TattooMed After Tattoo - Aftercare For Newly Tattooed Skin (100 ml)New tattoos need to be well taken care of - follow the advice of your tattoo artist carefully. This TattooMed product contains good quality moisturising ingredients, including panthenol and Vitamin E, and no nasties. It makes my skin feel fantastic! This is a gentle moisturiser that's branded as being specially-designed for freshly-tattooed skin. However, I can't see anything that's specific to tattoos: so far as I know, any unscented moisturiser will do the trick. The inclusion of the word "med" in the brand name and the logo may reassure potential buyers that there has been medical oversight in the development of the product. That isn't stated, and there's no reason for this to be the case, so seems to be just a marketing gimmick. The product is only supposed to be used for the first five days after getting a tattoo. That means that, unless you're having a really large tattoo done or have tattoos frequently, this tube will probably be too large. Perhaps it should come in smaller sizes so people don't have to spend over a tenner on something they'll only use for a few days.I tried to find out more about the brand and came across a bizarre video featuring a lot of bright yellow and what looked like a man urinating against a wall. Nice! Most information seems to be in Dutch or German, so I didn't get any further. For sale at the time of writing this review at £11.11 (RRP £12.95).

Tattooing has gone from backstreet suspicion to full on acceptance. Who doesn't have a tattoo these days, whether on the sports field or TV? Tattooing has become the hipster fix, be the pain or the pattern who cares! It's here and so you want to make the best of what you spend significant amounts of cash on. Enter associated up-sell type products. My Japanese Enso pattern is small but on a delicate area of the upper wrist, just above where a watch strap would normally fall. Getting it done was a bit sore but basically fine, par for the course, but I was advised to apply >some such< brand they had in stock and that I would likely itch. I mentioned that I had TattooMed already and he just went 'sure, that's great. Ideal!'On it went and I felt soothed. I've applied it several times and been very happy with it. It seems to make a difference and I'm happy, after spending on a vegan tattooist and inks, that this is also vegan. Great job TattooMed. It's arguably a bit pricey for a 'moisturiser', but I guess you pay for the vegan goodness and the reassurance it's been created to do the job rather than being generic.

I ordered this for my son who has sensitive skin, but who has also had a large tattoo done on his arm recently. In the past when he had smaller tattoos done, he has suffered with soreness, inflammation of the surrounding area, and general discomfort. Within a few minutes of applying this cream the soreness and irritation had been relieved, and within a couple of hours the "redness" has also subsided. He has tried other creams in the past, but none have worked so well, and so quickly. It isn't the cheapest product of this type, but for little tattoos you can get by with the smaller and cheaper 25ml tube. The cream is easily absorbed, doesn't leave a greasy mess, and doesn't stain clothes. It gets a 5 star recommendation from my son, and is an excellent product to have on standby if you are thinking of having a tattoo, especially if you also suffer from sensitive skin.

I have previously used Bepanthen nay cream on my tattoos, which has done the job but is very sticky. This TattooMed is really nice because it has the same thick consistency but is a bit less sticky. My only point to raise is the price of the product for how much you get. I’ve just had a full back piece outline done, and I’ve used half the tube in about 5 days of using it 2/3 times a day (I’m a slim female but obviously it’s still a large area). Now my skin has calmed down a bit I’ve switched to normal body butter, and I’m going to save the other half of this tube for when I have my colouring in done. Comparing a slightly smaller tube of Bepanthen at about £8, I don’t think the value of this is bad,but just be aware that if you have a large area of your body tattooed this won’t last for the full 2 or 3 week healing process.

Have used a few moisturisers and ointments during my sleeve process. This cream is not greasy at all, smells nice, can apply multiple times throughout the day. But most notable attribute is this genuinely sped up the healing of my tattoo, first few sessions I used other brands and the process was long with lots of scabbing/itchiness etc. But when I tried this it literally healed my tattoo within a few days? Quite strange but brilliant stuff. I’ve read some of the poor reviews and they mention it burning etc. I think these is due to it being put on a FRESH tattoo. I used aquaphor for the first two days and then this for the following 2 and it was healed completely so recommend this process.Only disadvantage is 25ml won’t last you long at all (maybe 2 days max) if you have something large so best to go for the 100ml.

When you've just had a tattoo, you want something that helps it to heal cleanly, and this seems to do that. I had a couple of other aftercare items that seemed to do a very similar job and had a similar price, there wasn't really much to choose between these products. The smell is neutral, as you'd expect since fragrances may cause irritation, and the consistency is OK - a little thinner than some of the others, but not runny. It could possibly do with a sun block element, but most of the aftercare seems to omit that, so there may be a good reason why they don't add any such chemicals. It seemed to moisturise the skin somewhat, and help with the flaking, but to be honest my tattoo had done most of its flaking by the time I got this so I don't know how good it is on the first few days of healing.

I have been using this since I had my latest tattoo four days ago. It is a fragrance free, white cream. After washing the tattoo with plain soap and water and patting dry, you apply a thin layer of this cream. It instantly feels soothing, it does not sink in too fast which is good and there has been no itching at all so it's keeping that at bay too, so far.The packaging does allow quite a lot to be dispensed at once and you only need a very small amount so that's a bit wasteful. This has also caused the lid and opening to be gunged up so I recommend a quick wipe with a clean tissue after use and then store upside down.So far so good with the healing of my tattoo. No infection,no large scabs that would pull the colour out and no itching.I would use this cream again.

A tattoo aftercare cream isn't something you would buy every day, and having paid for a permanent design, it's important to get something that will care for it well. Ordinarily, this would be nappy rash cream ... but a dedicated gel that's been made for the purpose has to be a good thing. This cream is a relatively thick, white cream - with no scent. So should be suitable for all skin types. The tube is a sensible 100ml size, and should be sufficient for all but really large tattoos. Needs to be applied on a regular basis throughout the day to keep your new tattoo moist and prevent scabbing. The blurb states that the specially developed formula supports skin regenerateion with its invisibleprotective layer - I can confirm that my skin certainly likes it!

I've started using TattooMed products with a lot of my clients now and it seems amazing with really good results. I've had no negative feedback or excess irritations from any of my customers. So many products on the market at the moment that I don't really buy into but this Vegan friendly company is one of the best I've dealt with. Brilliant product along with amazing ethos and company ethics too. Perfect if you actually want to take care of your fresh tattoo, if you're getting the right instructions from your artist. Feels nice on the skin and companied with the other products in their range my clients seem to be healing quicker, better and with much less irritation.Strongly recommended so far! Thanks TattooMed.

This has come at a perfect time after recently having a tattoo on my leg done. It was my first tattoo so I was unsure initially about the aftercare and was told to use Bepanthen which is primarily a nappy ointment but apparently it's soothing, cheap and does the job but being offered TattooMed was perfect. It's a decent sized tube and you don't need a lot, it rubs in nicely and feels very soothing, it does leave a slightly greasy feeling after but I feel like my tattoo is protected as it feels like an extra layer almost. I've had minimal itching and my tattoo is healing well. I'd definitely buy this again and at the moment Amazon is offering a £5 voucher off it so it's definitely worth it.Recommended!

This cream is somewhat similar to bepanthen, which I've also made positive experiences with in the past, but I prefer this one. It's less greasy, so the tattoo doesn't feel as itchy during the healing process, and the cream won't stick to clothing as much. I've also found this one a bit easier to apply since bepanthen can change its consistency a bit depending on the temperature.Bepanthen has previously also stained a shirt of mine yellow, whereas I've not had any staining with this cream. If your skin gets extremely dry, bepanthen might be a better choice, but my tattoos were well moisturised with this cream. Overall, it's my favourite tattoo aftercare cream I've tried so far.

I purchased the smaller 25ml just to try as I was about to do a tattoo. I usually use the butter/ointment types for aftercare which do work, but the redness, soreness and swelling seems to take days to ease. So after finishing the tattoo, wrapping it and waiting 3 hours, I showered, washed the tattoo, then after drying, applied the cream. It rubs in well and soothes the soreness, I applied it 3 times the day after, then on day 2 the redness and swelling had almost disappeared! I’m on day 3 as I write this, there’s literally no soreness to the area at all and the tattoo is healing great !I would highly recommend this cream to anyone !

I only have a small tattoo which I had done a couple of days ago on my bicep. While it wasn't overly sore, the skin was raised a little and rather red around it and was a bit more sensitive than usual. Applying this TattooMed After Tattoo cream 24 hours after having it done has eased the sensitivity to next to nothing within a day. Also where the flesh was raised it has already ca;med right down and returned to normal. There's still some redness around the tattoo but it noticeably faded. The cream itself is absorbed quickly and isn't greasy and, for me anyway, seems to do the job. I'll certainly be using it again on my next Tat.

Overall I'm very happy with this Tattoo cream.I had to wait a bit before tesitng it as my appointment wasn't for a month after I got this.I discussed it with the artist working on my arm and he took a look and said it'd be fine vs the usual stuff they recommend. I applied it fairly often, and it worked well. It's super greasy, which is good as it means you don't need much but is bad as it doesn't entirely soak into your skin - which might also be the point...Overall it was good, it wasn't as soothing as other creams I've tried but it did keep the area in good condition. I'd use it again.

The other-half got a small tattoo (along with his friends – the action of the drunken pack). He definitely regrets what he has done – bright, glowing red and extremely hot to the touch add a number of blood test and big bags of antibiotics all round. The premises were licenced (it was shut down after we made complaints and the inspector found dirty premises, dirty equipment and dirty practice). He willingly applies this because it has a soothing and cooling effect on the tattooed area. Anything that eases the pain and discomfort is extremely welcome and this little tube is doing the job.
