It does what I wanted it to do, protect my camera from everyday wear and tear, dust, moisture, etc. I considered several different options, almost all being more to way more expensive than this. This has protected my D7000 with the 18-105mm lens, UV and Polarizing filter attached, no lens shade, on a 6 day, 60+ mile hike on the Continental Divide trail and two climbs and one attempted climb of 14'rs in Colorado, and other similar activities further north. For this type of activity the Zing cover seems like the best option. I can wear the strap over my shoulder, with the camera at my side so it doesn't block my view of where I am stepping, and, when needed, the cover comes off quickly. The Zing cover did its job more than once. It would not save my camera from a serious drop or a hard slam on a rock, but I don't expect anything I want to carry on long hikes to do that. This size could handle a lens about a 1/2" longer than mine. Not a perfect fit but the neoprene is a little stretchy which helps with the RRS L bracket and the wrist strap attached to my camera. The neoprene has material laminated to both sides, similar to the Nylon II used to make wet suits, and is ~1/4" thick. I reversed mine so the black side and the "Zing" tag is out, and that is the only difference when the cover is reversed. I like the cover and I will get another should it become necessary.UPDATE:Using the same cover for over three years now. Still using the same camera over my shoulder sometimes with a different lens. The weight is about 2.6 lbs. Still doing long distance, multi day hikes on the CDT and elsewhere, including foreign countries, climbing 14'ers, etc. The cover is always on the camera, and still looks like new. The only problem is if I don't take the time to push the camera into the cover far enough the velcro will not hold the flaps closed, but the cover stays on anyway. The small plastic clip to keep you from losing the cover I never use, but I have not modified the cover in any way. I still would not expect this to protect my camera from damage in the event of a hard hit, drop, or fall, but the camera/lens still looks like new without and nicks, dings, or scratches and is easily and quickly ready to go. Still the best choice I know of for what I do.

I bought this case for my Canon Rebel T2i (550D) 8 months ago, and would buy it again. It fits the body perfectly with extra room to spare in the lens area. It fits the kit 18-55 lens with a couple of inches to spare. I can also use this case with my zoom 55-250mm lens with still a little extra room (1-2 cm). I think that the extra space just creates more cushion for the lens, but if someone wanted a snugger fit in the lens area, they should consider buying a smaller size. I LOVE this case, and it is becoming my case of choice. I just pop my camera into the zing case and throw it into my regular tote bag and it's protected quite well.I am going to buy a zing lens case to hold my alternative lens & battery so I don't have to haul along my traditional bulky camera bag on long trips. It's quite easy to use once you get the hang of velcro-ing it shut around the base of the lens. Mine is reversible cobalt blue & black, but I just use the black side. Only downside I can think of is that sometimes the velcro will stick to a scarf I sometimes keep in my bag. Also it's not 100% waterproof...it will certainly protect against small amounts of rain & spills, but there are 2 "holes" where the strap goes through, so it wouldn't survive a submersion. But that's a different expectation altogether.

I was looking for a neoprene cover to put over the camera so that I can safely carry it in my regular day pack while out and about. I didn't want to be limited to physically short lenses, I am thrilled to find that the Zing Large Zoom cover works with the T3i/70-300mm combination. It is comfortably snug with the lens alone and tighter with the hood on backwards. I don't plan to carry it with the hood on backwards, but I tried it to see if it would work. The cover also works great with the T3i and the 18-135mm kit lens, with or without the hood on backwards. There is a little bit of empty space in front of the 18-135mm lens with no hood, but it's not enough to pucker up or look funny.I would use a cover with a shorter snout with lenses pysically shorter than the 18-135mm. The cover seems well made, with smooth seams and a stong velco closure on the flaps that go under the lens. So far I am very pleased. If I have any problems, I will update this review.

Before buying this cover I bought a zing cover for regular lenses. They fit perfectly around my Canon EOS450. I added this one simply because my smaller cover was perfect for the kit lens that came with it, but did not fit as soon as I was carrying my large lens (70-300mm DO IS USM) on the body. The lens cover travelled with me around the Galapagos and the differing climates of Ecuador, and also accompanied me on trips in Germany, Albania and other countries. It fits, is easy to handle, keeps the camera dry and is a nice protection. I use these covers because I do not like to carry around the standard bulky (although very protective) camera bags, but simply add the camera to my regular bag. However, if you're looking for something secure and a hardy protection, this is not it. If you are looking for something compact that keeps the fog out and keeps it from scratching, this is perfect.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift (off his Wishlist). Neither of us regrets the purchase.I'm bad with brand names and recall the type of SLR camera he has, but I know it is NOT a Canon. This cover fits his camera and lens well and has kept them protected no matter where they get left around the house or when we take them on hiking trips.I agree with the other reviewers that the design is NOT optimized for the resulting target user. I used to design similar sewn products and think that more effort should have gone into the design based on end use/users. But of course, more time = more money.I'll likely make some modifications for carrying outside of a pack and quicker access as my husband and I pin-point our grievances.

I was going for a backpacking trip and wanted to take along Canon 5D Mark II with 24-70L lens. Since weight is always an issue, I was looking for something very simple, small and light. Most bags that fit camera of this size assume you will be carrying other lenses, batteries, chargers, filters and therefore are way too big for backpacking. This one does the job just right. It is fairly light (~150g), covers the camera with the lens fully and provides enough protection when camera is together with other items in the backpack. It could be a little bit larger to fit 5D more easily, but it's OK. I can still squeeze it in, although it looks like it is designed for a slightly smaller camera body.

Used this to protect a canon 20d and tamron 17-35mm f2.8 zoom. Fits nice, even with the lens hood attached to the lens in the 'stored' position. I also have a std size zing case and I like how this case has velcro to secure the top cover. No need to pull the top over the lens, just fold the top over and connect velcro ends under the lens base. Not a big deal but I find it a little easier than the std case. In summary, the cover fits well for the combo stated above. In terms of durability, I've had my std size zing case for almost 6 yrs and its still in great condition (no loose seams) so I expect this to perform similarly.

Bought this for a week-long vacation to Ireland, where we didn't want to lug around the camera bag we already had. Worked great, really nice to have the camera protected whether it was thrown in a backpack or slung around the neck/shoulder. The only problem I had was the fit of it. The Canon XSi with the kit 18-55mm lens fit, but there was a bit of room at the end of the 'tube' of the lens cover. With the kit 55-250 it fit perfect. At the end of the trip, we were actually a little mad that we had purchased a separate camera bag (which we left at home) because this worked so well.

The quality of the material is great on this sleeve. I just wish it were a smidge bigger or longer in the lens part! It is a bit of a wrestling match to fit my camera and lens into this sleeve.I currently have my Canon 6D with a 24-70mm Lens inside the sleeve and it is VERY tight and hard to faster the velcro without a lot of coaxing. After some stretching and pulling it WILL fit! But that will ensure that my gear stays safe while I travel so it is hard to complain tooooo much about that. I just wish it were faster to get the camera in and out of the bag.

The Zing cover for my Nikon D5000 worked very well and proved durable for the four years I had the camera. Different size from this one, it fit the D5000 with 70-300mm telephoto, although it was a tight stretch. It gave the protection I wanted and held up. The Large Zoom fit so tightly on my Nikon D7200 with 24-70mm 2.8 lens that it was too much hassle to use, so I regrettably had to return it. If you have a 5xxx series Nikon without a fat bazooka lens, this should work fine for you. My last Zing cover was simple to use, fast to get on or off, and durable.

I've been looking for a soft-side, easy-to-transport case that would fit my monster(ish) lens, specifically for when I travel and don't want to bring my whole kit with me. This protects and pads my camera, doesn't add any bulk or weight to my carry on, and despite looking a bit like a camera jock strap, it is perfect. (Camera: Canon Rebel TSi6 with 18-135mm lens & hood)

I dont like to carry extra camera bags since most of the time I've got a purse anyway. This camera wet suit pads the camera nicely so I can discretely put it in another bag and no one knows I have a large camera with me. This is also good while traveling and the one piece is nice too. Perfectly fit my Canon Rebel T4i and 100mm macro lens.

Although described and labeled as "large" sized - for my cameras it was more like a small-medium fit. My Sony A65 mirrorless camera barely fit inside, and it was a struggle to get the Velcro strap around the lens. The neoprene is thick and protective. Overall a good bargain. I've added some photos of it around my Sony A65.

I have used this for years. While it is a little small when you put a small, fixed lens (e.g. 50mm) on camera, who really cares if there is extra at the end? you can fold it down. It fits a D90 and 18-200 Lens perfectly. I toss this in my regular, non camera bag, and don't think twice.

Great tight cover for taking your camera out for the day. Fantastic If you don't want to take a bunch of accessories & will be shoving in your handbag or wearing on your hip all day; stops bumps & scratches when hiking.I have a Canon 6d + 24-105mm w/ reversed hood = perfect!! ☺️
