I've had several laptop rucksacks over the years and this one is right up there, but let down a little because:1) There is limited space for document storage - my old TechAir one was great for holding A4 documents, magazines, folders etc. The storage in this back is geared towards kit/gear and not documents.2) It's supposed to be for up to 15.6" laptops, but my 15.6" HP laptop sticks out quite a bit from the protective padding, meaning that part of it isn't protected properly. Again, my old TechAir was much better for this.3) There are no pen holders - the TechAir and other bags have these.Other than that though, it's solidly made and there are plenty of kit storage pockets etc, though some of them are a bit small. It also has some good points, like the quick access pocket at the top, which is great for keys, work passes etc.Overall, I'd say it's not quite as good as the TechAir bag I previously had due to the points above, but it's still a good bag and I'm pretty happy with it.

Needed a bag with space for my uni work and also my laptop with a high level of protection for both things. This bag contains enough space for me to put in my lab coat, all my folders, my laptop and all my needed accessories with ease. Due to the number of pockets and extras, all my work is organised and can be found easily without me having to spend minutes looking through the bag. The high material and build quality means that I can be sure that everything is protected, all the way from bumps and minor falls to severe weather. The foam padding on the back and straps also ensures comfortable fit regardless of weight.I would highly recommend this bag to anyone wanting a bag for study purposes that requires large amounts of paperwork and also those looking for a laptop carrier. The durability and practicality of this bag definitely make it worth the price tag.

bought it 4 years ago for a new job, which involves lots of traveling. this thing has been packed and unpacked an unreasonable amount of times and still looks the same as when I bought it. not a single fray, scuff or lasting mark on it.space in the back pocket for 2 laptops, very large central pocket for chargers and books (ive even managed to mash a ski jacket in here one particularly warm winter day). from pocket has space for pens/USB drives and other misc cables. side mesh pockets don't stretch far enough to fit a drinks bottle in if the backpack is full but that's no major issue. iPOD pocket is a nice touch with a waterproof earphone cable exit hole.draw straps on the shoulder harnesses have plastic finger pulls, which are ideal for hanging shirts off when waiting to check in at hotels.

Fantastic bag, loads of little compartments for little things (pens, swissarmy knife, lip balm, chocolate). It fits my 15.4" laptop with room to spare in the compartment right at the back so its nice and safe, there's also a bit of room in there for a flat A4 folder and a refill pad). Good strong straps, nice and padded and the bag is waterproof (my laptop was fine when I had to walk home in the rain). Only problem is, my laptop is quite heavy and with all my paperwork the bag gets quite heavy, it might have been useful to have a chest strap or a waist strap so all of the weight isn't on your shoulders. Otherwise, brilliant bag - really love how it has a separate pocket for your SwissArmy pen knife.

This backpack is simply fantastic. I spent quite a while scouring the internet searching for a backpack that would hold my Macbook Pro (15inch) safely, with all of my other equipment (video & sound). Not only does the bag do that, but it does it with plenty of room to spare! I still have the biggest pouch availible in the bag in which i could pack a weeks worth of clothes (or anything else that could amount to that mass). This is a fantastic product, and if you're unsure of spending £40 for the price, you should ask yourself if the price of your laptop is worth £40 to keep it secure. If you're going traveling i can't think of a better option.

I looked at various bags and choose this one for uni. It is great for carrying lots of books and a laptop. The weight is spread evenly across my back and it does not feel heavy when i carry it.Very nice colour and the handle is strong.Been using it for a week now, the straps could fit better on my shoulders. I noticed a few loose threads by the straps and the laptop section, not sure if it normal if it continues i shall exchange it.I would recommend the bag as its spacious but it does tend to lean forward would be good if there the bag had some type of rubber/plastic feet to stop the leaning and protect the bottom from getting dirty.

I bought the larger one of these for myself to eliminate checked in luggage on short business trips, I took it to India for two weeks (with no other luggage) admittedly with hotel laundering along the way but even so with chargers, laptop, ipad and clothes etc its no mean feat. Three of us at work have them and they are jokingly referred to as "the bags that cannot be filled". I was happy with it and then subsequently ordered this slightly smaller one for my son as a school bag (they have to carry a ridiculous weight of school books considering its the 21st century), he loves it as well.

I was a bit cautious about buying a laptop bag from the internet as I couldn't look at it and see what it could do for myself so had to rely on other peoples comments. I'm glad I did.. this bag is great. It has lots of room for a lot off stuff. You have the outside water pocket, you have the laptop slot, you have an MP3 holder (with earphone hole to the outside), you have pens, batteries, cards, wallet.. the list goes on... you also have room for clothes and towels in there.Well worth the money. Recommended to all.

I have been using this for several months now. It is very comfortable to wear with a 2.5 kg laptop plus plugs etc in it. I have a bad back so have avoided rucksacks but got but fed up of the wheelie bag and gave this a shot. It is really good. The compartments are spacious and sensibly proportioned. Waterproof. Zips very smooth. Good protection for both my 15.6" laptop and pad. Can carry a set of clothes, all kit and shoes and papers. Can't remember what I paid but feel it is has been worth it.

I was dissapointed in the shortage of space in the bag as you only really have the middle part of the bag where you can store your books, clothes, etc. The top part is used for your laptop and the last part is for small gadgets, like your pencil case, bits and pieces of paper. However, overall I was really happy at how comfortable it was, hardly any strain on my shoulders, I could stuff in a lot of heavy things and still be able to carry it at ease. I am happy i bought this product :)

This is our 3rd Swissgear laptop backpack bag. First one being 8 year old still going great after numerous overseas trip and daily usage same bag has seen 3 generations of laptop, second 5 year old has been through tough usage hence for 3rd laptop rather than using free bag came with it we went for this and I am certain it’s good investment. This one is though much batter and cost effective than previous two, lots of inside room and bigger side pockets and top zipped pocket is bonus

I looked around for ages to find a good quality laptop rucksack and wasn't disappointed when this was delivered. The quality is excellent, especially for the price, it is comfortable and has more than enough storage to suit my needs - laptop, iPad, A4 book, files and all of the various power cables and chargers I lug around. If I could criticise anything then it would be that there are too many pockets, I sometimes struggle to find where I put things!

Have owned for 6 months now, and cannot be complimentary enough about this backpack. I frequently have laptop, iPad, mains adapter for laptop, a good 6" height of foolscap files, and a decent sized lunchbox too all in it at once. And it's comfortable, and so far, completely robust, and hard wearing. Large numbers of little pockets allow use of bits & pieces, pens, bus cards .... On and on , it just hoovers everything up.

This does exactly what I wanted it to do. I cycle to work and then between sites for meetings and this has space to take a laptop and some papers with a separate compartment for a change of clothes and further space for pump, spare inner tubes, mobile etc. I can even attach the helmet to the back and still access the zipped compartments. It does make it bulky but then I'm using it to carry a lot of stuff. Recommended.
