be fliped over. The packaging was damaged, as the net arrived opened with the toys floating round the bottom of the parcel, however the product its self was in good condition. Over all worth the money and a good water confidence toy for younger children.
