The puzzle in itself, once completed looks impressive and a sense of pride will overcome you once a the pieces have been fitted together. However, it is essentially just a 3D image lasered into foam. The pieces came in a box and weren't in their own bag which gave a negative impression on first opening. Additionally there are a lot of pieces that aren't needed and get thrown away in the end, these pieces are marked by red dots. There are no instructions in order to help you find the pieces for the different planes except for "sort into colour" "now sort into shapes/edges etc" the instructions for putting those planes together aren't much better either with it being in grey scale and no real direction as to what pieces go where and which way around.

This puzzle is suprisingly tough given that it is less than 500 pieces. The complexity comes from it actually being lots of smaller puzzles that you assembly flat, and then connect together to make the 3D shape. The assembly of the train itself is just a case of following instructions, but the assembly of the 2D parts is quite challenging.The pieces are well made, fit together well and are satisfying to put together.The puzzle seems to be marketed at teenagers given the Harry Potter theme, but I would say it is at quite a high level of challenge for the average teen. I'd only really recommend it for someone who is already quite accomplished at jigsaw puzzles.

Honest review time! I bought this because my grandfather who doesn't like me very much was struggling to complete it. I wanted to rub it in his face a little bit that I could complete this before he did. Sounds selfish right? But even though I am the black sheep of the family, he's horrible to everyone . This was a challenging puzzle, some of the bits almost seem slightly too different, but it's done and completed and makes a beautiful display... Of course I sent pictures of my completed train and got called insufferable, as childish as it sounds I'm completely proud.A very good, challenging puzzle, I have since bought and completed diagon ally as well.

This is another great addition to the Harry Potter-related 3D-puzzles by Wrebbit. Once more, the quality of the pieces is extremely high and the finished product looks absolutely great. This one is also a lot less challenging than the Hogwarts puzzles, so if you had some difficulty with those, this one will be a lot more relaxing. If you like a challenge, this one is less appropriate but you shouldn't let that stop you. It is great fun anyway and it is another piece of the Harry Potter world brought to life for you. I love it and I truly hope Wrebbit will create some more Harry Potter 3D-puzzles. I know I would by them all!

After completing the Hogwarts Castle and astronomy tower (which where both very challenging and took 2 of us to build) I decided to buy the Hogwarts express to complete my little Hogwarts display. It came very quickly, ordered on Sunday, came on Tuesday (free delivery -perfect)Only took myself, 4 evenings to sort out pieces, put together flat and then follow the instructions to put together! Easy to build and put together! Great little build and certainly happy with the finished product!

This puzzle is most definitely aimed at the older teenager, it's challenging, but once completed it is an excellent model.The puzzle pieces are robust and once assembled, the model keeps its shape very well, resulting in a Harry Potter Hogwarts Express model that can be kept as a really stunning display piece.Harry Potter fans will love this. It makes an unusual gift, but also requires patience and skill to complete

This is a great project for teenage and adult Harry Potter fans as there are a lot of pieces and assembly requires patience and focus, but by the same token it isn't really suitable for youger children.This is well made and well designed, but you'd probably need to be interested in fairly complex jigsaw puzzles, more than in Harry Potter, to get the full benefit!

I really struggled with this but am not going to let this influence the review as I rarely do puzzles and it may give you a gauge of difficulty if you are giving it to a none puzzler. Quality is first rate and everything fits very well. Would make a great present for either the ardent Harry Potter fan or puzzle fans.

This is, without a doubt, the hardest puzzle I've ever worked on, but it is well worth the effort. It's a lovely piece when fully assembled, though it took me quite a while to get that far. It is definitely not for the faint of heart, nor is it for those under 11 (heck, it may not even be for those who are 30+)!

This is quite a sophisticated toy which I think is for a slightly older child ( or Lego genius).. As it took around 3 hours for them to build it and complete it yesterday- it looks quite impressive once built too so clear a space ready- very absorbing for them all and the 3 of them built it together.

So much fun and amazing finish. Instructions were good but tried not to use them. Love this! Only downside... I can't bring myself to dismantle them so I'm slowly going to have to build the wizarding world in my living room and just accept that this is my life now.

perfect for any harry potter fan,my daughter is currently putting it together but only downside is you have loads of pieces in there that aint needed but apart from that she's happy

Great quality product. Takes a while to build but definitely worth the effort as you end up with a 3d model to be proud of! Great for a Harry Potter fan or a model/train enthusiast.
