This camera is rated age 5+. My little boy is 4 in 4 months, but he's getting along with it great as it's quite simple to use. I bought it in preference to the cheaper models as the resolution of the pics is slightly higher (although still fairly low at 2 megapixels) and there are games on it, and the facility to listen to MP3s and Sam loves music (headphones - proper ones that sit on the head - are included). We haven't had it long, but he can already take a picture, turn the selector so he can view what he's taken, apply funny effects and frames, use the movie feature, and play most of the games. A couple of the games wouldn't (I think) entertain a 5 year old lucky enough to play on any of today's gaming systems,

I checked out lot of reviews of cameras suitable for young children before buying this one. My 4 year old was always keen to take photographs "like mummy" and was always pinching the old digitals which her older sisters had inherited. Unfortunately they weren't really suitable - not being incredibly robust and often having considerable shutter lag which isn't good for a 4 year old! We bought her this camera for Christmas and she has absolutely loved it and we've been pleased. Yes, the quality isn't very good but it looks fine if you view them on camera's screen which she mostly does. And the other features have been great fun for her - from making her own videos, to editing photos,

My daughter was 3 when she got this camera, and she was a little young because there are (to) many functions in the camera for a 3 year old. Now she's 4 and can start using the games etc. The camera takes nice pictures if its hold steady and the flash works very fine. Haven't changed batteries in a year!The only fault on the design is that there isn't a neck strap like on a real camera so the kid can have it around the neck and have an easy way to grab the camera. The holes a to small for a real camera strap. So it can only hang in one of the ends.

I bought this for my seven year old sons birthday. He has so much fun with it. It is so easy to use and has some fantastic functions especially the special effects you can do with photos he takes. Connects very easily to the TV so you can share any photos or videos taken.The photo and video quality is quite good for a child's camera.My 10 and 14 yr old have also had fun using it. The casing is very durable and good grips for a young child.As yet to download music to the mp3 player. Would certainly recommend for any child.

bought this instead of the pink/blue one as it has 2 mega pixles. My boy loves it even more than I thought he would. Walks around the house taking pictures of the ornaments! Eats batteries so advise buy rechargables. Games are easy enough for a 5 year old to play without constant help or supervision. My boy found his way around the menu really easily. An expensive toy but I'm really glad we got it. Better to have one big present than 5 little ones that wont last.

Delay in review as bought as a Christmas present for my 8 yr old daughter - who absolutely loves it, especially the picture editing function! She needed no help in working out how to use all the features of the camera. A couple of concerns were whether it would be too young for her and use of 'AA' batteries, but no worries on both counts. In fact batteries have lasted well given the amount of usage. Would definately recommend.

I purchased the camera for my son's 4th birthday in November and he absolutely loved it, definately the toy he's played with the most.He loves playing the games on it as well as taking photos and making his own short recordings.It is very easy to use as I only had to show him the once what buttons were what and how to do the different activities. As for the games he showed me what to do!!!Would definately recommend.

Our daughter has only had this camera since xmas 2009 and so far it is a 120% fab 'hit'. Every aspect of its form and function has been just great so far. Every part of it is being explored and its ease of use is allowing exploration without parental input which is particularly great with something that touches on 'technology'. Well done.

Excellent product and worth the extra money versus the standard one. GOod fun to play with as you can put frames round pics, distort faces etc and the games are good too. Really good fun and good for hours of fun.

My daughter, 9, loves this camera. It has many functions and luckily it works properly. Inside memory becomes full in no time, so extra SD card is necessary.I was also very satisfied with the quick delivery.

bought this for our son for his 7th birthday, he loves it and takes it everywhere with us!!! so much fun with all the different frames you can put on your pictures. i would totally recomend it for anyone!
