4 stars - a fairly standard portable drive does what it has to well but by no means revolutionary.The metal option isn't needed other than aesthetics (which i like).Included is:A USB 3 cable that is compatible with USB 2.0 portsMac and windows software ready to install off the drive.My drive arrived in NTFS (windows) format. Readable by a Mac but you will need to use either the included WD disk utility or Apples own to reformat to HFS (Mac) or ExFAT (cross platform) using the 'Erase' section (not a worry as the drive should not have any data other than the included utilities at this stage).I have attached a screenshot of the Black Magic Disk Speed Test using USB3The box mentions cloud back up

I wanted a external HDD for my Xbox One and when I saw this I thought it was ideal. I have had this now for a few weeks and it is perfect, it is small, discreat and very fast and as it is powered via the usb cable means I don't have to find any additional power socket. It was simple to set up and within minutes I had started to move my games and apps to the new drive. I cannot recommend this enough as it is perfect for the extra storage space required once your library of games exceeds the space on the standard 500GB Xbox One.

Purchased by my husband for our sons Xbox one, our son had used most of the memory on his Xbox one so we got him this 2TB external hard drive, it it excellent, no fuss in setting up, just plugged into the Xbox ones USB port and the console recognised it was attached and away he went, transferred all his game save data onto the ext hard drive, cannot believe how simple it was, would definitely recommend this product

Great drive, feels premium and solid, bundled software is also good.Read and write speeds are where they should be at 115MB/s sequential read and write. Formatted to exfat straight away with no problems to allow read/write access on both PCs and Macs.Drive shows as 1.81TB in Windows once formatted in exfatI have included a screen capture of the crystaldiskmark benchmark software for reference.

Does what it supposed to do, store data. Since I have a Mac, I had to reformat it into Mac format. The only issue I found is in windows in bootcamp, when formatted in Mac format it does not load in the windows explorer, but it is accessible through administrative tools, disk management, select drive partition right click and explore. Don't know why it does this, but it works though

As my xbox one was quickly running out of space I decided to get this item to expand my space for installing new xbox-one games. Using this external HD was simple and easy with usb plug and play. The xbox-one console basically formatted it and did the rest of the setup automatically. Would recommend for anyone running out of space on their pc or xbox-one console etc.

I carry this around everywhere. I have encrypted it and use it as my travel companion. My previous western digital passport drive has lasted 6 years and I would plug/unplug it daily at work and at home so this was a no-brainer as my upgrade option. I should mention that the old drive is still with me and fully functional but space was not enough anymore.

sadly this product appears to have been deletd from WD's range the design is very stylish and handsome only now available in 2TB version if you want the 4 TB version it now comes in a hideous fushy metal case ugly and impossible the keep clean. Lets hope WD learn from this extraordinary lapse of judgement and supply these again in the 4 tb version.

Very stylish design, looks beautifull. I do not give 5 stars because the transfer speed from my computer's (Dell Alienware) CD drive to the hard drive is slow (around 1.70Mb/second) and I have USB 3 connection. However if transfering from internal hard drive the speed is aropund 50Mb/second

Purchased to increase capacity of my Xbox One, can't fault it, plug it in, follow the Xbox on-screen instructions to format and then play as normal. You are offered the option of saving to the console or the Passport Ultra and can transfer all content across if you wish. Excellent product.

This is a fantastic hard drive as I own 2 my Passport hard drives...Sadly these are now discontinued and have a rubbish new design and they are just horrible.. WD PLEASE bring back these designs and not the newish ones...I want to buy more but the new design is simply horrible☹️

Great item, well made and very quite. I have 4 other ones and I have no complaints at all. Great for portable storage either music or videos. Have used with my TV. Just plugged in and watched my movies and recorded to it also.

Arrived on time and works a treat, nice and compact and made of quality material.A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.My son is one happy boy now he can store more games on his Xbox one.

Looks great, feels great and works just fine. Alas, I'm USB 2.0 at the moment, so it's not as fast as it could be. But when I get my new MacBook Pro... Then it will be much better.

Another of my trusted WD HDD, as good as rest of them transfer rate, easy to use just perfect, I have many external HDD and all are by WD due to my passion of video editing.
