I have been playing golf for years now and have read nearly every instructional book out there. I have tried some gadgets, but have mostly stuck with the tried and true swing aids (alignment sticks, glove under the arm, etc.) I would never have spent the money on this device because it just feels like an infomercial type product. But when given the opportunity to try it for a review, I was all in and fully prepared to rip it apart for being another infomercial type rip-off. But... that's not what happened. I would actually pay full price for this system. Here's why.It is easy to use. I tried to pair it with my phone through the Bluetooth screen of my phone, rather than through the app.You open the app and it will ask you to connect to the sensor. But once I figured that out, the rest was easy. Just download the app, sign up with an email address, connect the sensor to your phone, then swing away. The Zepp system works. It actually improves your swing and therefore your game. I'm not going to say that it knocked 15 strokes off my scores because I haven't had it long enough to see those kinds of results. And honestly, I don't know that the information Zepp gives you automatically translates to way better scoring. What I can tell you is that now you have access to the information about your swing that you could only get by paying for a swing booth at the PGA store. Now you can take the swing booth to the range with you. Here is how it helps:Club Head Speed - the direct indicator of distance. You can now experiment with getting more speed. Whether you are losing speed from your hip turn, swing path, early release or something else, you will have to figure out. But as you experiment, you will see your speed change.Swing Path - This is the key to getting rid of the slice. If you have an outside plane, you are going to slice and pull. This helps you see the plane exactly on every swing and begin to feel what an inside path actually feels like. Have you ever been on the range, swung the perfect swing, watch the ball sail perfectly, then stand there going, "What did I just do?!" Now you will have the ability to answer that question.Hip Turn - If you put your phone in your left pocket, the system will measure your hip turn in the backswing and downswing. This can be compared to the pros and let you know where you are falling short. This was revolutionary for me. I thought I was turning, but it was mostly in my shoulders. I am now working on getting more hip turn in my swing without throwing everything else off.Tempo - This one also gave me plenty to work on. I am way too fast. I just thought this was like putting, everyone has their own style. But when I started trying to slow down my tempo, I noticed that my club head speed was going way up. This was probably due to me fully loading my hip turn. You see how all of this information begins to connect? Having it all right there after every swing is so awesome!!In addition to these functions, you can load video of your swing and compare your stats to each swing as you look at it. You can compare your swings to some of the pros. You can chart your swings over several sessions and see your progress. All of this means that now you will not struggle trying to figure out what is happening in your swing. What you feel isn't always what is real. Now you know what is real.I realize I sound a bit fired up over this thing, but it really is cool to find something that actually lives up to the hype. Zepp delivers.

I like playing Golf but I am loath to spend time and money on a lesson each and every week to improve my game, so this looked inviting.First appearance of the product, and it oozes quality, its packed like a piece of Apple kit.Basically it is a round green fluorescent sensor, 2.5cm in diameter 1.2cm high, that clips on the top hand glove (Left for right handers, right for left handers), it is unobtrusive and light, it’s not likely to fall off, the clip is quite substantial and hangs on tightly. It has its own rechargeable battery that lasts for a good six hours, the manual advises that eight hours is the life of a charge, but I have never tried it for more than six.It has its own charger which couples magnetically and plugs into a USB outlet either computer or mains.A Smart device App is required to use the Zepp2. I have paired it to my iPhone and to my iPad. The Android app is just as simple to load and obtain, I tried it on a Samsung tablet although I haven’t yet used it, I wanted to be able to say that it loads easily, and I can.The device has two accelerometers and two gyroscopes! These enable tracking of the sensor and this is extrapolated to the club swing enabling the App which pairs to a smart device via Bluetooth, to work out where it went and how it got thereWhen the club is used the swing is tracked and the software works out tempo, speed, direction and club plane, a fair bit of extrapolation, but it certainly looks right when any problems are identified, and I have a few problems. These were picked up by the App, which then suggests a personalised training schedule based on the observations. It can also record a video of your swing – your smart device requires to be mounted in the right place, better than somebody holding it, especially if they have a tendency to laugh at your efforts, as that tends to make the camera wobble! There are videos on the App – Fundamentals, Better Ball Striking, More Power, Stop Slicing, Stop Hooking, Swing mechanics, Speed Training, Core and Flexibility, these are all hosted by the celebrity golfers, Michelle Wie and Keegan Bradley. And there are more on line. There is a ton of help online and analysis of your data, plus you can store and compare your progress over time. I have only scratched the surface of this comprehensive device, weather restrictions mean nets or range play only at the moment, but I can see benefits already after the few outings I have had. I would like a friend who is an ex-pro to cast his eye over it and I will update this review when I can catch up with him. So far it looks very very good.

It appears to me that the Zepp Golf Swing Analyzer is beneficial if you are the analytical type and you like to figure things out on your own. This device gives you the immediate feedback that you need to make adjustments on a quantitative scale. For a weekend hack like me, it allows me to target several areas of deficiency (color-coded by green, yellow, and red) to make you better. Improvements happen at a diminishing rate, but when you are starting from a mid-handicap position, every little piece of advice helps improve your swing substantially. There are also drills and videos that help you out, which appear helpful. For example,my backswing was so far off from the target score that I was happy when I was able to move it from a "red" number to a "yellow" number. Similarly, if your clubhead speed is on the slow end (mine started "yellow"), after a few drills I have moved it up to a "green." I like the fact that you can either target a switch in color (i.e., a range) or an actual number. For those like me that are not good enough anyway, moving to a different band is a "win" and is less pressure than trying to get to a "target number."A few drawbacks though. First, calibrating the device is so sensitive to movements. You literally have to stand perfectly still. However, imagine trying to click the button to start the calibration on your phone, putting your phone away, setting up as if you were hitting a ball, and hold still for a few seconds. Doing this on a range is much more difficult. It would be easier to put a golf ball on the carpet near a desk, put your phone on the desk, and do a fake setup. But you would hope that the device is put on in the same way when you go out on the range, or else the calibration is useless. Second, no idea what really works and what doesn't. There is a 3D Swing Analyzer that looks kinda cool. But, I have no idea whether it is accurate or not. All the numbers that after each swing . . . same problem, I have no idea whether it is accurate or not. You basically just have to trust that you are doing things right on this device. Maybe it is best if this were used by you when taking golf lessons, but I wouldn't buy it if I were getting instruction (i.e., if I am paying for a golf coach to teach me, I sure hope he has the devices necessary to help my game). Regardless, it at least appears to be helpful as the issues it has pointed out do appear to be issues that reasonably affect my swing.

I was initially skeptical of how useful this item would be but took a chance as a weekend golfer with a handicap of 7.3. It has many features and took a while to get things going. In case you get this and don't read the quick-start guide, be sure to charge the sensor fully. It comes with a USB cord, but you need a USB-charging block or a computer with a USB port.I was particularly curious about the 3D swing analysis (which I realize is very similar to the name of this tool, but it is a separate option). It works surprisingly well. I'm amazed how the little device can calculate all the motion-related swing data. There are many things to explore in this package. Not all of them are useful or of interest to me,but I'll list what I can. The app has various "plans" to help you work on a specific part of your game. The plans are:- Fundamentals.- Better Ball Striking.- More Power.- Stop Slicing.- Stop Hooking.- Swing Mechanics.- Speed Training- Core Flexibiliy. There are also many videos for viewing for those interested. A calendar feature records all your swings. Some work does go into setting this up, like sporadic calibrations requiring you to be still while everything syncs or taking swings. Some negatives:- It's very techie.- The app couldn't be installed on my cellphone running Android 5.#. Luckily, I had a spare phone running Android 4.4.#. I don't know if the versions of Android are the problem or the cellphone.- I can't tell if the sensor device is on or off by looking at it.- The sensor and phone get disconnected more often than I'd like, thus adding inconvenience. Not knowing if this pricey item will work with your phone is a huge problem. Thankfully, the app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store, so if you're an Android user, download the app before purchasing to check if your phone is compatible to diminish the chance of you getting something you can't use. This has some quirks but is an impressive achievement in modern technology.

Having recently watched Danny Willett perform at the 2016 Masters Tournament I was pleased to be given the chance to try this new golf aid. The Zepp 2 Golf Swing Analyser is one of a type of device used for what is now known as Connected Sport which was pioneered by brands such as Zepp, PIQ and Babolat for sports like tennis, basketball, baseball and now golf. The Connected Sport idea follows on from Connected Health products and other types of Wearable Technology. The Zepp 2 Golf Swing Analyser is not a stand-alone device and needs to be used in conjunction with a Smartphone or Tablet and when you open the Zepp box you may wonder where your one hundred and thirty quid has gone!Don't panic - the clever stuff is all built in to the software contained in the sensor and if you watch the short video on Amazon's Product Page you will get an idea of some of the things the Zepp 2 can help you with. This product won't replace your golf pro for helping you to get things right initially but it will allow you monitor your performance over a period of time and the smart features like instant evaluations help you see where you can improve the most and focus your training. The Zepp 2 Golf Swing Analyser is a very handy little gadget that you will hardly notice wearing when in use and although the hardware may seem a little bit expensive at first glance, you do get quite a lot of features in the software. The 3D swing analyser measures the most important aspects of your swing, the club speed, the club plane, your tempo, back-swing length and plenty more. This device is easy to use just attach the sensor to your glove and let Zepp help you become the player you aspire to be. This is a useful product for anyone interested in golf and Connected Sport; recommended – even at the current price.

This is a great little golfing gadget that can help improve your game for a fraction of the cost of professional instruction. Although it is not a substitute for professional instruction. It is a small an unobtrusive device that clips onto the back of your glove. From here is monitors your swing, and transmits data to an app on a mobile device (phone or tablet). Here you can view the data, use it to change your game and track your progress as it stores all your data and allows you to compare. Also included are useful tutorials, so that once the device has evaluated your game it can suggest a tutorial that should help you improve.I found this quite easy to get set up. The instructions are clear, and it was easy to charge and connect to my tablet. On first use I have found the app to be easy to navigate and fairly intuitive. So far I have used it to record several swings, which I thought were pretty good until I saw the data! Using this I have already been able to make some adjustments and improve a little. I think that with continued use this will be a big help. There are some pretty advanced features here, I particularly like the record swing and compare it to a professional feature. It showed me just how far away from a ‘proper’ swing I am, and how to get closer to the professionals. As well as for the home improver, this is a useful tool for teachers, as it captures more data than can perhaps be seen by eye, and will allow you to spot those tiny things in the pupils game that need improving. The clip on device is light and unobtrusive, so doesn’t seem to be interfering with the swing by weighing the hand down. The whole thing feels robust and I hope will work well for a while to come.Well made, well thought through, easy to use and genuinely useful. 5 stars.

So I just got this about 4 days ago. Calibrate is a pain sometimes but might just take a few times.....you have to be REALLY still!!My biggest issue was a consistent swing. I would hit it amazing and other times not. I always left a HUGE divot b/c my swing was off. I had not played in 5 years really, and after that time off I was starting over with my swing. I had got into working out a lot. This has helped me so much already!! I took it in back yard and just swung about 80x a day for 3 days. Working so far with irons with NO BALL. After a few days I went to the driving range today and WOW!!!! I 90% of the time left the smallest divot, much more solid contact.Still need some work but my IRON swing has improved so much!!!My tempo is too fast at a 2.5:1 ration still and even when I try to improve it more it's not showing. HOWEVER my swing was 2:1 or worse and slowing down and seeing that has done wonders.REALLY HELPED SO FAR!!!Sometimes I get a 88 and didn't hit a great shot but I'm trying to build a consistent swing.... I would hit great shots before and my form was way off...so Again only looking at process right now but the results have been impressive so far!!!!UPDATE: After A few weeks it really has helped me. n One thing I wish this could do is club face angle or even angle of impact to the ball. Overall. Good for helping with swing plane and on target. The app helps with those but I was coming in at a very tough angle and hurting shots. Wish this could have helped me realize that earlier.

I passed this across to a few folk ranging from beginner to decent intermediate level. For good to expert players the consensus seemed to be that there was little to be gained from this.Good ThingsThe Zepp 2 is very easy to setup. You just have to charge it and then pair it to your phone for it to work and you don’t have to set up an account or register which for many of us is 'good' thing because so many gizmos seem to want to grab hold of your details supposedly to help you record things but in reality simply to be able to bombard you with promo and advertising garbage. It tells you your average swing speed, how many degrees on your back-swing, percentages on swing plane and hand plane. All (well, four people) also liked how easy it is to just put the Zepp2 on your glove and record very accurate swing details.Bad ThingsWhen you use it on your phone your phone battery runs out a lot quicker than normal (I was using iPhone 5S). Whilst using the 3D swing analysis, it shows you your plane on the 3D person but it doesn’t really help because it's not really clear enough in detail to help you analyse it properly. Looks flash but a bit of a gimmick. The overall consensus is positive. For anyone who is learning and improving then this will help you to understand where you are with regard to your swing. And of course knowledge is king as long as you act or can act upon it.

This is a small device (contains accelerometers and gyroscopes) that attaches to your glove and can record your golf swing. By pairing with an app (mines on iPhone) you can then analyse the details of your swing. It showed up some interesting points:1. When out in the garden with no golf ball on the ground. I picked up my drier and took a few practice swings. I was scoring over 80 (out of 100) each time. When I went to the driving range and put a golf ball down, my scores decreased to mid 60s. Why? I shorten my swing. I slow down my backswing tempo, and slow down the point of impact speed. When I addressed these at the range I was hitting the ball about 50 yards further, but slicing like mad!2.My swing is not consistent. It is generally on two planes with a driver and is not well controlled. Work to do there.3. My swing is pretty good with hybrids, and excellent with the higher lofted irons.Note that you need to tell the app which club you are using if you want to make any sense of the data.I like the fact that results are instant, however this is no substitute for proper lessons. The quick wins (fixing my backswing tempo for one) are great, but it cannot cure all the ills of a highish handicapped golfer.

Although I'm getting on a bit I'm relatively new to this whole golf thing. As a person who was firmly in the “nah, don’t like golf” camp I’m quite surprised how quickly the game has seeped into me and is my new favourite thing to do with my mates on a Saturday morning before heading off to the footy in the afternoon.Although I’m mad keen now I’m unfortunately not very good. Swinging is a particular weakness of mine as despite extensive practice I’m still struggling. The Zepp 2 needs to be used into conjunction with an app installed on your smartphone or tablet; I’ve been using mine with my Note 4.On opening the scarily light box ( I half expected it to be empty!) I was surprised to see how small the sensor was. However, it soon starts to work its magic in conjunction with the app I mentioned earlier. It must be made clear that the Zepp won’t turn you into a golf pro overnight, but what it does do is make you work on your swing, make you focus on getting it right and making slight adjustments. It is amazing how seemingly insignificant adjustments can make a difference to not only your swing but your confidence.I have to say I’m really impressed.

This little device that slots into your glove has really grown on me in recent weeks. I was sceptical at how much meaningful data it would collect, and how well it would display that data via its phone/tablet app. But it's surprisingly good at displaying your whole swing in 3D, and allowing you to rotate that 3D video to get different points of view, which you can play back repeatedly to analyse where improvements are needed. You also get various training videos built into the app, as well as various benchmarks to compare yourself to, and a trending reporting/analysis on how you've performed over time. So the experience is a good one, despite the product being a little pricey perhaps.Only one small thing I've noticed is that the Zepp device does keep losing bluetooth connectivity with my phone (a bit irritating), and when you press the button on the Zepp device to start recording your swing it doesn't always register on the app either (again a bit irritating). But overall it's a great device which I really like. It's just my arms, hips and legs aren't following the guidance as much as they should.

since getting this product I have gone to the range once and played one round using the sensor,( left phone in the car so uploaded the round when I came in). Did not experience any trouble connecting (Samsung s5 neo) although instruction leaflet is very sparse, when you click through the app on the phone you can figure out how to use sensor etc ( instructions contained in the app but not always apparent). Re the product itself, if you like technicalities you will love this. it is packed with information, feedback and tips. it isn't the absolute package e.g. whilst it will show you the variation in plane between your backswing and downswing it doesn't tell you if are on the correct plane.also no club face analysis as the sensor relays hand based analysis only. regardless the information is fascinating and I am delighted to be able to get this type of feedback. the graphics and drills etc are excellent. highly recommend if you are a person who likes to understand the fundamentals. this is the future of amateur tuition. I got this at a great price €118, so at that price would not hesitate to buy.

Awesome little sensor. You do have to spend some time to enter all the proper personal parameters (and personal targets) into the app to ensure the telemetry data being sent from the sensor back to your device is interpreted correctly. The other thing to be sure of is to make sure the sensor is positioned properly in the middle of the back of your hand or else it will throw the sensor data off.In the number of times I've had the chance to use it on the range, it has helped me with my golf swing to a fair degree. I pretty much knew where my main issues were before I got the sensor, but now I have actual data so that I can pinpoint what areas I need to work on and how far off from the "ideal" I really was. Then having the data to show if my efforts to improve on those areas have either worked or not worked is also really useful. Its a great tool to help you initially generate a baseline and general major focus area(s) to work on and then with subsequent use, the data will help to continually tweak and tailor the plan to match your individual swing.

Purchased this as I've got a huge tendency to slice the ball, and I prefer to try and work out where I'm going wrong rather than go for an hour lesson a week. This is about the same cost as 3 lessons, and having only used it twice, I'm already seeing where I need to change my swing. It gives real time feedback, so when you play a shot that feels right and the result is right you can replay the action straight away from your phone. It shows the entire swing, including where the power band is (for adjusting feet), plus club speed and you also get different angles so you can see what's going wrong.I've already increased the accuracy of my shots by around 40% so hopefully I can transfer than onto the course. Can be a bit fiddly to calibrate at first (which you need to do before each session),but swings upload to the cloud and you then get analysis from the app as to where to improve. Great little purchase, and can help everyone from beginner to low handicap golfers, just by showing minute changes which will help.

Really quite cool. My kids have been using the Zepp Baseball Analyzer for a little while now and really enjoy and benefited from its use. I have found the golf analyzer to be even more useful since the game is so much about consistency and repeating best practices. This tool allows you to look at your swing like most people could not do without a lot of expense and equipment. I wouldn't say the app is easy to use but it isn't nuclear science either. It takes some time to get used to and figure out the settings and screens but once you have them you are good to go. Any avid golfer could benefit or at least enjoy seeing they're swing with one of these. The cost is pretty reasonable especially when you consider it is really a round of two of golf on most courses. In addition, if like our family, you or your kids play baseball, the same sensor can be used with the bat attachment and batting app. I would also guess that Zepp is working on a tennis app and attachment for this Zepp 2.
