I bought this after finding my toddler's hand stuck in the hole of his old one, which required an adult to open each time. This is very easy for him to use as he can just lift a flap to retrieve the blocks and, as is often the case given his young age, he can also put them in this way thereby preventing his early disengagement from the toy. The whole toy is solid rubberwood apart from an MDF base and seems pretty child proof. The paints are child safe (I must admit that while the EU has strict regulations one storyof lead paint in Chinese produced toys was enough to make me paranoid) and the manufacturer has a strong ethical slant in its literature so that was some comfort as well.

We bought the Wonderworld Posting House for our daughter's first birthday. I was surprised when it arrived how small it was (about the size of a shoebox), but the size seems just right for a 1 year-old. About a month into it's use, it hasn't shown any major signs of wear. The paint on one of the shapes is a little rubbed off, but it may have arrived like that (I'm not sure). As far as fun is concerned, my daughter likes to open and close the roof, and suck on the shapes, but that's about it. I hope that as she gets a bit older, she'll grow into this toy more. Overall, I think it is a very well made toy.

This is a great toy - sturdy, attractive and easy to use. I gave this present to a friend's 18 month daughter and she took to it straight away and has been playing with it lots. It has a great little handle (just the right size for little hands) and the roof lifts up so that all the blocks can go in and give the child the option to put the shapes in through the roof and or through the dedicated shaped holes - which makes this a more versatile toy. Its great and I would buy more products from this company! I could not rate this toy any higher - its brilliant!

Bought for our 17 month old granddaughter. It appears to be a really nice quality wooden product, and robust (so far!), and she always gets it out when she visits. However, as others have said, with the younger ones actual shape sorting doesn't happen, but she does like lifting the roof and putting the pieces into the house, and then carrying it around (the 'handle' is just the right size).

I've been looking for an old fashioned wooden sorting house for ages, none of the high street shops had what I was looking for. I looked at a few online and chose this, mainly because the lid is on a hinge, otherwise my son would loose the lid. He loves it, has a carry handle that he can use for his small hands. Plays with it everyday. Very glad I bought it.

This toy house is a great toy for my little boy. It's painted in bright colours and it's very sturdy. My little one loves to carry it with him and to sort out all those shapes. I'm actually looking to get more wooden toys from this company.

I'm a childminder and the young children (1yrs - 3yrs have all had a go at playing with this colourful house. its a great size for little hands and is built to last. Would recomend!

I highly recommend Wonderworld products after buying one of their wooden kitchens. This shape sorter is great, bought for a friends 18 month old who loves it!

You can't beat a lovely wooden example of the ages old idea of a shapes posting box. Stretch their little minds with this lovely sturdy object.
