After the cat gained an interest in the plants on the windowsill where she likes to sit, I had to move them and thought Cat grass would be a good alternative.I brought two boxes and discarded the trays provide, also added a layer of compost below the mix to give the roots a better hold.The grass grew super quickly and I have had to trim it already within just a month but it seems to have slowed since. Creates a very grassy aroma when cutting and also entertains the cat.The cat initial wasnt sure if she was allowed to munch on it but after some encouragement did try some. Not super interested but the shredded grass around the tray says otherwise.

This has been a great help to us, as we have an indoor cat and we fetch him grass most days but there is not much about at this time of the year and through the winter. This grass was showing through within a couple of days on the kitchen window ledge, sitting on the tray provided and within a few more days it was growing exactly like the picture. It is as green as the picture shows on the box and the cat has been eating it. It certainly does the job it is meant to do regarding hair balls and it could not be any easier to prepare. We are so glad to have it and I shall keep reordering through the winter to have continuity.

I still give this 5 stars. However, with the 2 which I have bought at separate times recently, the lids are not secure so when the container is turned upside down to pierce the base for drainage, the vermiculite falls out and makes a mess. I have bought it countless times for indoor cats and it used not to do that. When I buy again I will tape it on and hopefully it will be OK. There are plenty of seeds which are large and securely packaged in a bag; the container is packed with grass when it grows and ready to eat in less than a week.

Didn't buy it from Amazon (got it from my local pet shop for way cheaper) but it was so good that I had to write a review. This was super quick and easy to grow, my boy isn't as keen on tackling the mini bush as is but eagerly snatches at the strands I hand him. I like keeping my guy indoors and I find that unlike the random grasses cats can get their paws onto, this is actually safe for them to eat and not immediately throw up.

I bought this kit because it's being sold by an awesome cat charity and because my cats love grass! This was so simple- just followed the instructions, I put the tub on a sunny shelf, within a few days it was 2 inches tall and bushy! My cats love it?

Arrived super quickly and as described. May need to be packaged more carefully, as the miniscule seeds have leaked all over and came out everywhere when I opened the package.

Takes about two weeks to grow, but that's reasonable. My cat has munched quite a lot, but not too much. Have just bought my second pack! Meggie gives it full marks! Purr!
