This pen is made in France and measures 13.7cm with cap, 12.0cm without cap. The diameter at front section, where you hold it, 9.6cm. It is a very comfortable length and grip.It is medium weight at 27g and exceptionally well balanced. The ink flow is generous and the pen writes very smoothly and easily.The cap clips on neatly and securely without too much effort. The cap posts very securely with no wobbles.The pen comes with an ink converter for bottled ink, which will save money in the long term. Waterman pens usually use generic universal ink cartridges which can be obtained cheaply but if you buy a serious pen like this it would be a shame to use cheap ink.Overall this is an exceptional pen to write with and comfortable all day long.

I have two Hemispheres: the nibs are very smooth indeed and have good ink flow, although the fine nib is a bit 'drier' than the medium ones.On the negitive side: the plastic finger grip is a little slippery to hold; also, the nib has very little character to the stroke. The medium nib is noticeably broader than a M fitted to a Waterman Expert (which is slightly less smooth initially).It's a fairly small (thin) pen and I don't care to use it for long essays, but it is a good note-taking pen, although I don't find it a particularly 'expressive' writer.Nevertheless, I was tempted to buy another with a fine nib and it is as smooth as the medium; obviously it is finer and has a little more flex.

I have wanted a Waterman Fountain Pen for a while now and this morning my "hemisphere" arrived from france within 3 Days. What amazing service THE PEN SELLER.I am absolutely over the moon with it to say the least.The stainless steel nib is so smooth and delivers the ink to the page with such ease that I could have carried on writing all day!!!Not only is this pen stunning to look at, it is also a nice size and weight and I would recommend anyone wishing to start or return to using the traditional fountain pen to end your search here. You will not find a better pen at this price anywhere.I own quite a few Parkers but am already looking to buy another Waterman to add to my growing collection.I now know why the are called the Rolls Royce of Pens.

This pen just makes you want to write forever. The look and feel of this pen is great and people comment when I write with it as the pen looks so good and also people can't believe I write with a fountain pens.One thing I would suggest when you purchase this pen, buy some actual waterman ink cartridges. The reason I say this, is I believe the ink cartridge provided with this pen may have been old and stale or it is not an original waterman ink cartridge as when I was writing with it, it left gaps in the writing where the ink was not flowing.I purchased waterman cartridges and I can't believe how different the pen writes, it makes you wanna write forever as the ink flows through the hemisphere cleanly,

The pen looks great but not as good as what I expected to be like what I saw in the picture, the material looks a bit cheaper of course but the quality of the pen is really ok for me, I mean it's very smooth and painfree when I write. And it comes with a blue color cartridge so don't worry, it's just well - hided under the pillow or whatever that is called, just in the box. What I love is how fast the delivery is, I ordered it on Saturday and the product arrived at the carrier facility in my town on Sunday. And I got the product on Monday morning!! That is like just one working day!! I can now do my work before the deadline arrive.

This pen is an absolute joy to write with!! Even my untidy scrawl looks better when I use this, and it is a tactile delight, so that the chore of letter-writing becomes an almost sensual pleasure. I've long been a fan of Waterman pens - one of the few remaining bastions of good craftsmanship, imo - and the Hemisphere range is an affordable one, although it certainly doesn't stint on the iconic Waterman quality. This is a slim, lightweight pen to hold and the nib glides smoothly over almost any writing paper - even a heavier, slightly textured paper. I love it, but whilst I find it the perfect writing instrument, it might be just a tad too delicate for male taste! :-)

Some time ago I decided to buy a decent mechanical pencil, and went for the Waterman Hemisphere. I've been using a while and loved it, so decided it would be nice to have a fountain pen to match. Eventually, when the price was at a level I felt I was prepared to pay, I went for it, and I have no regrets. The pen is just as lovely to use as the pencil; it's comfortable to hold in my hand, is a good weight, and smooth across the page. I've bought a refillable adapter to go with it, but haven't used that yet as my first cartridge isn't empty.

It is a great delight to use this fountain pen on a daily basis. The fine nib works with absorbent paper and avoids bleed-through and feathering. The pen is on the drier side and I like that because when you have to write lot of notes quickly, it is difficult to wait for the ink to dry- just remember to cap the pen while pausing to write. Moreover, I am quite biased with Waterman fountain pens- they have stood the test of time. This fountain pen feels light for daily use, but the metal body is very sturdy.

For a short time I have been using fountain pens, in an attempt to make my writing possible to be read. At last I have found a pen that makes this possible. Not only that, I am disabled and have found it impossible to write for more than a few minuets without extreme pain. This morning I wrote for over two hours, totally pain free. The pen writes very smoothly indeed, my one wish now is that this situation continues. I am not able to recommend this pen highly enough.

This arrived and I was truly excited. Its a long time since I have used a fountain pen and I was not disappointed. I wanted to go very expensive, but thought I would train myself back up first. Well, they certainly know how to make you feel in control with this one. It is sturdy, handles well and it just glides across the page. not sure I need another one as this has now become a bit attached to me.

I just love writing with a fountain pen and my 20 year old Scheaffer had done sterling service but the time had come for a change.I chose the Waterman because my grandfather who has been dead for 25 years always said that they were reliable and provided a good write. He was not wrong. I have been absolutely delighted and I bought the filling adaptor so that I can fill it from a bottle of ink.

A very nice pen. It has a good weight to it and writes very nicely. I'm no fountain pen connoisseur but it's good and not scratchy. It says fine nib, but it's not very fine. I would prefer it a little finer but I've and no problems with it and I fact, I like this pen so much that this one is a replacement for the one I was given as a gift but lost!

My advise to pen users is.......DON'T USE BALL PENS and buy a Waterman fountain pen instead. I love the mostly black finish with a hint of chrome. It reminds me of an old Cross fountain pen I used to have but this Waterman Hemisphere feels and writes just as well.Writers using fountain pens tend to write better than rushed ball pens. Five stars.

Bought it to replace a similar Cross pen which was a complete disappointment due to having to initially dip it in to water every time I wanted to use it. This waterman pen is at the other end of the joy spectrum - it's just beautiful to hold and use. I've regained my love of writing through this pen and would thoroughly recommend it to others.

The 1st pen arrived without the guarantee card in the opened box.I ordered a replacemnt. It arrived next day in a perfect condition with the warranty card inside + cartridge. The pen quality is impressive. It has fine nib, slightly scratching, but overall feels and writes good.
