I use this knife guard for a Wusthof cook's knife with a 26cm (10 inch) blade. It's a very simple device. A thick plastic sleeve, open on one long edge, the other long edge is rigid and provides the springiness to keep hold of the blade. Inside there is a durable felt to protect the blade and to make it easy to insert the blade too. Once you get the hang of putting the knife into the guard it is ever-so easy. If it seems difficult at first find a YouTube video about knife guards and you'll see someone who already has the nack of it demonstrate for you (that's what I did).

Considering the quality of their knives, and the cost of this protection case, I feel their design team could do a lot better. The knife tip soon pokes through the end, as it is not sealed, so it doesn't really do its job effectively. It does however at least slip in and out easily and does protect the cutting length of the blade, and if you don't push it in too hard it will stay in the right place. I would have preferred the end to be sealed though! Maybe I'll stick some gaffa tape over the end!

We spent some extra money on a single chefs knife recently - wasn't worth buying a knife block so we keep it in the draw.This holder keeps it safe from knocks/dents from other items in the draw which is ideal as we want to keep this new knife for a long time.It also is great for keeping the blade covered when not in use for example, whilst I was BBQ'ing in the garden. No fears of a child knocking it and it causing any injury.The inside is made of a nice felt material.

I had always thought these were a bit of a waste of money and had made my own in best Blue Peter style with cardboard and strong tape, but I thought I'd try one for my most expensive knife and I have to say it is very good. Easy and safe to get the knife in and out of it, very secure and feels hard wearing. If you have a decent knife and want to make sure it doesn't get scratched or chipped when its stored, this will do the job perfectly.

Great for quality blades you don't want to simply throw into your kitchen drawer, not as good as getting a knife with a fitted sheath but the next best thing. There are others of the same ilk and you can find leather sheaths online but getting the right size and shape is a nightmare, be prepared to send a few back and to pay the postage.

Great sheath, but i didnt see that proof of age was required. We're both in our late 60's and we do not possess driving licence or passport. I know we look young for our age but I think a casual look would reveal our age rather than demanding proof of age at the doorstep.

They are brilliant at protecting my knives but sadly the size of the covers is not on the site. So I had to guess. Length and width of each would be brilliant so much more useful than a knife size. The covers themselves are 5 star.

Does what it says on the tin, does a good job of keeping knife blade from banging around in a drawer but no better than cheaper blade protectors, bought this as I knew it would fit the Wusthof knife I had just bought.

Excellent guard and lined in a velvet type material to prevent scoring of the blade. If you're going to spend a substantial sum for the best of knives makes sense to protect it from contact with other implements.

Great for ikea 365 knife that's super sharp and we would cut ourselves off the blade when we reached into the drawer. It would be better if one end was closed but it's great quality and will last a long time.

Good product, protects the blade well. The only problem is that they can slide off in your knife roll/case if the knives move around a bit. Could do with having a clip or strap to stop them sliding off.

Protects the blade perfectley so i can take the knife out of the box and store it in the drawer without worrying it will blunt or cut me by accident.it is a very sharp knife. Bought one for my son too.

It does what it says, decent quality I suppose, fits my 8" knife perfectly, just a bit expensive considering it's a bit of cardboard and felt, but does keep my knife safe in the drawer.

good individual case to keep the blade of your knives safe while storing them or carrying them in your knives' bag. I think that being moderately careful it will last.

Although it does the job as a knife guard, this is quite an expensive piesce of equipment and I am sure a more robust product could have been manufactured cheaper.
