I bought this as an upgrade for my 10 year old 7x30 bino. It isn't a fair comparison because my old bino only took me 500 Chinese Yuan (roughly $100 CAD today). But that is the only bino I had. Well, I had tried a 8x42 bino ($200 CAD) years ago but my memory already faded. When I got thisConquest HD 8x32 it was still winter. The first day I took it out on a trail I was a bit disappointed because the color fringing seemed to be quite visible. I would say as bad as my old bino. Somehow I thought it's because the weather caused the extra high contrast (white snow + white sky VSblack/grey tree). Then I noticed there's dust inside of the binocular. The seller was contacted and they re-send me a new one once received my return.

They were a gift to my wife and she is crazy about them. Great clarity, brightness and sharpness.Many moons later - wife still loves these binoculars more than life itself, but ... here's something to consider - the two halves became loose, such that if you held them with one hand the other half would move under its own weight. So they needed adjustment/repair. Turns out they had to go to Germany, FOR THREE MONTHS! Really? Kind of ridiculous. They did provide a loaner pair after my wife complained, but still... three months is crazy. Like I said, something to consider.

The quality of image is amazing, but it have a recurrent problem, at least two friends that have the same product and I, and also some people in reviews have said the same, the binoculars change the distance between the eyes continuously, their mechanism that let you adjust the distance between your eyes is soo soft that you have to adjust it every time you use them, if you grave them whit only one hand they disarrange, for a product of this price and quality this is a big problem,also the undercups are impractical and bad designed.

These normally sell for about $900 but Bob Ward's had them on a one day sale for $720. I'd looked at them before and they are alpha-class bins for less than half the price of other 8x32 alpha roofs. Totally satisfied for general hiking and birding use.Very bright and VERY sharp. Terrific ergos. Enough eye relief for most glasses wearers and not too much for those who don't.

I am not an expert in binoculars, but I only heard good things about the company Zeiss. They might not have the same warranty on their product as Vortex or others, but there is a torture video on the internet about the Conquest HD, and I do not think any of those will ever happen to my glasses :).

These binoculars are worth their price. The optic is incredible. The size and weight are at the upper limits of the confort zone for bird watching. Very nice protectors and case. The oculars have a device that enables one to use the binoculars with or without glasses.

These are great binoculars! They are easy to focus, near or far. I bought these for a gift for our sons college graduation, and he has been very happy with them. One of these days, I might have to splurge get myself a pair.

These are great binoculars. Just what I wanted for looking for the wildlife around our property. Clear, lightweight. Only gripe: The front lens protection device is a bit difficult to keep fixed in place.

Excellent light gathering. Very sensitive adjustment required, can't be heavy-handed , but can adjust using one hand. Bright and clear. Easy to wear.

Very good binoculars; not as good as our Leica 8x32--eye focus slightly more challenging. Would take it any day over a cheap pair though!
