At £8.95 for a 200ml bottle at time of writing, this is a more luxurious bath product than I would normally use (I'm more of a Radox-from-the-pound-shop kind of girl normally). So for starters, I was a little disappointed in the packaging. Weleda have been going since 1921, originally using herbs from their own gardens and co-founded by Rudolf Steiner (the philosopher whose education methods are still favoured by middle class hippie parents). This healthy Teutonic heritage shows through in the packaging - it's all very plain, no frills, and the bath milk itself in a heavy green glass bottle that seems to hark back to and old-school apothecary shop. However, just in case that makes it all sound a bit nostalgic and appealing, there really is no concession to ornamentation at all, this is as workaday as one can get.But it's what's inside that counts, after all, and this is a lovely bath milk. No bubbles and your bath water will indeed appear "milky" or one might even say "murky". But the smell is sensational - I use about 4 capfuls for a bath and it fills the bathroom with the scent of a Mediterranean citrus grove, perfect for a relaxing bath. The scent lasts as long as I soak and is absolutely delicious - one could almost be tempted to try drinking the milk straight from the bottle as an aperitif! The list of ingredients is reassuringly short. It claims to be good following physical exertion and also for gently moisturising the skin. I find any hot bath lovely after physical exertion and can't honestly claim this makes any real difference other than adding a lovely fragrance. That being said, I do tend to get dry, irritable skin (especially in winter) and I think this might be soothing it a bit. Would probably need to use it for much longer to be sure, and not sure whether I will splash out (no pun intended) on future bottles - though if my skin flares up once this finishes, it would certainly be worth it to me to buy more. Will update if that turns out to be the case. In the meantime, I'll enjoy every drop of this!

This is a rich, luxuriant bathing product and a few little capfuls of this turn a plain bath into a quite indulgent moisturising bath with a small dose of aromatherapy thrown in.When you first pour it in, it doesn’t do much- no fizz, no bubbles, no instant overpowering smell- but after a minute or so you realise that the lemon scent, which is somewhere between real lemons and artificial bathroom cleaning lemon scent (but better than I’ve just made it sound), has taken effect and has started calming you down. The water itself does go murky, which might not be to everyone’s taste. There’s a noticeable effect on your skin afterwards as well, there’s a definite moisturising effect that doesn’t feel too oily like it sometimes can with bath bomb-type products. The glass bottle and lid remind me of a medicine like milk of magnesia more than a typical luxury bathroom product that I’d expect to find in a plastic bottle. Strangely there are no English instructions on the label, so with my German being limited I initially hazarded a guess at three capfuls per bath, which turned out to be a bit too mild; on the second attempt, five capfuls was much better. At five capfuls per bath, it will last a reasonable length of time, so ten quid for a bottle (current asking price) really isn’t too bad for a premium product.

I really like this. I have a weakness for the smell of citrus and this bathroom milk doesn't disappoint. As it's bathroom milk, and not bubble bath, don't, er, expect bubbles. It has a delightful smell however, and softens the skin. It's for a relaxing bath time. It's also not suitable for shower gel - as noted below.Whilst the instructions are not in English, on the product bottle at least, it seems 3 or 4 capfuls should be used. The outer box does have English on it, but not on how much to use. I assume it's capfuls though. Certainly 3-4 appears on the bottle, but I suppose it could be some other measure. The product is far more liquid than standard bubble bath so you could easily empty the whole bottle into the bath!So slosh with caution. And this is not shower gel.More on the bottle. I has a very medicinal look - green glass and simple labels - sans English. I think the packing is actually understated. They should make more of the wonderful smell! The outer box says '...evokes memories of a Mediterranean summer's day.' Absolutely right! Give it a try.

My wife loves the occasional soak in the bath, so here is her review.Be aware that this is a bath MILK - it will turn the water slightly cloudy and there will be no bubbles or foam. If you value using natural products on your skin then always go for non foaming products - it takes a lot of chemical additives to give us bubbles and froth. The 200ml glass bottle comes boxed, and has a serious "medicinal" look to the packaging. Not so the product, this bath milk smells delicious, reminiscent of lemon groves at blossom time. Just the scent makes your bath especially relaxing. In addition it really does soften and moisturise the skin, even though it is non-oily, so there is no residue left in the bath tub.Made by Weleda , a long established German company with good eco credentials, the label on the bottle can be peeled back to reveal the English instructions which recommend using 4 - 5 capsful per bath. In practice I have found that 3 is sufficient to give good results, making it a bit more economical for regular use at around £9 per bottle.

I have tested a great number of Weleda products and many of them are very good. This product is a rich bath milk which smells of citrus fruits. You simply run a bath, put 3 to 4 caps of the milk into the running water. There are no bubbles, no foam, the milk simply mixes with the water to make a lovely smelling bath. The nice thing about this product is that it helps to moisturise the skin. You get out of the bath and your skin has a delicate smell of lime and lemon, whilst feeling amazingly soft. My only niggle is that the product instructions are in German and French. This is not a problem for me, as I can read both languages, but I do feel if a company like Weleda is selling into English-speaking countries, the instructions could correspond to that language.Overall this is a nice product and I am happy to recommend it.

This is a very luxurious bath product.Do not be tempted to just pour it in (as I would normally do) but the instructions say pour in 4-5 caps once the bath has filled and is ready and so for the purposes of the review this is what I did. And it was perfect. The scent is incredible, it's a citrus aroma that fills up the house just by pouring the small amount of milk in.It was cleansing and moisturising at the same time and I would definitely be looking at other "aromas" even at a high cost (this wouldn't be an every day bath treat but certainly a special occasion one) I consider it to be worth the higher than normal price.

Oh this is gorgeous! So heady with citrus fragrance, it really livens up your senses and feels very energising. The instructions suggest 3-4 capfuls....blimey...it isn't that big a bottle and quite pricey and I think that is a bit much. I tried it with 2 caps the first time and I have to say it was lovely. It turns the water a milky colour and leaves your skin nourished and smelling of lemon groves!Try using some in a bowl to soak your feet for 20 minutes...especially if you spend a lot of time on your feet at work or after a run. It's lovely and leaves your skin soft too!Pricey, but so worth it!

Pretty standard cardboard box hides a dark green heavy glass bottle. Looks incredibly retro and old-school. When you open the bottle the smell is amazing. Such a fresh citrus scent without smelling like bathroom cleaner. If you like bubbles in your bath this is not the product for you but if you love a luxurious feeling bath water (and don't mind a milky-looking bath water) then you need to try this. Very relaxing bath that leaves your skin feeling so soft. One word of warning though - because of the moisturising content of the bath milk you may find the bath incredibly slippy.

Beautiful bath milk. I use this in my toddlers bath to help him to relax before bedtime. I can't say it seems to have much of a relaxing effect on him but it smells absolutely gorgeous - a true lavender fragrance unlike many others. It also makes his skin even softer than usual (something I didn't think possible!). I use it in his baby bath and find only one cap is needed. It is potent stuff and a little goes a long way! Unfortunately I don't have a bath myself, only a shower but I will be looking into the other products in this range.

This is a lovely product. Weleda does not go in for fancy packaging or beautiful looking bottles but their products are great. This is a citrus bath milk and as it is a bath milk it will not produce bubbles or fizz but it will turn the bath water slightly cloudy. The smell comes from lemon and orange essential oils and it is refreshing an zingy so great for a morning soak or for after exercise. It leaves the skin beautifully soft after a good soak. A good well priced product that gives great results.

Weleda Citrus Refreshing Bath Milk 200mlYou do not need a lot of this to make your bath time special. The citrus smell is very nice and lingers on your body all day.Moisturising.It contains a moisturiser component and this leaves you skin feeling smooth and supple. It is very nice to use. It contains only natural products.Overall.This is very nice and all the family are using it – that means it is very good. I like the small it leaves and your skin does feel very nice afterwards.

This is my new favourite bath additive. The smell is beautifully citrusy and invigorating. I love Lush bath bombs and the Avobath is my favourite. This smells a bit like that, but you get a lot more baths for your money out of it. You only need a little bit poured under running water, and the scent is strong enough that it doesn't disappear as soon as the bath is run, like cheaper bath products often do. I think the milk is helping moisturise my skin as well. Love it!

Lovely fresh citrus scent. No bubbles (as you would expect from a "milk") but presumably the addition of orange oil makes it slightly more protective of the skin than plain water. I probably would not buy again, as the only obvious benefit is the lovely fresh scent - but I can get similar from other products which have other properties that I prefer (i.e. Bubbles, cleansing, bath salts for aching muscles, etc), but I have enjoyed using it.

Refreshing, enlivening, fresh fruity fragrance. This is NOT a bubble bath, it is free from drying synthetic foaming detergents and emulsifiers. No synthetic preservatives, fragrances, colourants, or raw materials derived from mineral oils. Dermatologically tested and suitable for vegans.Lovely to relax with this as the aromas are so cheerful. Recommended soak time is 20 minutes plus - enjoy!

A very gentle milk bath that leaves the skin very soft and fragranced. It feels hydrating too which is a bonus. It smells beautifully citrusy. My only slight reservations are that it is in a glass bottle, which I'm bound to drop into the enamel bath, and that it doesn't provide any bubbles, just gentle, Sikh water. All in all, if you are not bothered about bubbles it's a really lovely product.
