For many years now in our house we have bought frying pan after frying pan.... casserole dish after casserole dish only to end up throwing them away because they have either warped or the non-stick coating has decided to remove itself from the pan. Tefal pans are the worst offender in this regard having bought one of their "new" non-stick coated pans a few months ago only to throw it away because of the problems i list above.Well 6 years ago we were at the NEC in Birmingham and WOLL had a stand there selling their pans. After watching a demonstration and holding a pan we were sold on the idea (even though the price was high). We bought this exact pan which comes with a detachable handle (easy to detach when you want to,yet very secure while you're using it), A lid with valve in the top which can control the air leaving the pan (so as to keep the heat and moisture in or if you want to allow the excess steam to leave). The non-stick coating even 6 years later is perfect and hasn't let us down yet and we use it every day for everything from bacon and eggs to steaks, casseroles and stews. EVERYTHING is oven proof! Yet because the handle can be removed you simply take that off when you put the pan in the oven and connect it back up when you want to take it out (saves using gloves all the time and cuts down on storage space). The pan is made from cast aluminium not iron. Yet to my amazement i learnt that this makes for a better and more usable pan. Heat radiates throughout so the whole pan is at the same temperature and the pan WILL NOT WARP under any circumstances... the chef demonstrated that you can even put cold water straight into the pan without any problems and it's dishwasher proof although he did say to wash the pan lightly in the sink before placing it in the dishwasher. Weight wise you would think it was cast iron as it does weigh a lot but it can hold quite a lot because of it's size. Finally a word of caution... NEVER USE OLIVE OIL IN THIS OR ANY OTHER NON-STICK PAN as this forms a brown coating over the non stick coating, sadly we learnt this too late and although the non-stick surface in this pan is still there 6 years on, the brown mark at the bottom remains BUT i have found a remedy for this (see bottom).PROS: Excellent quality, Non-stick surface is the best I've EVER seen and has lasted over 6 years to this point and is used every day, 100% oven proof, handle is fantastically designed and can be detached with ease, lid is strong and the vent is well made and should last the same length of time as the pan.CONS: DON'T use olive oil under ANY circumstances, They are expensive pans BUT they should last many many years!!VERDICT: The best pan we have ever used and since we threw our Tefal frying pan away recently it is now the only pan we use, It's extremely well made and cooking is easy... cleaning is also trouble free as everything just glides off.. This is all backed up by WOLL giving all their pans a lifetime guarantee against warping and the non-stick coating.. just remember avoid olive oil and don't use metal utensils which is common sense with any non-stick pan!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PRODUCT!!!----------------------------------------------------------------------Now time to give you a remedy to the olive oil problem i stated above. I spoke to a chef recently who works for WOLL and goes around the world using their products. He said stop using olive oil and do the following1) 3/4 fill the pan with cold water (pan must be as clean as possible)2) add a few table spoons of biological detergent for white clothes in powder form to the pan and bring to the boil on a hob3) when it starts to boil use a soft brush for cleaning pots and pans and move it across the surface of the pan until it glides trouble free4) immediately turn the heat down so it just simmers and leave for 40 minutes (do not cover with lid) and keep an eye so the liquid doesn't dry up (add more hot water if necessarily)5) after 40 minutes pour the liquid away and put some boiling water back into the pan and boil for 3 minutes6) throw that water away and clean the pan in warm soapy water7) when dry place a small amount of sunflower oil in the pan and spread using kitchen roll, wipe excess away, then store for your next use! This worked for us and has restored our pan back to its new state, try this if you are in the same situation regarding using olive oil.....just remember don't use olive oil and you won't have the problem in the first place but if you do have the same problem we had then try the method above.(any questions about the pan then please don't hesitate to post a comment and i'll do my best to answer!)

I purchased this at the NEC Good Food Show after watching the demonstration given I had no doubt it would be worth the cost. I have not been in the slightest disappointed only to wish I had also bought the smaller pan too. I rarely use any other pan now, never add fat to my pan even to cook bacon and egg...you just throw in a wet kitchen roll square, and the egg poaches in the steam created..providing you have the lid. Ideal as it goes in the oven too, removable handle, so no problems there. I cannot recommend this make of pan highly enough, and will definitely buy the saucepan or steamer if they make one to cook my vegetables in it.An excellent buy with a lifetime guarantee...perfect every time Highly highly recommended..

This is our third Woll sauté pan over the years, we also have a milk pan.We sadly destroyed the nonstick lining on our previous sauté pan with a low fat spray - all now confined to the bin.We wanted a 28cms but we couldn’t find one so opted for the 26cms one which to be fair is big enough.Use virtually every day for making a variety of dishes- chilli, bolognese, casseroles, sauté rhubarb, American pancakes. The non stick surface is high quality and the pan extremely versatile as it can go in the oven. Easy to clean, food just washes off - don’t need to soak or scrub. The fact that the handle clips off makes it easy to store and use as a casserole dish.Would recommend just don’t use low fat cookingspray!!

I have had one of these 28cm sauce pans since March... I love it. It is used every day and is really the only pan I tend to use. Egg and bacon, stir-fry, Thai food, Indian food, omelettes, pancakes... they all cook beautifully and the clean-up is just a simple wipe with a piece of kitchen towel, or an occasional wash with washing up liquid in the water.I am now debating getting a second pan (but can't decide if I really need another because this one is so versatile).I have seen comments regarding the non-stick surface; I have invested in some silicon utensils which ensure that there is no chance of scratching the surface.

Bought as a replacement & even thought the previous one only lasted 8 years this was more down to our abuse & not following instructions (eg do not use at extremely high temperatures with olive oil!) than the pans fault. It is simply excellent uses virtually no oil as no stick is brilliant, is very robust & the best size to cope with all cooking tasks. A tad on the heavy size but again this adds to its sturdiness & must have the lid which is more expense. Buy it you wont regret it.

This pan is an excellent addition to my kitchen. I already have a bigger version of this range and was so pleased with it versatility that I wanted a smaller one too. You can use it on the hob or in the oven, it has a detachable handle and is totally non stick. A quick wash in hot soapy water is all it needs to restore it to its original state. I will probably add more of the wonderful pans in the future.Delivery was quick and within the time range given.

This is a really useful pan as it can be used on the stove top as a saucepan or in the oven as a casserole. it has a detachable handle so fits in the oven easily. I have to say this is smaller than I was expecting, since the measurements were confusing just said 20cms with no indication of whether that was for the base or the top (turned out to be the top) So smaller than expected, but still a good pan

Already have a number of this company’s products. They do exactly what it says on the tin. Can cook without oil or fat although tend to use a little rape seed oil and butter for taste. Couldn’t be easier to clean and handle detaches and reattached very easily which makes them perfect for use in the oven. Often cook on top for sealing, put in oven and detach handle to finish off. Highly recommend

We've had a couple of these pans for years and used them virtually every day. I finally had to admit they were past it and bought two more, but these will last for years and years. I love them - start a dish on the stove, put it in the oven - they're so versatile. Quite heavy though, so if you have RSI or similar, you might want to look elsewhere.

This is a very good saute pan and I find it invaluable when cooking lots of different dishes. You can detach the handle and put it in the oven to finish off things. I use it with the lid on to cook a variety of dishes and I also use it to part cook dishes before transferring them to my slow cooker. The only downside is that it is a bit expensive.

This was bought as a gift because we are sooooo happy with the same one we bought last year. It cooks evenly, doesn't burn (well, of course it would if you tried), 'fries' an egg without any fat, transfers smoothly from hob to oven. The detachable handle is such a good idea. I use it almost daily and certainly way more than any other pan.

This pan may seem expensive, but you get what you pay for. It is so versatile especially as it goes in the oven. It's beautifully made and a pleasure to cook with. It's great for leaving food, ie curry, casseroles etc, simmering for a few hours to bring out the flavours. It cleans a treat in the dishwasher. Worth every penny.

Having tried a lot of top named pans all of which either warped or lost non stick coating, this pan is incredibly well made. You can wash when hot without fear of warping and cook anything without using any oil if you want. Handle comes off and you can pop into oven. Dishwasher safe and just feels it will last a lifetime.

I cannot praise these hightly enough! They are great for cooking on the hob but with the removeable handle transter easily to the oven for casseroles etc. A very versatile pan. I don't have to use cooking oil now I have this - nothing sticks and they are so easy to clean. Highly recommended.

This was bough for my son and wife as we had already bought one a year earlier. We both love it - it is of a very high quality, retains heat and is amazingly easy to clean. It is so useful as you can also put it in the oven. It is not the cheapest of products but well worth the price.
