I have played basketball at all levels, including professionally for 6 years. I have never, however, played on an official FIBA 3x3 tournament. This concept is really interesting (size 6 - 28.5 with the weight of a regular adult/men’s basketball size 7). I teach my son twice a week with a 28.5 ball and it is really awkward for me to shoot mainly due to its weight. The size does not really play a factor since its a matter of adjusting the grip, so playin around with this ball has been very interesting. My son has really noticed the difference, which I think it is a good thing for a 7 year old to practice with a heavier ball but still be able to dribble and hold a size 6.He too has adjusted to it after a couple of days of practice. We are both enjoying this ball very much and it has been nice to see how much easier it is for him to play/shoot/pass with a regular size 6 on the weekend’s game days.I have another Wilson “Wave Triple Threat” regular indoor ball, so I definitely can attest to how nice it is to grip it and how nice it feels to the touch even after having moist hands from playing for a while. The lines (as I have tried to capture on the pictures) are very well made, and allows it for a feel of continuation of the main body as it seems to be made of the same material, so the grip on the lines is pretty much the same. Owning this ball is certainly a unique thing, since you cant really take it to your weekly rec center open gym and expect others to play with, however if you train kids or just want to have a smaller ball to play around this is a great choice in my opinion. I have played with it about 8 times and cannot really find any downside. Holds air very well (we were playing with it out of the box for the first two days, so it kept its factory air - which is pretty impressive). We did calibrate since, and so far it has been superb in keeping its pressure. Overall she is happy with it, good quality, fun style and comfortable. arrived on time, haven't used it yet, but what a great idea for pick up games that perhaps have youngins, or maybe are co-ed. also most pick up games are played on dirty courts the best ball in the world will be slick when plastered with dirt slime and sweaty filth. hopefully the size and ridges will help everyone handle the ball better. im thinking it's going to sail in the passing game and promote a more offensive game. a la 10 min 3x3 games. .....updated. Now I've used it for a while. nice ball, a nice relatively soft ball but has nice bounce. this is a fun ball for it's unique characteristics. it's easy to pass fast, probably easier for weaker people to hit threes.and yes it alwas seems to have some grip even after dirty and even somewhat sweaty or otherwise moist. it is a different kind of ball and shoots a little differently, the ridges are very noticable but not that deep. i like it for playing coed pickup games. of course the dribble handling is better on a gg7x molten. but nobody gets better than the gg7 for handling. overall this ball does what it was made for and is real fun to play with. the durability has been gelatively good playing with it 1 a week for over a year. still handles good in good condition even after some abuse

I have other Wilson brand basketballs and this one caught my attention with “Fiba”. The build quality As expected. Grip is comfortable. The grip seems okay as it is new. I do noticed that the size is a bit smaller as i can easily grip it with one hand while I usually have a harder time with other. Or simply new ball has a better grip.Only played with it couple times and like it. Honestly, I don’t see much difference compared with other basketballs. It just look cool using a “fiba” basketball.Durability is not rated since I want to see how long it last, especially how well it hold the air. Read other reviews said that it deflated faster than expected or not enough air when the basket arrived.The one I received arrived with no issue and can be played right away without pumping additional air. Will play couple games and see how well the ball hold the air in.

I love to play basketball, and my kids and I always have 3 or 4 basketballs in the garage to play with in the driveway. I selected this ball from Amazon because the colors looked cool and I knew the kids would like it. I didn't pay close attention to the description of how the ball had a unique grip. Wilson calls it "Triple Threat Technology" and says it has more points of grip and pebbled rubber channels. This is definitely true. The surface of the ball feels very gripable and my boys really like how soft yet manageable it is for catching and shooting. There are probably a lot a gimmicks out there for why one ball is better than another, but this one seems to be pretty cool and I would purchase it again.Recommended.

Played with one at a neighbor's house and was blown away by this ball – had to track it down. An absolute blast, like a performance tuned car of basketballs: you can pull off far faster and riskier handling moves with ease even with dust and water on the ball. It's smaller but due to the same weight as a 29.5" ball, you're shot is not affected negatively. Yet I can easily palm the ball and I have very small hands. Fast dribbling through your legs is far easier, again, because of it being smaller. You'll hit more jumpers as there's more margin of error due to the size. Wonderful concept.

It is the official 3x3 basketball, which if you watch or know anything about they use a smaller sized basketball that is the same weight (or very similar) as a full size basketball. Its unique ridges and smaller size allow you to spin it and handle it with greater control. It's fun to use!The only con with the basketball is in order to achieve a similar weight as a full sized basketball, they had to add some extra "meat" onto it, which impacts the bounce slightly.

This 3x3 basketball is amazing. It is a 28.5" basketball but has the weight of a 29.5" basketball. It has the best grip in any basketball I have tried.The grip is hard but soft at the same time. The grip will not poke your fingers If you accidentally poke the basketball. I always have cracked fingers and this basketball is the solution for not putting too much pressure on my fingers when I play. The wave tech. in this basketball is the best out of the market.

Loving this Wilson ball. I play one-on-one with my Nephew. Small enough that he has better control than with a standard ball. But it's still just the right weight for me. It's easier for him to dribble and shoot now. Everything Wilson puts out is high-quality. This ball is no exception, really happy we got it.

This is so easy to grip and pass, and the valleys on the surface help direct water or grime away from the gripping surface on the ridges. It's bright and easy to see in low light or normal daytime. Slightly smaller than regulation, but has a good "feel" to it.

I’m a Bball skill trainer. I love the feel and the weight of the ball especially for younger hoopers. I bought two balls and one will not hold air. Great for outdoor use and as a training ball. The ball is size 6 not a 7

We love this ball. Great feel and playability. The first one only lasted 4 months until the grip wore out. We liked it so much we purchased a second ball, but the durability is not great if that is important to you.

I love this basketball so much it’s actually very very durable for an outdoor ball. It’s diameter is 28.5 but weighs 29.5. It’s great when I got back to regular woman size cause it’s much lighter. This is amazing

This is a.beautiful basketball that comes out of the box properly inflated and.ready to play. It is obviously bright and attractive, and appropriate for all.ages. It wins on any team.

This ball has a really good grip.love playing with it. Shooting is also great, as its weights like a men’s ball, although its size is like a women’s ball.
