When you first open the box containing your new Vogel 445 TV Wall Bracket it all looks a bit intimidating and complicated, especially if you didn't play with Meccano as a child. However, take a deep breath and spend a few minutes with the illustrated manual (or watch the YouTube installation video - check Vogel's website) and it quickly becomes clear that clearly it's not a quick process, but it is relatively straightforward. There are three stages, you attach the hanging frame to the VESA mounts on the rear of your TV, attach the main bracket to your wall and then hang the TV onto the bracket.Of course it will need a very secure fixing onto your wall and various bolts are supplied and you use the appropriate set for the kind of wall you have. The main bracket has a relatively small mounting plate which doesn't seem to rely on a cantilever for strength and there are just four bolts holding it into place and so with a cavity wall you'll have to be sure to be screwing straight into a wooden stud or equivalent - one of those electronic gizmos that can 'see' studs and pipework inside your wall will be very handy for locating this. Vogel supply a printed template you tape to the wall to mark where the bolt-holes should be drilled, you have to be sure to get this as straight as possible and there's a mini spirit-level in the kit to help. Later, when the whole bracket is folded against the wall the mounting plate will be positioned slightly off-centre and because most TV's have all their sockets and connectors arranged to one side you're advised to position the mounting plate away from them and toward the other side of the TV.When you come to hang the TV onto the fixed bracket there's another opportunity to adjust the position to really ensure it's absolutely level. The bracket also has the option to tilt the TV forward about 20° with a clever click-release action - if you don't need or want a tilted TV then there's the option to fix it in a vertical position with a little clip-on tilt-lock. With the TV in place the movement is smooth and easy and needs just a light touch. It feels nicely damped but it certainly isn't frictionless and if you bump into the TV it doesn't quite send it flying - nor will it drift to one side if you don't quite hang it perfectly vertical. The bracket pretty much disappears when folded shut and looks substantial but quite sleek when extended. The bigger section of the bracket, that four-part section attached to the mounting plate, has sturdy metal sections in the middle but the top and bottom sections are made from plastic and serve as cable ducts and have removeable plastic inserts you use to keep cables tucked neatly inside. It takes a little bit of patience with the sparsely-worded illustrated instructions and/or the slightly hurried installation video (keep your finger near the pause button to catch the details) but with a bit of effort you get a very secure and effective TV mount. It looks expensive and has a smooth secure-feeling action and should keep your expensive TV flying safely around the room for many years. You'll need a very fortunately placed wall stud (or a solid masonry wall) to get a secure fixing in the right position in your room and it would be worth checking you have that before ordering, but apart from that obvious limitation it's a really excellent quality TV bracket.

I really need to divide this review into two parts, installation and finished quality of the product.1 - installation. To summarise, fairly easy and straightforward but with two issues.- You put the template on the wall, tape it up with magic tape, and drill through it. Easy. You need a 10mm drill bit, the guide suggests you predrill with a 5mm. You need to go in 80mm which is very deep. Four holes. Not too tricky. The key here is use a good, sharp, fresh drill bit. Don't cheap out on the drill bit. I'm suprised they didn't provide one actually.- You then have to screw the bracket base to the wall. This was hitch number one, a bolt needs tightening but it virtually touches the hinge bolt, making it near impossible to tighten up. Luckily I found a very narrow walled socket and managed to "persuade" it in with a hammer, but it was almost a major mounting issue. To be fair I think three screws would hold well but it's good to get all four in fully. Beware of this, it was a close call. See the image.- You then put a cover over the base to hide the bolts. This is hitch number two, I realise they want to hide all the screws but what's the deal with putting a screw where you can't fit a screwdriver, I had a lot of trouble getting this screw in and almost gave up. See the image.- Then you put the brackets on the tv, attach the tv to the base, and it's all pretty simple. The spirit level is magnetic but the top brackets are aluminium, err....what? But anyway you can hold it there and check it's level, if not, there's a small adjustment possible at the bottom via a knob. Failing that, the two grub screws at the bottom (this will make sense when you actually do it).- Then you can route your cables. Done. Nice.2 - In use. It's awesome. Nothing short of awesome. You can turn it easily with one hand, and pulling the top unlatches the tilt, so you can tilt up to something like 5 degrees which is a lot. It can rotate the full 180 degrees and push back against the wall in two positions, one about 15cm to the left of the other. Highly configurable. So - summary time. It took the best part of a day to fit it but most of that was tidying cables and sorting out the area, and then rerouting cables afterwards. The actual fitting probably took about 2 hours, much of which was spent dealing with the issues highlighted. It's one of those products that's hard to rate because once it's up it's awesome, and solid, but getting there was a journey! If you can, pay someone else to put it on the wall :)

This item was not available in the US (at the time) and so... I bought it from Amazon UK and paid the $50 freight hoping for a product that spared me "buyer's remorse." This wall mount hardware is engineered by a team of meticulous and fanatic Danes. God bless them one and all! The packaging was excellent and it arrived free of damage despite the transcontinental holiday journey. The pictographic directions are universal and language barrier-free. A VR phone app lets you position the TV for kicks. The unit mounts easily and the supplied hardware for multiple substrate contingencies was supplied by a generous hearted company obviously proud of their product. (I do a fair amount of home refurb projects and have the attendant skills and ample tool chest that went largely unused. ) The simplicity of the mounting brackets and the elegance of the supports that mate with the TV are a dream. Little details like plastic endcaps for the extruded aluminum supports prevent late night lacerations for the addled inspector. The telescoping bracket is just under 2 inches thick retracted and extends an impossible 24" from the wall without a groan or quiver. The steel construction operates smooth as butter, is strong as an OX and is easily worthy of an Aerospace engineer's nocturnal emission. The TV once mounted can be leveled with a single pivot point support. I paid more than I anticipated for this wall mount bracket and it outstripped all my most persnickety expectations. It brings me a sense of inner PEACE and JOY every time I use a SINGLE FINGER to extend and retract my oversized TV. Did I forget to mention that the unit has a built in wire chase to prevent unsightly tangles? In a word it's AWESOME!

This is a bit of kit that feels pretty premium- despite being thinner than I expected, it’s weighty in the right way, without being so heavy that it’ll pull your wall down (though do a quick DIY wall check before you start!), it definitely gives the impression of well-built strength. I’m told by friends it’s a very reliable brand (I’d never heard of them)Although the product photos all show the example TV sticking out quite a large distance from the wall, you can of course adjust it so that the TV is not very far from the wall at all, and having the arm contracted like that feels just as secure as when you’ve got the TV sticking out halfway into the room! (depending on the size of your living room…)The full extension is clearly designed for unusual circumstances where the TV might need to permanently be at a sharp angle- I’m thinking maybe TV’s mounted in pubs might be an example of this.Installation took me longer than I’d care to admit, but I think my impaired DIY skills are probably more to blame than the instructions, which were relatively straightforward although not the clearest I’ve ever seen.Do be careful with particularly heavy TVs and weak walls though- if you’ve got a really weighty TV, the fact this wall mount has a relatively small surface area connecting to the wall means there’s a slight danger that, if put in the wrong place, there really be could some damage to the wall, and/or to the TV (which one will be more expensive to fix will depend on your circumstances). If you need a TV mount, this is a properly high-quality one and, I think, a good investment.

This is a beautifully made, strong yet light TV mount that folds down to a discreetly hidden section which lies almost flush to the wall when pushed fully back. The arm is impressively strong and has a smart black powdered paint finish. We installed this in our lounge - in a recess to one side of a chimney breast. The chimney breast would have given the TV the most central position in the room, but we felt that it looked too dominant here, and were not convinced that a TV should be mounted just above a wood burning stove. This mount allows us to pull the TV out from the corner of the room and tilt it round so that everyone gets a good viewing angle without having our room dominated by the television as a focal point. This was our first time of attempting to install a TV mount, and - it's taken more than a month to get as far as reviewing it as we had to get some help to ensure that we weren't drilling into electrical wiring in the wall. Although described as pre-assembled, this doesn't arrive looking as shown in the item photos. The articulated arm is not attached to the frame that goes on the back of the TV - you mount this arm to the wall, attach the frame pieces to the back of your television and then two people lift the TV with the attached mounting frame onto the arm. There is a fair bit of work involved in the installation of the mount. Once installed, though, it feels very strong and secure, looks understated when extended and has a very effective cable management system. An expensive but excellent TV wall mounting system, that perfectly addressed our needs.

At a RRP of perhaps ten or even twenty times the price of most swivel 'n' tilt TV brackets, you'd have the right to expect this to be the Bee's Knee and Trousers and Jacket of the TV Bracket, and that is certainly what you get. It's obviously targeted at the Modernist interior design perfectionist, or perhaps professional interior designers working on high-end hotel rooms and suchlike.Given that, I would imagine that most people who purchase this would be spending a few more quid getting a professional in to mount it, so to get it up and running is a lot more challenging than usual: The bolts are 80mm long, and there's a tricky cover for the wall bolts to ensure that sleek, minimalist look.Whilst the manufacturers do do everything in their power to support you - you get all the gubbins, online support and even a QR code to link to instructional videos - it's still not really a job for a beginner, and in truth if my old man wasn't a joiner it would still be in it's box until I could get a bloke round.Once up, though - amazing. Comes out nearly two feet from the wall, hugely adjustable with the lightest of touch, and would probably withstand an earthquake, My gaff's just one big room downstairs, so now if I'm doing a bit of paperwork at the dining table and want to watch TV at the same time I can do so.Highly recommended for the perfectionist, then.

- Reviewed by fitting to a Samsung 40" LED television -This is a very high quality, well engineered wall bracket. There is some weight to it but in the good places like the fixings and the joints, all of which are beautifully made and move effortlessly.Installing this for me was not a problem, i have no concerns about the walls in my house though so this gave me one advantage (1960's terrace house with nice thick walls). The instructions were good and clear i could easily follow them, it took me about 20 mins to get the bracket and the TV on the wall.Movement of this is great the 20 degree vertical tilt is very useful as it means you can mount the TV higher than you may normally consider. The whole frame will fold away and sit back into the wall and then to move it back out is just a one handed affair. Thanks to the well engineered joints i can see this lasting a very long time.I have seen some very cheap and in some cases nasty wall brackets before. On one occasions a neighbor had one where the hinges failed and the TV smashed on the floor. The moral here is if you are spending £300 or more on a TV and you want it on the wall be prepared to pay for what you get with wall brackets and the quality of this one gives you piece of mind that your TV won't face plant the floor.

This is my first suspended TV wall bracket, so I was careful to make sure all was double-checked before drilling the 1st of deep 4 holes to mount it on the wall. Initially I was a bit sceptical about it holding my 48" Samsung curved TV off the lounge wall given the TV's weight, but Vogel is a good brand and their own website allows you to enter your TV make & model number to check compatibility with the bracket. Installation is pretty straight forward in terms of drilling holes - just read ahead and take your time is my tip. For a bigger or heavier TV it's a 2-person job really for attaching the TV onto the bracket but everything else is then easy in terms of tightening up and securing.Themain benefit of the bracket is the huge range of articulation you get on pulling the TV away from the wall, and then in rotating it left & right. It's so easy to move the TV without too much effort which is a real bonus in getting the perfect viewing angle. No downsides so far, and it's not yet fallen off the wall, so just remember to go into your Samsung TV's settings and set the audio output to "wall mounted" rather than "surface mounted". Overall, an expensive but quality piece of kit which deserves 4.5 stars.

I haven't had a bracket by Vogels for years until I discovered this. I used to have a TV bracket by them in the days of heavy cathode ray tube TV's and it carried the weight for years. When the TV went, the bracket remained! This bracket is just as well made, in fact it is even better! Supplied with a lifetime warranty, this heavy duty bracket will carry a 26 to a 55" screen, up to 18Kg or 40lb's in weight. This extra thin bracket will snuggly hold the TV as little as 3.5cm from a wall, but will also extend to a maximum 51cm!This bracket will also tilt the TV down by 20 degrees and turn it around a full 180 degrees.A heavy duty fixing kit is supplied, with nuts and bolts that will truly bear the weight.Included is a templat for wall fixing that includes a centre line for the TV so you can fully be certain of the positioning of your screen. With a QR code to scan so that you can instantly find a video to watch an installation on youtube, everything you need is provided to make sure you can fit this properly. There is even an instruction book! This is truly a great bracket that holds my 48" screen well and I trust this!

I purchased this directly from the manufacturer - but felt compelled to leave a review here too, this bracket is that good! I have recently purchased an LG OLED TV and wanted a high quality, slim, full movement bracket. Quality being key - there are a lot of cheaper mounts available, but having used them in the past I'm not sure I would trust them with my new TV.Mounting was relatively easy and completed in an afternoon. All the components (even the wide-ranging fittings included) are high quality, everything I needed except the drill bit was there. You level and tape the included template to the wall, mark and drill, the rest is tightening screws.Adjusting the level after was really easy,I didn't use the included spirit level, but it's a nice touch. No matter how well you level up, it will never be perfect, and being able to do a fine adjustment after is great. Now it's on the wall and looks great, everyone comments on how good the TV looks. Like any good item, you kind of forget it's there until you need it. Then the smooth and easy movement, combined with the sturdy feel makes you happy you paid the extra.

This is my second Vogel's TV bracket, the first one I have had for about five or six years, so I can testify to the quality and longevity of the brand. The hardest thing when mounting is to find somewhere suitable on your wall. As I live in an old house it took me a while with a stud finder to locate a suitable point. Once I had, I stuck the template to the wall, drilled the holes and attached the included fixing bolts. There is a video online available to help for the less DIY savvy, but if you are really unsure I would maybe suggest getting help as this bracket could be holding a lot of expensive weight.Once installed the bracket holds my 49" TV securely and the range of motion is really excellent.I can now angle it to wherever I am sitting in the lounge with a touch of my fingers. The bracket, whilst looking quite stylish if you peer behind the TV, actually does a good job of being very unobtrusive. The TV will actually fold almost flat to the wall if that is what you wish and then come right out into the room for viewing.I can very highly recommend this bracket.

This was the latest offering from Vogels TV wall mount and suited me because of its flexibility. I had already had previous model and I knew the company made a good quality product as time as gone on TV have become lighter and bigger and with a 55 inch TV i needed the flexibility to be able to push the TV flat against the wall and then be able to pull it out to go diagonally across two walls in a corner of the room .I didn't find bracket which has such a range of movement. I know its expensive but it suits my particular need so if you need flexibility and good quality this is the one . Its in White as well.Because of its flexibility its important that you have a really good study of what rangeof movement the TV gives you once on the wall and on the bracket I used a single piece of (the length of the screen) wood attached to the bracket todo this. Expensive but nothing compares with it and it also comes with a great set of instruction beware if your not IT savvy as you have to download an App on your phone or i Pad the written instructions are good enough.

This absolutely did what I wanted: a very shallow depth but fully flexible wall mount. I used it on an LGOLD55C9PLA. Due to the design of the TV itself (VESA in bottom half of the TV) the mount must set lower on the wall than for a normal TV of the same dimensions but no problem accommodating this and the mount does not protrude below TV. Two minor quibbles:1) The instruction app (in addition to written instructions) was useful but I couldn't get the the fancy Augmented Reality part for positioning it on the wall to work and I therefore couldn't proceed in the app beyond that point. Fortunately the written instructions and old technology (tape measure and spirit level) solved that problem2)Neither the written instructions nor the app (as far as I could see) explained how to adjust the tilt. I didn't need this so didn't mess with it - but be prepared to contact the vendor if you do, to ensure you do it properly and safely. It's an expensive bit of kit but does the job very well. I would buy it again.

The product was used to hang a 43 inch TV on wall. Very easy to fit to the bracket to the TV and the rest of the bracket to wall. Needed to buy some longer screws because of the amount of insulation between plaster and wood in the wall. Had no problems unlike other reviewer with bolts being close together possibly because I have different spanners. Certainly useful to have a variety of spanners, pliers , mole grips etc. Joining the two parts of the brackcet needed to people but that was due to the size of the TV rather than any problems with brackets. Have had TV off the wall since and very easy simply requires two thumb screws to undo and lift the TV down.Plenty of screws left over because provide all sizes of bolts to attach to different TVs.I chose this model because I thought the bracket looked less conspicuous when fully extended than some other makes. Would buy again and recommend it.

Made from quality materials. Relatively easy to install and permits leveling vertically and horizontally after the bracket has been bolted to the wall. I paired it with a AVF JAK101 to mount a Samsung sound bar under a LG OLED 55B7V. The combination (which is about 25kg so well within the 30kg limit) works well. My only criticism is that the second stage mechanism is very stiff. It is not possible to fully extend the bracket without applying considerable force: certainly more than you would want to apply to an OLED screen. Therefore, to do so, you end up having to work from behind the TV and manipulate the bracket directly. This is a shame as the first stage is very smooth and you can rotate the TV with only fingertip pressure.Perhaps the second stage will loosen up over time... However, even with this minor annoyance I would still choose this over lower quality / cheaper products.
