This is one of those candles that I know I won't be able to have on for a long time, as it's very, very sickly sweet smelling, but as a plus, it'll last a long, long time. It's not at all unpleasant, but a little goes a long way. I know I need to let the candle burn for a good few hours on first use, but it really is rather overpowering.The smell of this candle disperses and wafts all over immediately; with some of the others (all floral) in the Sunday Brunch collection that I've tried, it's taken a few hours for the scent to be discernible in other rooms. I've had this burning for about 30 minutes now, and the scent is pungent downstairs and can be smelled faintly upstairs. It is a nice smell,

As any Yankee candle, I have to say they are one of the best. The big glass jar makes it safe to leave in a room unattended for a bit as all the hot wax doesn't overflow outside the jar. The flame is consistent and the wax melts equally as it goes. The lid has like a rubber seal to make it air tight so the scent is preserved almost until the candle is finished. This particular scent though is not my favourite. I like the vanilla cupcakes ones so I don't mind the sweet smell of vanilla at all. But this Belgian Waffle is just a bit too much. I can't have it on for more than 30 min because it is just too sweet, too much, all the butter and whipped cream smell gives it a heavy smell really. Also,

This is a large sized candle jar with a lid, notably a lid that can be removed to smell it before choosing suitability, which is handy if gifting it is what you're planning, I guess a sizeable chunk of these are sold as gifts.The packaging was well thought out actually, it's all cardboard but padded enough to not break while small enough to really be not much more than the size of the jar, plus of course the obligatory amazon box of arbitrary sizing!Smellwise, see the title of the review. You don't buy something called "Belgian Waffle" and expect it to have a moderate smell, you buy it because you want it to smell exactly like sugar and pastry (batter, or whatever). Which it does.

This is the candle that made me addicted to Yankee! Its hard to explain but the scent of this candle reminds me of America, Its like cooking spiced breads, mince pies, cooking apple and cinnamon, brewing earl grey tea with lemon, grinding a mixture of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and allspice. it's like feeling all warm and relaxed with a real coal fire on a really cold autumnal evening. You can take the lid off and still get a waft of spice in the air. I used to buy the cheap scented candles and i wouldn't dream of spending so much on one candle, but a friend brought me a sampler and the rest is history. The large jar burns for up to 150 hours,

Great quality as always, however I'm not so keen on cinnamon, and this candle stinks of cinnamon. However, my mum loves it and says it smells great, just personal preference. Perhaps a risky present unless you know what the recipent likes, if your looking for a present I'd go with clean cotton by Yankee candle, as it's really nice, smells like freshly washed clothes, and it's a smell you can't go wrong with. This is one of the few Yankee candles I don't really like, most of them smell lovely, the fragrance is just enough, it's strong enough to make your home smell lovely, but not that strong that it's in your face. Overall Yankee candle is a great company with great candles,

For starters, I have been told that on its first burn, to let it burn for 3hrs so it burns evenly at the start. Then as you go along, to avoid the black smoke, you keep the wick trimmed to 1/8.Generally I find that with these large yankee candles, they do last, and they last long time. They are most definitely worth their money.Vanilla Lime is a subtle and not over powering smell that will fill one room only. You won't find it drifting into other rooms. The combination of vanilla and lime is close to 50/50. Not one of those over powers the other.The candle is one of those that could be used in winter or summer. The reason for the 4 out of 5 star is that it just doesn't quite fill the room.

Every Christmas my husband lets me buy a Yankee Candle and although we normally buy these from a local shop, there was an offer on this one and I liked the sound of it so we decided to give it a try. I was addicted pretty quickly! It lasted a good couple of months, despite being burned most days for a couple of hours at least at a time. The whole downstairs would smell beautifully of the Christmassy, sweet, cinnamon-y deliciousness that just makes you feel all cosy and snuggly in the winter. The perfect way to create a cosy feeling at Christmas!

I am a great fan of Yankee Candles and they make the whole house smell lovely. I am not fond of sickly sweet or very strong smells so am really pleased with the lemongrass and ginger Yankee Candle. I have used lemongrass reed diffusers before and loved the smell so was hoping the candle would be the same, which it was. It was a very fresh smell to it, not at all heavy, and the smell does carry throughout the house. Any visitors always ask what the lovely smell is when entering my house.

This has got to be the best smelling Yankee candle of all time ever.It smells just like Lime Sherbert and reminds of the old fashioned sweets Chocolate Limes. The throw is good and the entire house is left smelling fresh and lovely.I loved it so much that i bought another one and have not burnt it just so i can keep the lid off and smell it, and i have found that in my bathroom for example just taking the lid off is enough to fragrance the whole room without having to burn it.

I absolutely love this Yankee candle. The smell Vanilla lime is just amazing and lingers round the whole house. Everyone has commented on the lush smell. When it arrived n I opened the jar I didn't get a whiff of much and tbh I was gonna return it.. Glad I didn't.. Worth every penny.. Oh while we are on pennies... It shot up 4 quid by the time I came to buy some more jars... So if you see it at a good price buy a few of them... I'm waiting for the price to be down again.. ?

I love yankee candles they have the best smells and are well worth the money especially when you can get them cheaper on amazon! I really love this home sweet home candle, it is a lovely spiced smell. It is the perfect kind of spiced apple "Christmas smell", but I love it all year round. It is a very homely scent and I can't recommend it enough. Large jars last for a very long time so the cost of them is worth it compared to cheaper smller candles that only last a few days

I was a bit concerned about the reach of the scent on the Vanilla Lime one as I'd read reviews about it not throwing very far. I decided to risk it and bought it to find out for myself.I've had it on a couple of hours in the usual hallway spot with the windows open and it can be smelt throughout our two storey home, just like the others.It is a light, sweet smell, it's definitely not as strong as say Pink Sands, but it's pleasant and I'm happy I bought it.

We loves this candle ? we buy this one all the time, We love the smell it gives off and my wife will not try any other candles ?. This goes up and down in price from £15 to £19 when more people are buying it, So we wait till it drops to £15 and I think that is the right price for this candle ?. We love the quality we have never had a bad one or damaged one yet fingers crossed and this one arrived in the original Yankee Candle box so that was nice.

I purchased three candles (different scents and colours) because they match the colours of my bathroom towels. I wanted them to display them in my bathroom to add a splash of colour, and I'm very pleased with how they look. They haven't been lit so I can't comment on how long they burn for, but even with the caps off you can smell the scent. I think they make great decorative additions to a room or as a house warming gift.

I HAVE TRIED THIS CANDLE AND REALLY LIKE THE WARMING SPICY SCENT. THIS ONE IS A PARTICULAR FAVOURITE. IT LASTS QUITE ALONG TIME BUT WISH IT LASTED LONGER! ONCE THE CANDLE IS LIT THE AROMA IS VERY NOTICEABLE. YOU GET USE TO THE SMELL AFTER A WHILE AND THE AROMA IS MORE NOTICEABLE WHEN YOU ENTER THE ROOM.THE CANDLE WAS REALLY PACKAGED WELL AND ARRIVED QUICKLY. A LOVELY CANDLE FOR CHRISTMAS. IT MAKES ME FEEL RELAXED.
