I'm not as excited about this as some people seem on here. But I do like it.1st and best thing about this item is the value for money. As a bike accessory in general, it's okay.Build quality is necessarily minimal but decent enough. Being entirely made of plastic to keep the weight down. While the rubber strap is useful in that its long enough to allow you to fix the mirror to a multitude of places on your bike. It is far too stretchy and does not provide enough pressure to truly secure the mirror in place.Once I got the mirror in a reasonable viewing position, secured to my right barend, I found that it was quite easy to knock the mirror out of position.Forcing me to take care everytime I switched to using my bar ends. The strap is also too long. If you secure it to a thinner tube such as handlebars or barends you are left with a few inches of strap that hangs loosely. This can get in the way of things if you don't fix the mirror to your bike in just the right position. You may do as I did and decide that I was only going to clamp it to my handlebars or bar ends and cut off the length of strap that is uneccessary.Even after doing this I was still not fully satisfied with the fit. So I took the thing apart and mounted the mirror and rotating bezel to a regular reflector mount. So now I have the same mirror with all the same rotational freedom, same basic dimensions but with a rock solid mount. This was very easy to do. If anyone would like instructions on how to do this leave a comment or send me a message. It really was quite effective and does not require breaking anything so you can go back to the original mount at any time. This does mean tho that the mirror is now a permanent feature. But its fixed on pretty solid so you would have to break it to steal it making it useless.Trying the various suggested positions on the bike, crossbar, stem, fork leg, inner handlebar and outer handlebar, I found that the only place I could really get a decent enough view of the road behind, was when the mirror was mounted to the top of my right bar end.The mirror itself seemed smaller, once it arrived, than I thought it was going to be and the impression I got from the pics. But I don't think this is a too bad as I didn't want to upset the profile of my handlebars too much by using this.I did find it pretty fiddly at first trying to find the right angle to view the road behind, but once I got in position I was quite pleased with the view it provided. Even as small as it is, thanks to the convex mirror you get quite a decent view. With a little head tilting you can see even more.So in summary. On the upside, its's very cheap, it looks cool, its easy to fit/remove, its very light and fundementally works as a mirror just fine.On the downside, the clamp/strap is poorly conceived and does not clamp very effectively. Easy to knock out of position.Definite case of getting what you pay for. Does the job, not perfectly, but cheaply.Would recommend for those trying to trick out their bike on a budget.

This just got delivered this am as I was getting my bike ready to ride. I opened the package and thought oh no - it looked very small and ineffective. But I put it on the bike - onto the rt hand cowhorn on my hybrid - which was quick and simple to do as it has a strong rubber band to attach it, its not a tools job. Sat on my bike and adjusted it like I would my car door mirror, and off we went.It was great. I am elderlyish cyclist with touring ambitions and my local terrain is hills, moors and mostly single track roads. Annoyingly, every time a car comes up behind me (although it isn't very often) I have to stop and let them pass as there isn't room for both of us.But if it is windy like today I can't hear them very well, so I'm constantly having to looking over my shoulder which is irritating. This mirror saves me doing that so much and makes my rides more enjoyable. I also like the better feeling of knowing what's around me.Like your car door mirror is isn't the answer to all of your needs to be aware of what else is on the road - you have to look as well - but I find it a big help, especially as being that bit older I'm not as flexible turning round as I was. And of course if you are simultaneously managing several difficulties eg. this am someone on the left reversing a car out of their drive onto the road in front of me, who clearly hadn't seen me despite hi vis jacket and helmet while another car decides to overtake me on the right anyway - which I spotted in the mirror - it is a godsend.Get one and put it on. This one is neat and easy to put on and take off. Can't praise it enough.

Suspected this could be rubbish, so initially only bought the one, but was that pleased promptly ordered another for my other bike. Convex mirrored surface is slightly bigger than new (2010) iPod Nano, fixes to bike via stretch rubber band that is long enough to wrap round front stem, normal sized top and bottom tubes, front fork or bar ends (if you've got them). Mirror has 360 degree rotation and good tilt range, both reassuringly stiff so getting the correct angle is easy and more importantly once adjusted, it says there. Vibration appears non-existent.Mounted flush to frame, view is along top tube between your legs, so occasional tilting out of right leg helps get a fuller view but you soon get used to this so not a problem.Small and very discreet, but gives good warning of traffic coming up from behind, but (especially if frame mounted) obviously not a replacement for looking over your shoulder before moving out, but hey, even motorcyclists with full sized mirrors call this "the life saver".Oh, and it's not 2kg as stated in the product description (a small fraction of that), but you never thought it was, did you?

If you're thinking about buying your first bike mirror then just do it. Once you get into the habit of using it, riding will become so much safer. This mirror takes seconds to fit and adjustment is easy. I have one fitted on my road bike on the inside of my drop bars (right hand side of the bike) right at the end, just next to the bar plug (see photo). In this position it's discreet and out of harm's way. Also it seems to be at the right angle for riding on the hoods or the drops!I really like the design of this mirror. It's quite small but you really don't want something too big that'll get knocked or make your bike look stupid. It's lightweight, inexpensive and of good quality.I've had mine fitted to the bike for several years now and it has not deteriorated at all, despite riding all year round. Some other reviewers have commented on the mounting system being inadequate but I can tell you that if you strap it to soft bar tape (as I have) then it is going nowhere. It doesn't rattle out of position or anything. All my mates think I'm a goon for putting a mirror on my road bike but I don't care.

fitted it to a single cylinder motorcycle which inherently has a lot of vibration, but because of the rubber mount, plastic surround & plastic mirror making it very light, this dos not seem to vibrate at all.Yes its small but the convex shape of the mirror means you get a relatively wide view.I positioned it on the right side next to the throttle so as to give the best traffic view as possible & to be clear from getting my body in the way of the view.I didn't want a bar mounted mirror as I need to get my bike through my house's tight corridors & do not want to be dismounting this each time I go out. Yes the rubber attachment loop does Not look sturdy enough, but I'm going to be careful & only remove it when absolutely necessary. Yes it did move a couple of time while I was riding, but no big deal. I quite often tweak the mirror in the car depending if I'm slouching or sitting bolt-upright.This discreet mirror is just enough to keep a look out for The Man, and any encroaching drivers behind.

I have to say when I opened my package and saw how small this mirror is I was disappointed and thought there was no way it'd be any use whatsoever. Even when I fitted it on the bike in the garage it didn't seem anywhere near big enough BUT then I went out for the first ride and was truly amazed at how good this is!! The shape of the mirror and the convex curve mean that when it's adjusted corectly it give me a view of everything from the dangling strap of my rucksack and the full width of the carriageway behind. The securing strap is excellent and I notice very little vibration even on my rigid fork hybrid. I guess because it is so small and light,it doesn't seem to go out of alignment even when bumping down kerbs or hitting the odd pothole either.I've tried at least six types of different bike mirrors in my time and this is by far the best I've ever used. I love the way I can easily swap it between bikes in a few seconds too, or remove it if I have to leave my bike locked up in public.

Excellent little mirror. I knew it would be small so this wasn't a shock. But glass is convex so you have a wide field of view behind. Sits on the rhs bar end of my handle bars. Easily attached and then taken off when leaving bike so not stolen Does not suffer from any vibration and reflection image is always clear. Does not move around as can be attached securely. Have been using mine for one year now and 10k miles later it has saved my life so many times. I wouldn't want a larger one. Easy to adjust and stays in position. Also easy to switch to other side of bike if you so wished. Robust as I've dropped it so many times but it has yet to break (famous last words). This mirror does not owe me anything as it has more than paid for itself despite it's rather high price for what it is, but hey ho it has saved me soooo many times when I would have other wise been unaware of dangerous morons speeding up behind attempting to squeeze by and force me off the road. Love it.

This is the best thing I've ever bought.I'm a driver in London and I hate cyclists.... well, not all cyclists (as I am also one), but those cyclists who doddle about with their headphones in, with no helmet, undercutting traffic and weaving in front of lorries.I was terrified of becoming one of them so got my helmet, hi-vis, and got one of these. I have no idea how this isn't compulsory, especially since so many people seem to cut out their hearing when cycling. You obviously have to do your nervous check eveytime you do anything, but this is just that EXTRA bit of cover for knowing what's going on around you... the same reason motorbikes and cars have them! This is really discrete,it just loops on to anything - there's no tools needed. it's spins and flips for adjustment and works without vibrating all over the place. For under a tenner this is an essential. You are so fragile on a bike. Look after yourselves and just buy it.

Fantastic little mirror that doesn't look much but oh it's great... I had one on my bike before giving up cycling a few years back due to bad health and lack of storage facilities so I had no hesitation in buying it again when I started cycling again last week... It's adjustable but it's tight enough that it doesn't move (unless your hand accidentally hits it)... You get a clear view of what's behind you even though it looks so small and it doesn't shake like some other mirrors I researched... I have trouble with vertigo (though it's never bothered me when I'm cycling unless I have to turn my head) so turning to look behind me isn't a very safe option...I still turn if I need to but the mirror is so helpful that I don't need to turn as much as I used to... My only issue with it is the strap... Over time it can become loose but it's got enough stretch that you can tighten it to another another hole so it lasts a bit longer...

Having wasted so much money over the years on useless mirrors, I have now found this little gem of a mirror. One fault common to all the others was vibration. If the mirror itself did not get the shakes, the arm would, or the fixing. This one is perfect. It is like the rear view mirror in your car. Being so small, you may wonder if it shows anything, but the surface is ever so slightly convex, which gives you a perfect, undistorted view of what is behind. The fixing is so clever as well; it is so easy and convenient to mount it on the handle bar, the cross bar, the fork... I fixed mine on the handle bar, but it got in the way of the shifter, so put it on the cross bar. Again, you may think that that will only give you a view of your legs going up and down, but, I have a brilliant view of the road. All of the road, not just a sliver; really amazing product. Do not hesitate, buy it.

I wanted a mirror that would fit on the frame of the bike and the design of others/my wide frame prevented this - not so with this mirror. Very easy to fit with many places in which it will fit on any bike (see image from other reviewer). I tried it on the frame but I got in the way of a clear view. The handlebars was a good option for ease of adjustment, yet in the end the right front fork seems a good place for this little mirror and once set is a good intial viewpoint of the traffic coming up behind. It is however small and this needs to be considered in respect to how close the traffic maybe to you when viewing. As with other reviewers it is always safest to double check by looking over your shoulder before making a significant turn. There appears to be no vibration from the mirror, the biggest challenge is deciding where to fit it.

Having looked at SO MANY bicycle "wing mirrors", and having ordered a couple of absolute shockers (distorted mirror surfaces which gave a comical fairground type of reflection!), I ordered this mirror thinking that not much would be different. However, this little mirror (and it is little) - approximately 45mm x 35mm (WxH) - is absolutely fantastic! It is very easy to fit (rubber strap type fixing around the handlebar end). I fitted mine "upside down" as it interfered with the brake handle access. Perfect placement! I can see the whole road clearly behind me, and my leg doesn't appear in the field of vision when travelling. The fixing is secure and there is virtually no vibration whatsoever - even on rough ground. It can be fitted on either the right or left. For less than a tenner, this is a no-brainer. Definitely recommended.

Road cyclist for 60 years and cautious (I always was). Tried a multiplicity of bike mirrors down the years with very varied results. The best ones were, unfortunately, the heaviest, the most inelegant and the least durable. I'm starting to think that these might just overtake those old-fashioned but functional mirrors as my all-time favourites. Supremely easy to fit (4 seconds - really!), equally easy to remove when light-fingered rascals might be about whilst I'm in that Cyclists Cafe, easy to adjust on the move (sounds dangerous but often needed as circumstances change), good wide angle. Of course the images are small but cars, coaches and lorries aren't so the combination of approaching sound and approaching image are all that I need.I think I may be falling in love. Recommended.

This is an excellent piece of kit which I have been using for about a month and I never go out without it. I use mine on my road bike, mounted on the base of the right hand drop handlebar (I usually hold the brake mountings when riding so the mirror doesn't get in the way). The mirror does need occasional adjustment but that is easily done and I feel much safer with it than without it.The only shortcoming in my view is that cars etc. behind you are actually much closer than they appear to be through the mirror. Once you have seen them as tiny objects (apparently) in the distance, they are on you very quickly, hence the slight downgrade to the four star rating. Now that I am used to that fact however,I really like this product.

I bought this to take with me on my trip to Copenhagen so I'd have a rearview mirror for my rented bicycle. It worked okay, given that it's so small. The great thing is that the mirror's design allows you to try a variety of different options for positioning it. I found it difficult to find a set up that would allow me to see behind me. The smallness of the mirror made most of the settings such that my body blocked the view, or I could not see the area I needed to see. With lots of experimenting I did find a way to make this mirror work okay. For a temporary or alternate rearview mirror it is good. I forgot to take it off the bike when I dropped it off,so someone else is experiencing the joy of this mirror now.
