It has been five days and this thing is surviving pretty well. We have a 65lb hound/boxer mix that tears through most toys but this is holding up. It is starting to show some minimal wear along the sides where the logo is but we also let him use this and the jive as chew toys if he wants to. It does float very well. One criticism is if your dog does not have a great release this ball is absolutely miserable to try to wrestle out of their mouth once it is wet, and once it is wet with drool and water it is super slick and difficult to hold on to. More than a few times he has started to release the ball and it slid in his mouth and fell out and then it turns into a two person and a dog scramble for a slippery drool ball. When he does inevitably destroy this I will definitely be taking them up on the one time replacement.Edited to add this, months later:My dog managed to break his first one apart in about six weeks of nearly constant chewing. I did use the one-time replacement to get a second yellow one, and rather than letting him chew it 24/7 I took it away from him at home and it became his car and dog park toy. The second one lasted from early December to mid-April, though by mid-April it had nearly broken in half and pieces were falling off. I ordered a third ball in cranberry at the beginning of May and that one only made it two weeks as a car toy. I've had various levels of politeness from their customer service. I emailed them to let them know my newest ball only lasted two weeks with minimal chewing, asked if maybe the colors had different densities or if they had suggestions on which Boz balls would be best, and got this in response:"We do the one time replacement to try and get you a stronger toy that will last longer, once a dog learns how to damage a toy it will only continue to happen faster and faster."When I reached out to them on Facebook I got an apology for the way that the rep responded and was told to definitely utilize the replacement form if I felt that this newest one had broken apart faster, which I will be doing.

I'm using this for trigger point therapy. I have hip bursitis, problems with my left side including IT-band and left of my sacrum; I get sharp pain, muscle spasms, and a feeling like acid is being swished around inside, plus a "rolling over" of my tendon, over the bone. so for me, this is a good purchase. The ball has some give and some texture; for my purpose, this is great. If, however, you have a dog that likes to chew, see the lumpy surface area? That is going to entice a chewer to do just that, sink teeth and rip it up.Also, if you have a dog that has what is referred to as a "hard mouth," which pitbulls and many other breeds have, so I would not recommend this ball for those two types,i.e. the chewer or the chomper. For small dogs or those with soft mouths who enjoy fetch, the ones you love to run after the ball and bring it back to you for another toss, this would be a great purchase and should hold up.My ball arrived a bit dirty so my husband cleaned it because I'm injured, having to move gingerly. I asked him to scrub it with some warm water and a little bit of peroxide to use as an anti-bacterial, which he did and now it's great for when I am not having spasms and can start using it.And last, as I wrote in the heading, there is no smell at all, nothing like some of the reviewers have noted about other balls, which is why I got this instead of other balls.I did my research. For the price, the lack of toxic odor, and my needs--yours too, if the ball and your dog are a great fit, I recommend getting one and then quickly--before the price can go up, getting more.

It's still in one piece (for now). I am surprised to see that with no supervision, this ball is still in one piece. It's been about 2 weeks since I purchased this. I was kinda hesitant to get it when I read the reviews. I have been getting the chuck-it balls (whistlers and regular ones) and they would be in pieces in couple days IF I put it away when we're not home. My sheltie-GSD mix can chew up one in 15 minutes. Then I saw West Paw balls. I got 2 of the JIVE balls, they are good as still in one piece. There's a slight problem that JIVE balls are heavy balls. If you kick it, your toes hurt. I am glad I gave the Air Boz a try. So far, there's not even a scratch on the bright yellow ball and the dogs want to have it to themselves.I purchased another one.One suggestion though, I wish they came in bright colors like lime or pink. The other 2 colors are too dark for the dogs to see and too dark for human to search for it when it rolls under the bushes and patio furniture.

First of all, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN INDESTRUCTIBLE DOG TOY!!! Any item that is allowed to be gnawed at and torn will break at some point. So I hate when people review items without that in mind.Anyway, for a dog toy, this is one of the most durable I've ever encountered. I have a GSD who can potentially be a huge shredder, but I trained him how to properly play with different toys and he has certain items that are just for gnawing. This is for playing outdoor fetch. It's incredibly bouncy and has enough inertia when moving to go great distances. We've used this on a near daily basis for about 3 years now and he still has barely put a small puncture hole in it. Easy to wash, too.One of the best investments I've ever made in terms of stuff for my dog. Tennis balls last him maybe 2 minutes before he crushes them to bits. Plus, the rubbery material doesn't catch sand and gritty dirt so it won't wear down his teeth like the surface of a tennis ball would.

Our dog loves playing fetch and as she likes to chew her balls like chewing gum, we needed something sturdy that she could not break in a day or two. Also, I noticed the surface of her old tennis ball would irritate her mouth and on further reading about tennis balls and possible toxic chemicals and "fuzz burns" I decided it was worth investing in something safer and more durable. So far, this ball has been great! She will "chew" it for a few moments during play, but hasn't done any damage to the ball. It fits into the chuck-it we use for fetch and the ball flies incredibly far plus has a great bounce to it. I haven't seen any irritation to my dog's mouth or tongue since switching to the Boz ball,so we are very pleased with it and definitely worth the investment. Also easy to keep clean and bright color helps us to find it in the grass or bushes. We love the West Paw toys for our dog as they are super durable, safe for our dog and environmentally responsible.

My dog is weird, I'll admit it. She doesn't care for tennis balls or other normal toys. Her favorite toys tend to be my kid's stuffed animals.... but she promptly and meticulously removes the plastic eyes and nose and then abandons the poor animal along side the carnage. My poor kids have been traumatized by her antics. We have tried countless things to satiate her desires and this ball was recommended to us by other owners of retrievers with normal fetishes like tennis balls and frisbees. Welp, here's a pro/con list:PROS:it bounces, like really a lot.it floatsit's squishyCONS:It pattern on the outside of it resembles brains which is why I chose yellow and not pinkit is very expensiveAlthough it is a great ball I think my dog just is not toy driven enough to take interest. Now if only we could find a stuffed animal tough enough that she can't pull it apart! (We've tried them all.....)

My Lab can destroy a tennis ball in about 2 hours. I have had this first one for about 3 weeks and with daily use, still no divots or any significant marks. Floats very well. Folks at the dog park want to steal it! I have bought a second one. It is a little on the pricey side but hey, IT's FOR YOUR DOG! Only the best for him. UPDATE 4FEB2020: one ball is starting to get some open cracks although it is still serviceable and still floats. I will continue to use it for outdoors only as if he goes swimming with it, I don't want lake water coming out of the hollow space in the ball. I think where the "downfall" of this ball is letting him lie there and chew on it until he tires. It is really not a chew toy ,especially for a big dog (because they will eventually trash anything give that concentrated effort.) It is a good fetch ball and he prefers it over standard tennis balls.

These are great! Soft enough to grab onto but not so hard they hurt (like the rock solid WestPaw Jive - those could be dangerous). The small is the size of a tennis ball and works in a chuck-it. The large is about the size of a shot put but lightweight and pretty easy to throw. They bounce like crazy, however, so I have to be careful not to go over the fence. We usually play with the large Air Boz since they seem to like those best. We also throw them (gently!) in the house. So far they all hold up great. Float, too.We leave the Jive balls out so they can chew on those (not a whole lot of interest) but these get put away because the dogs tend to carry them off and lose them in the house. So far I have one small and two large, may get another large in case one gets lost. Excellent product!

One of the best dog toy purchases I've made! Our 75 pound GSP LOVES tennis balls & equally enjoys ripping the felt off of them. He does tend to destroy anything & everything when it comes to toys - "tough" toys, rubber balls, plush toys, etc. We received the large Chuckit glow ball as a gift & that's been a huge hit - & is still in one piece almost a year later! It's a tad small for our pup so I wanted to purchase something else along those lines, just in a larger size & a little different for some variety of toys. I ultimately decided on this large Zogoflex. It is the perfect size for Porter - it's small enough that he can pick it up & carry it around but it's big enough to where he can't get a good grip on the thing to chew it to oblivion.Would highly recommend!

This ball is just awesome. We have a playful lab pit mix and she typically goes through a tennis ball in less than an hour. This ball feels like a quality ball, this is tough and she absolutely adores it. Its got a great bounce to it, its thick and sort of spongy (though not really) she can get her teeth into it slightly but not enough to start shredding it and it springs back immediately without any indentations so far. Just a really nice ball. I came back to throw another one in my "save for later" items because I will definitely be buying this one again if we ever lose this one. This is a keeper, one of the tougher ones out there. I'm thrilled with the purchase (and so is she).Kudos to the manufacturer.

I have mastiffs, danes, wolfhounds--all the big doggies. And when these cuddle-titans play, they play rough. Squeak toys, tennis balls, soccer balls, nope nope nope. None survive.By luck, a friend bought one of these and her pup wasn't interested. It became my titan clan's favorite ball. If the other toys I mentioned lasted a month, that was a long life. The west paws ball has lasted over a year! I had to by a replacement because they lost the original in a wild rabbit hole (I won't stick my arm down a hole). If not for that, this one might have lasted another year or so.They do chew it down, so it's not indestructible, but it resists their big teeth so much better than anything else I've bought.

This is the best ball I have ever purchased for my dog. She is a heavy chewer and she chews tennis balls apart almost immediately when playing. She hates solid rubber balls and won't play with them. This ball has a similar squishiness to it like a tennis ball, but she can't, and I mean can't, tear it up. She has tried repeatedly and the first one we got her has lasted for months. It is starting to show a little wear and tear, but very little. The ball is washable, floats, and can be returned to the company for recycling. It is the size of a tennis ball and fits fine in my thrower. It is a little sticky in the thrower and you have to throw a little harder, but that isn't a big deal.

These balls, I have purchased 8 of them are the best you can get. The are very bouncy, indestructible, and easy to see. The reason I had to purchase so many is that one of our dogs likes to hide them. He has a stash somewhere, but I haven't found it yet. They are always used in a fenced in yard so I know they aren't outside the fence. We have tried many different balls, but they are usually torn apart. Some balls, are too heavy and hard for a dog to catch without doing damage. These West Paw Design Zogoflex Air boz Dog Balls are undoubtedly the best if you like to throw the ball for your dog. They also fit in the "chuc er" that I have to really send the ball far and high.

Well, I like the ball, but none of my 3 dogs are as enthused about it, as they are in other balls and toys. Because my dogs play rough with toys, tugging and chewing on them, especially if it is one of the favorites, I buy quite a few options so not much attention is paid on one. Otherwise, it is inevitable that they won't last long.So right now, I don't know how durable the ball will be. Often a toy will be ignored for awhile, then suddenly becomes a fave. I'll know better when they really sink their jaws around it how durable it will be. When I throw it for them, they might bring it back a time or two, but will usually go grab another toy option after a few throws.

My dog loves this ball. I think its durability depends on the type of chewer your dog is. My dog likes to hold this in her mouth and chew it like gum, and it doesn't crack or break apart. However, we brought it with us once to the dog park and a smaller dog with smaller teeth started to pick at it and was able to break off teeny pieces of the ball. It's not as squishy as the squeaky blue Chuckit ball, which is what I was hoping for, but my dog likes it almost as much. She had to have a tooth pulled several months ago, and she uses that tooth gap now to comfortably rest this ball so she can carry it around with her everywhere!
