I've been using Weleda Skin Food for decades. The original thicker cream for colder weather to protect against the elements and the Light cream for daily use. I use the Skin Food Light on my face and neck. It absorbs beautifully. The texture is perfect, the essential oils blend creates the most heavenly aroma. You only need a small amount to cover the whole face and neck. It's spreads really nicely.The price is fine, a little cheaper would be ideal. My only real problem is the packaging. As far as I know, it's not recycle-able. But it will depend from country to country I'm sure.TOP TIP: When you can no longer squeeze the cream out, cut off the end and access the rest of the cream that way.

I had been using Simple (the brand) light moisturiser on dry skin on my face but it never really worked that well so I decided to try something new and was looking for something without titanium dioxide or parabens. This had good reviews so I decided to give it a go and I'm not disappointed. Upon first opening it there was a lovely light smell like lime. Its a little thicker than simple light, which is great. it seems to soak in easily and works really well in smoothing out any flaky dry area. A few hours after putting it on in the morning and the dry skin still looks smooth. Lovely product.

This is a fabulous product. I couldn't praise it enough. I have extremely dry skin and this is brilliant. The bonus is that it smells divine! If, like me, and you have a fringe you will definitely need to clip it out of the way as this cream is a little on the thick side going on and the last thing you want is your fringe plastered to your forehead! I have been using this product for nearly 2 years now and I couldn't recommend it enough, and the price makes it such great value for money. This is proof that not all skincare products that work have to have a high end price tag. Very happy.

I can only echo what other Amazon reviewers have to say about this cream. I haven't tried the original formulation as I am sure it would be too heavy for my dehydrated oily/combination, sensitive skin, however as this cream is often touted as a dupe for the uber-expensive Creme de la Mer (except for the actives La Mer also contains) I had to try it to complement my more expensive anti-ageing day cream. I am really impressed as it smells gorgeous and leaves the skin so soft. I couldn't possibly use it during the day as it is just a tad too heavy. But as a night cream, perfect!

I love this rich cream! It's perfect for my skin and smells heavenly. I use it in the morning after I cleanse my face and it keeps my face moisturized the whole day. It's great as a makeup base and can also be used as a highlighter gives a beautiful glow. In the evening I use the original Weleda skin food which is even more rich and gives my face the perfect amount of moisture through the night.I will highly recommend this cream and all the Weleda products great quality at an affordable price. Try it out, you will definitely not be disappointed.

Before the “light” arrived I’ve been using the original one, which is proper heavy and not easy to distribute over large areas. Though I wanted to try a lighter version and I like it. It’s winter now and the face quickly absorbed the new formula. Yet it’s still very rich and I would not use it in summer, unless purposely or overnight. So currently it is a great fit daily and the original one I will be using for the smaller targeted areas or as a mask. I do not wear any make up. Overall it has a pharmacy remedy feel which I like for a change.

I love this product. I have used this product in the past after wanting a lighter version of the original skin food that I could use in the daytime on my face and more regularly ( I still have the original and use it on any dry errors and on my face occasionally at night). This has been a repurchased product and I brought it on amazon this time as they had the better price. I would say this cream does have a strong smell which I personally love but if you didn’t I could easily see you not wanting to use it.

I thought this was a good day face moisturiser as find the original version abit thick and sticky thou I use the original as a night cream by warming it in my hands first to apply it as a face mask or night cream when I need it and skin food light as a day moisturiser soon after I get up as I prefer to let it absorb before I apply makeup .and the citrusy smell wakes up my senses lol. Feels great for my skin so it’s worth working into my skin routine . Great stuff and it doesn’t cost the earth . Love it !

I don't change very often my skincare routine but I recently needed a little boost, especially for the winter nights and after trying this product for a couple of months, I know I will always have one in my bathroom or to go on a trip. Super moisturising & hydrating for my sensitive face, absolutely no bad reaction, very little is enough to cover my face + neck + hands. However, it is a bit too rich for me to use during the day. Also doing miracles for dry patches on my hands and knees.

I've tried several expensive brands, however Weleda Skin food has proven to be the best compared to them. The regular Skin Food (dark green) is quite thick and more useful for dry skins during the winter. I agree that version does feel very heavy & greasy. The light green Skin Food version is very good for the rest of the year. No breakouts for me and it keeps my skin feeling moisturised for most of the day. It's probably cheaper in other outlets though.

If you’re looking for a a moisturizer that you can use as an every day I would definitely recommend this one. It’s light enough that it doesn’t leave your face feeling too sticky but it keeps your face hydrated throughout the day. I use to original version at night. It’s a bit thicker and a little sticky but works like a dream to keep my face hydrated throughout the night. A great brand if you have dryer skin!

The smell is very citrusy, might be a tad strong for some but I quite like it. It is very moisturising despite being the light version.It is not that thick and rubs in nicely. Doesn't sink into the skin that fast, though, and can take some time and rubbing into the skin but when it does it makes your skin feel very soft and supple, perfect for under makeup for people with dry to very dry skin types.

My new favourite moisturiser, seems to be around the same price in high street shops as on Amazon. I have the original one and light and use the original around my nose which is particularly dry and light everywhere else on my face and neck. It’s really lovely, smells great and is a good base for make up. I also use it on my 7 year olds hands that are prone to cracking in winter and it works wonders.

HOWEVER now we have skin food light - hurray. The same quality product but in a lotion. It applies to the skin with ease - absorbs super fast without leaving you feeling greasy and the same gorgeous smell. Highly recommend.
