I bought this toy for my soon 15 year old boy who has a severe developmental delays among other problems. I thought he might throw it on the floor as it might be too ''babyish'' for him, but no, he loves it. He has memorised most of the buttons, and he slides the little button on he side to which activity he wants (very good for fine motor skills). He mainly likes the music bit, but he also gets to the ''Fun facts'' or the ''Super Sounds''. He had it now for the last 3 months and has not been bored with it yet, which says something about the number of activities on the apple.It is also a durable, quality toy that will weather countless throws and bumps (on a carpet). Bought this for our son's second birthday and it hasn't left his side. There is so much to do and it's very lightweight so he has no trouble carrying it around with him. We haven't found the sounds annoying and there are flashing lights which he finds fascinating.**UPDATE**14 August 2016Our son is now four years old and he still enjoys playing with this. He's investigated a lot more and has managed to work his way round it with great ease. There are so many different choices. Each letter can play a tune if on the music setting - this is the setting most loved by our two year old daughter - and the worm in the top right tells the time with a description of what happens at that particular time

We were very pleased with the Aphabet Apple bought for our great granddaughter who is 2, she is a quick learner and seems to have a good memory too.The machine speaks with the utmost clarity and is by far the easiest to understand from this maker that I have heard and my hearing is not good these days. We have had many over the last 30 years for our sons then grandchildren and now great/g/children. Many of these teaching aids have been handed down and still work now so it was money well spent.Highly recommended.Ray and Jeanne Hathaway. KENT

Bought this apple for a Christmas present for my 18 month old girl. She loved it, keeps her hands off my laptop and phone as she can press all the buttons on it and dance along with it. Each button has a different tune, besides the worm sings 3 different songs as well. I am sure that when she is older she'll be happy learning the letters and phonics off it. Besides there are interactive games on it as well. Couldn't wish for anything more. The only thing is that the letter P does not light up but its a small fault that happened to our apple.

Very pleased with this purchase - bought for a three year old. Tried out some of the features before giving this present and decided that it seemed like it would be a very good early learning toy. Perfect…she loves all the different songs and already knows which button to press for her favourite, in this case "Old McDonald Had A Farm". So many different learning programmes that I am sure this VTech toy will provide fun for many years to come. Her mum loves it too.

We bought this VTech Alphabet Apple, our youngest niece. After a little research on the net we thought this item was the best way to go. It seems well made and durable. The clear thing here; is there is simplicity to this educational toy – but with the numerous settings, to give different games and different levels of difficulty. Thus in essence a ‘toy’ that will grow with the child and hopefully not cast off to toy heaven.

My son although too young (1 year old) for this toy he loves it. I can see that it will grow with him over the years and is robust enough to last! The pronunication of the letters is accurate and clear. The flashing letters are great and they have letter animals which are interesting and different like k is Kangaroo, i is iguana this is also phonically correct! I would recommend.

I highly recommend this product. My grand child uses it every day. It is the best educational toy I have come across for children between 2 and 4. There are plenty of tunes and games. The sound is excellent. It is easy to use and carry around. Fairly strong, can stand most of the common shocks when used by small children.Highly recommended.

My 2.5 year old LOVES this! It's quite big & good quality with big 'keys' to type with lots of fun & educational activities and sounds and lights - what's not to love!Some of the games and activities are for him to 'grow into' and I think this will still be popular over the coming year or two.Would recommend from aged 2

This is an excellent product. The bright colours give it instant appeal lots of games and lights and music. My 18 moth old granddaughter loves it . It is light and sturdy for her to carry around and has withstood the odd drop or two. I would recommend it as being a good learning tool.

Wanted something that was educational and that could be played with for my granddaughter. She loves it as she can carry it around quite easily and it is very interactive for her, able to choose which program that she wants to play on, she is 17 months old and loves to play with it.

This was really good for my granddaughter although she tends to want to just listen to the songs. From an educational point of view it wasn't stimulating enough for her. All that said she still likes to play with it & seems to like the sound of the voice in it lol

Nice size easily portable. Good colours, lights and sounds. Generally a fab learning toy. Plenty of settings to stop it getting boring and the different settings will accommodate different learning stages. Very happy with this purchase, its currently in the car.

This item appears to be of a robust construction, which offers the promise of a long service period.The devices programedemands its attention, which is a vital feature in the learning process.Thhis being so I feel its purchase is money wellspent.

I think it's great and the different features are quite interactive and educational... However, my daughter is almost 4 and thinks it's boring and I almost have to force her to play with it lol it's quite good though I think and I do recommend it!
