I've played this with 2 and 3 people because I was so excited and eager to play that I couldn't wait to have 4 people in my house. The game board itself is small and actual gameplay is quick. But of course this is based on a 2-3 person game not the recommended 4+. I am sure gameplay would be longer if played with the right amount of people. The game comes with multi-colored playing pieces, a sand timer, playing board, one die, Would You Rather categoried question cards, notepads, pencils and a set of Challenge Cards. The game is played by rolling the die and moving your piece the appropriate number of spaces. The color square you land on determines the categories question you will ask the rest of the players. You draw a card and read it to yourself trying to determine how the group will answer. You record your prediction on the notepad them read the Would you Rather question aloud. The group will have 90 seconds to come up with an answer. If your prediction was correct your turn is continued until you predict incorrectly. At that point it is someone else's turn. Of you land on a Challenge square then you must successfully complete the challenge (this is required to move up to the next tier of the gameboard). If you do not meet your challenge, you remain in the same tier and play continues to the next person. To win you must get your timepiece to the 3rd tier and successfully complete the challenge. We played by the rules twice and then decided to ditch the game board and just took turns asking the questions! In any case this is a fun and thought provoking game. You will really learn about people and maybe yourself too!

I am a huge fan of these type games, but this specific version seems to be strictly intended toward adults. I realize there is a version for kids, and in hindsight should have purchased that one.Our children (6 and 8) do not understand many of the questions, so we play as teams (my wife and daughter vs. my son and I). This was we can assist with what the questions mean and put them into context for the kids.Pros: Lots of fun. Very lively game that sparks quite a bit of conversation. Some of the challenges are great. My son and I had to switch socks for the remainder of the game (yuk!). ;-)Cons: Not enough variety in the challenges. Some of the challenges will take a LONG time, so we select another one.Even then, the game will take well over an hour to complete. As mentioned, this is a great game if you are a young couple wanting to entertain friends, but I would not recommend this for a family with under the age of 12.

We bought the "travel" version of this game as a gift for friends of ours (middle aged adult couple like us). The travel version was more fun to play and was easier to play. Unfortunately, the travel version did not have enough cards to be interesting for very long. This "classic" version has lots of cards. The way we all play this game now is to use the cards from the classic version and the instructions and pieces from the travel version. Too bad the cards in the travel version are also part of the classic version so those are duplicate cards instead of new/unique cards. This game (either version) probably would not be nearly as much fun for teens and younger. BTW,drinking makes this game a riot.

I bought this game for my friends birthday. She loves it, it is definitely a conversation starter and fun. I also bought the travel game and the pocket game for gifts also. All Arrived fast and well packaged. If you are looking for a fun game this is one, they also have children and adult options. I would get more for gifts and probably will for Christmas. I am doing family gifts this year with games, snacks, drinks, and treats in a basket. Also great for camping, family night, game night with friends....The only reason it is rated low in the educational is because you learn more about the people playing than than a literal aspect.

Even if you don't sit down to actually play the game, it is fun just to take the cards and use them for conversation starters. The questions really make you think because you don't have a choice of "none of the above" - - you have to choose something from equally detestable options. There are a few questions that border on being overly sexual for family entertainment, but you can choose not to read those questions and move over them. Great fun, however. . . would be awesome to take on a road trip to make the time pass.

Just opened the box today and was impressed with the quality of the contents. Tiles are easy to read for old eyes - not only large numbers, but also colors are good contrast, tiles are thick and substantial. Haven't played yet but I read quite a few of the questions and found myself laughing at a lot of them. Am looking forward to a great discussion with the question cards on an upcoming road trip.

This game is a blast! I played it with my in-laws and nieces/nephew on Christmas and everyone had a great time! The only thing is you have to have at least 4 people to play it, so my husband and I can only play it when we have get-togethers since we do not have any kids. That said, this game is so much fun that we might just find ourselves having a lot more get-togethers just to play it!

great for groups or just your family. A little complicated at first but worthy mostly. Most fun when people take time to discuss their opinions. Could easily be played with your own rules with just the question cards to simplify to give variety of ways to play the game. Great for both the shy and outgoing person. You can answer as privately or openly as you want.

I have played this game with my family and with a couple of different youth groups. It has been a huge success! People interact and have a blast trying to decide what they would really do with the "absurd" choices they have to make. It can be played as the board game it's meant to be or just for fun to get interaction and creativity going. I highly recommend it!

This is so much fun to play with family. Everyone has to agree on an outcome, something that isn't as easy as it sounds. I seem to be the difficult player, cause I rarely agree with the other players. It's lots of laughs with trying to decide which is the worst thing you would rather....bad or badder...worse or worst...Simply gets the conversations going.

I haven't played the game thoroughly yet, but my friends and i really enjoy it. We've just asked the questions to each other without using the board. Some of the questions really make you think. All in all it's definitely a game to get the party/gathering/event started. I will look forward to playing it with the board and rules eventually.

Got this game after I was at an activity with young adults and we played it. Played it with my family and had a lot of laughs! Game can be as quick as you want it to be. The youngest player was 10 and he needed some help with some words, but it seemed to help him learn the meaning as well as the spelling of some words.

We enjoy this game for car rides, but my friends version has MUCH better questions- bit grosser and outrageous. And we triple checked she doesn't have the extreme version, just a much older version of the original. It's fine though, still worth the money, and fun to play with or without the board.

This is a awesome game and I would recomend it to anyone who needs a good laugh. My children and I love it. I also use it as a social game where I work at a middle school for autistic children and it is a great way to teach them social skills along with having a great time with their peers!

I purchased this game before the holidays; we played it during a family gathering on Christmas and had a blast! The game provided hours of entertainment for the entire family--adults and children. We even took pictures during some of the required "activities," which were a hoot!
